Driving home from the bank this a.m., I started listening to one of my all time favorite, (but seldom played
) CD's and it took me back to when I was 12 years old and went to see my very first Rock Concert. I remember how he (Bob Seger, in this instance) became drenched with sweat and looked like he must have burned a million calories. I remember rushing out and buying Live Bullet, and playing it over and over and doing my best rock-n-roll star gyrations to the music. (No wonder I never had a weight problem then.)
I got to thinking what my Uncle told me about his wife's daughter's husband, who is one of these old time rockers. "It's incredible. ... loses between 10 and 15 pounds each night he performs. Thats why he can eat the way he does. He has to, or he'll waste away."
HMMMM.
Out comes Live Bullet, and I begin gyrating my way through my morning chores. The sweat poured out of me, but as the tunes rolled on, I became more frenetic in my pace, and had a ball! (My face hurts from smiling so much!)
Now, I don't recommend this as a method of weight loss, as I'm sure it was all water, but I lost 1.5lbs! At a time when the BF is having his way with me, I guess I told him!
Anyway, I'm no rock star, and I know that losing weight this way is not healthy, but I did have a good time, I got moving and I bet if I incorporated my 12 year old antics into my life every now and again, I just may start seeing results while feeling a bit young again. (Thank goodness nobody walked in on me or I would have had to throw myself on my sofa an scream bloody murder at whomever caught me acting silly.
)
Remember those good old times? Think of one today. It will do wonders for the rest of the day!
Keep the Faith!
