Im going to go into college in a minute and see how my students have done, I hope they havent all failed because of my teaching!!

Phew - I never want to experience that again! DD got her grades and has got her place at her first choice of university - she`s doing optometry.
Her best friend has got into Oxford. However her BF - with 3 A grades didn`t get any decent offers so he`s taking a gap year.

This time last year I was distraught because I hadn't got into my first choice uni (City University in London to Study Business and Management) but I'd picked up my results (BBC (plus C at AS)) and had just secured my place at my insurance (Liverpool) where I am now happily studying business studies and popular music!

It isn't the end of the world if you don't get into your first choice. Hindishgt is a wonderful thing and I realised that I only wanted to go to London to go to the theatre most nights, when in fact I probably would have been to poor to do that anyway!!

Wow, can't believe it was a year ago I picked mine up! Luckily I was going with the Open Uni which has no academic entry requirements so it didn't matter what grades I got. Didn't stop me panicking though!

including our wonderful DD Laura who got BBB, (plus at A2 BBC) so is off to Lincoln which is her first choice

Congratulations Merylj and I love tigger, those results are fantastic!!

Portsmouth college had a great year, the pass rate is up from 97% last year to 98% this year so everyone is pleased. My students did very well, there were a couple of surprises, a few who passed who I thought didnt stand a hope in hell and a few who should have done better! But overall good results.

I wonder how Matt did???

I don't know where she gets her brains from. Not Me!
