Still there but getting better with every puff of Ventolin. I'm trying to restrict the use as I really hate taking drugs..

Thanks Jo and Princess!

And hope you continue to get better PIO!

Work is good Kim! I'm in a much less stressful group at work!

My mom had her 4th surgery in less than 2 months yesterday (basal cell cancer on her nose) and finally seems to be on the mend. Last summer it was my DH who was extremely ill but recovered. This summer it has been my mom. :rolleyes1

How are the boys?

I am so glad to read things settled down for you at work.

Sorry to hear about your Mom, but I am glad she is doing better.

The boys are fine. Xander had a low grade fever overnight, so I kept him out of school today (only his third day). During the day, he never even got high enough for me to bring out the thermometer. Hopefully, he will go back to school tomorrow, but he is already trying to get out of if. My SIL said the public school district here does not allow more than 10 days off the whole year. That seems crazy to me. We need 5 for our vacation and he already took one, so he only has 4 for the rest of the whole year! Unless he is really sick, I am always going to send him from now on. He went to private school last year. I think he missed more than 10, but I never counted.

Low tolerance for sick days. Is he feeling any better?

I hope he's better, because I am sending him to school as long as he is capable of walking. Four more days for the whole year seems insane. Kids his age get sick a lot. I remember one week in Kindergarten where I kept him out M-Thurs, because he was so sick. It was right before his birthday too. I did not want him to pick up new germs and miss his Saturday party.

Kids that young usually pick up germs a lot from school. But let them send him home. Big difference from being sick and playing hooky.

That is exactly what I was thinking. If they send him home, I am hoping it does not count against his 10.

I hope Xander is feeling better.

If the school has a policy about number of days missed, it may be a case of them implementing a government or state policy. We have something similar over here and the days at school is a measure that the State Government legislates.

In practise, it is a lot more flexible.....as no school want to have a sick child infecting the other kids, they will send the child home or insist that the child stay home.
