What you doing for Thanksgiving? Last And how are you?

Invited to five houses. Turned down two (My sister and my husband's cousin). Going to my MIL's, my Dad's, then my FIL's. Ordered a HoneyBaked Ham for each place. Spending three hours at each place before making the 30 minute drive to the next place. Yes, our parents manage to live about 30 minutes apart from one another. All live far from us to. My Dad lives in the middle, so he is the closest. The rest of us all live on the outskirts.

We have done three every year, since Crap's Dad moved to Vegas in 2006. Prior to 2006, we only had two. Now, families are starting to branch off even further, and the sheer amount of events is just crazy. My sister will not go to my Dad's house (she's being dramatic). Crap's Mom wants just her individual family, so she broke off from the extended family being held at a cousin's house. My Mom (whom I rarely hear from) expressed an interest in moving here at some point. If she did, that would be four places to go. It has been a while since I have heard from her, so I doubt she still plans to move here.

If we had a bigger house, we could host here and have the families commingle or at least come and go at their respective times. My MIL prefers a lunch celebration, so they can go out in the evening. Crap's Dad prefers a dinner celebration, because it is more traditional. I think my Dad likes midday, because it gives him enough time to cook without waking up at 4am. It also gives the family plenty of time to bond in the evening. For us, it works out that they pick different times, because we can attend all three.

Interesting....that is nice of you to be so flexible in travels!

One stop for us...Cape May, the house we share with my sister. 7 for the day total.....including 2 Coast Guard recruits who get a day off from basic training.......at Last!

How's your weather Susan?

Last

This morning I peeked out before daylight to see if there was any snow. But just pouring rain. Then when we left around 7:30am the rain was gone and it was a cold windy 36 degrees. Had a little snow/ice mix on the car.
Real sunny all day but stayed in the mid 30's all day. It is 32 degrees now.
I wouldn't be able to cope in the northern states, lol.
