Who'd of thunk I'd get giddy over a dessert party reservation? LOL BUT I AM FOR YOU!! :cool1:
Can you believe how fast the time is going? June is so close and it will be here before you know it! :cloud9:
Seems like everyone I know is in WDW right now! :confused3 Three friends are vacationing there. One is my colleague at work, and every few I'll get photo txts or general updates on what rides they are going on. :headache: I AM ENVIOUS and SHE KNOWS THIS!! LOL

Still looking forward to all your updates. Hope school is going well for you! :)

THanks! :goodvibes Time is going by so fast. I can't believe I'm in the 80's already. I should be updating soon after my 10k on Saturday. This week at school has been RIDICULOUS as far as school work goes but after today I am officially on spring break!!!!!! I'm looking forward to finally being able to relax and more time for the DIS of course :)

Oh and don't worry about those disney txt updates. Just think, you will be able to return the favor when you go on your trip

Yesterday was my 2nd race out of the three, the 10k. I was nervous about this one because it was double the distance of my last race. When I started off running I wasn't feeling to good but I got past it and finished my first mile in 8:33.

Once again, after my first mile I started to get side cramps again. My mom told me I shouldn't eat anything before I run. I had just eaten a small bowl of cheerios an hour and a half before the race started. I thought that would be ok but I guess not. :headache:

Nevertheless I kept going. I knew I wouldn't be able to run the entire thing. I am not it shape for that  so I ran as much as I could and walked a little bit, then ran, etc.

My goal for this race was 1hr:30 min because I figured that I would slow down a lot by the end of the race. However, I'm happy to say that my time was 1:11:15s. :cool1: But I must say that today I am SO sore. Clearly I still need to spend some time in the gym :rotfl:

In two weeks I will tackle the 10 miler. Hopefully I can keep my momentum going. :thumbsup2

How cool that you finished within your goal time - even earlier then expected!! :yay:

Good luck with the 10 miler - am sure you will be great at it!

Congratulations on your race!!! Great job!!!:cool1:

Thank you all for the support! The DIS really helps my motivation. lol

I'm VERY excited right now because as of about 30 min ago, our Disney Trip is officially paid for. It's so nice to see a balance of zero. :cool1: :cool1: Now our trip feels that much closer and I can relax knowing that its paid for in advance :thumbsup2

Congrats on finishing your races and on paying off your entire balance!!!

YAY! Congrats on both!!!!! :cheer2:

First off, you're doing so great with your running!!!! Finishing in 1:11 is fantastic, espeically for someone who just picked the sport back up a few months ago. You are going to do great at the 10 miler!
Not to mention...you are going to be able to walk all over Disney! :lmao: I think my problem when I went to the world was I was so sore by Day 2, I had to slow down. So, with regularly running, hopefully you'll be able to tackle more.

Second.... congrats on paying off the trip!!!!:cheer2::cool1::cheer2:
I bet that is such a relief and a weight off your shoulders. Now you can think about your summer vacation and the dessert party without having that little voice in the back of your head nagging you about money.
Plus, it's one more pre-trip necessity taken care, meaning you are inching closer to the actual trip! :thumbsup2

:cool1::goodvibes:banana::yay::woohoo: congrats on paying it off and your race :)

Thank you! A lot happened last week. Now Spring Break is over and its back to school today :sad2: lol but at least its getting warmer outside :thumbsup2

So I just completed my last race in the triple crown, the 10 miler (insert scary JAWS music). This was the race that I was dreading. Not only because it was 10 miles, but because the main part of the race was through the hilliest park in the city :scared1: So I really didn't have a time goal, I just wanted to finish the race. The plan was to run the 1st mile or so and then alternate between running and walking the rest of the way.

My first mile was ok, some of it was uphill :sad2: so I did it in 10 minutes. I didn't eat breakfast so cramping wasn't really that big of an issue for this race. I was going strong until about mile 5 when this huge wave of sleepiness hit me and I really just felt like taking a nap . But I kept going. I pretty much walked the last two miles because my feet were starting to hurt but I finished with a time of 02:04:25s which I am VERY happy with :thumbsup2 The fastest time in the race was about 49 minutes. I just don't know how they did it.

At the end of the race they usually have some free powerade, water, and panera bread. But what I love about this race is the free pizza! ;) All in all I'm very happy with all three races and I did end up losing that last 5 pounds in the process. This was my last race in the triple crown but next week I am doing another 5k just to see if my time has improved since the 1st one. And now that I know that I can do this, I want to stay in the gym and keep running. Maybe I'll have an edge on everyone in the sprint to Toy Story Mania when I'm in disney :lmao:
