So I just happened to be talking to DBF about our trip a couple of days ago and he mentioned that he might want to try out for the American Idol show again. Well, last time we did that we missed our lunch ADR so I decided to come up with a plan!
My first thought was to make a reservation for 50's prime time for dinner, in case we missed the lunch. But then I got to thinking and I decided that I wanted to try Ohana. I showed DBF the menu and some of the pictures of the food from the Dining reviews. Once he saw the wings and "all you can eat" he was sold.
So I told DBF that if we missed lunch we could just do Ohana, and if we didn't miss lunch we could do 50's prime time. Well his response was, "Why can't we do both?" . Well I guess we can!
This plan could go two ways.
1. DBF trys out for American Idol and we somehow end up missing our lunch ADR. We would use a counter service credit for lunch somewhere and then have dinner at Ohana (Reservation is at 8:40). Since we weren't planning on staying in that park the entire night anyways.
2. DBF decides not to try out, or he does try out but we don't miss our lunch ADR. So we still get to eat at 50's Prime Time at 1:00pm, but we are still having dinner at Ohana. This means that we will pay out of pocket for our Boma breakfast since that's the least expensive of our Table service meals, but we will also get to keep a counter service credit that we were going to use and we can put it toward a CS meal that we were going to pay OOP for.
I Hope all of that made sense
So either way I will now be eating dinner at Ohana!

HOWEVER, I do have some kind of good news. Disney has now opened up the reservations for all of March, April, and May (I swear they are teasing me). So hopefully that means I won't be waiting too much longer to book, but nevertheless, my battle with the Dessert Party continues!

My obsessive compulsiveness will have me checking everyday anyways
You guys are going to love it. The atmosphere at the Polynesian is wonderful, and I think it'll be a relaxing end to your day, especially if your DBF does try out for AI.
Basically my dentist told me I am probably clenching my teeth a lot when I sleep, which I probably do and my jaw muscle is inflamed. So the entire weekend I was on ibuprofen and muscle relaxers which equaled me being asleep for the last three days
Hopefully I will be able to get a new one next month. That will make updating MUCH easier as its kind of a pain to use my computer right now.
