A "How-To" Walk Through of Drinking Around the World at Epcot World Showcase

Suscribing..Awesome thread!:thumbsup2.. Me and a bunch of friends go drinkin' around the world usually once a month or so... last time we went we made t shirts with every country and a check box next to the name... we even had guests sign our shirts it was a lot of fun:cool1:

Love the post. Showed it to hubby who is NOT a disney nut. Even he is excited about visiting EPCOT. Your writing style is perfect!

:thumbsup2

We first drank our way around the World at the F&WF during our honeymoon and have since mastered the art!

I adore this post.

We'll be drinking around the world on July 20th, from lunch at San Angel to dinner at Le Cellier. I'm sure the Canadians will be thrilled to deal with two drunken, sweaty intermittently-conscious pirates who are in need of steak. :rotfl2:

:cheer2:great post

The main thing DH is looking forward to on our upcoming trip is drinking around the world. Have lunch ressy at Le Cellier @ 2:20pm to help us pace ourselfs. Planning it on our last day a Fri w/ EEMH, thank goodness Dh is driving home.:lmao:

One word of advice, be very careful in the heat. The alcohol will dehydrate you fast. You are better off doing this during the cooler months or at least in the evening hours ;) Good luck to all who try this, I know I cannot do it :lmao: Maybe 30 years ago, but not now. Watch the next thread will be about all the "drunks" in EPCOT... as long as you aren't puking your guts up on another guest, there should be no negative comments :woohoo: Have fun all of you doing this.. and please come back to give us you outcome...:thumbsup2

We're planning this for this years trip, split over 2 days. (It's heck getting old).

Actually, Glenn is going to do beers of the world, and Sharon is going to do deserts.

I will go to Epcot for the first time this January. Is it common to see drunk people there having a good time? I need to know what to expect :lmao:

I never make it past Japan. (starting in Mexico) Kirin always seems to be my last beer! :confused3

Great post! I have never had a drink in each country; I stick to my favorites and sometimes have more than one at those places instead. ;)

Mexico (La Cava de Tequila! :thumbsup2 ), Germany, France, and England are must-dos for me. (Although, honestly, I don't know why I always buy a $7 Bass at England when I can get a six pack for that price at home!)

Best.
Post.
Ever.

I admit, when I saw the title, I thought "If you need instructions for this, you're an idiot." But, the post is complete, precise, and indispensable.

Bravo! I'll be making full use of it on my solo trip next February/March.

Great post.

Wish I had read this before my last trip back in December. I wish the DW would have given me more time and freedom to enjoy what few beers I had.

Now over 2 days, I might be able to do this.. I haven't drank in year though..:woohoo:

Just when I thought I couldn't learn anymore from the DIS ... :lovestruc

I agree best post ever :lmao:

DH has been trying to convince me that we need to drink around the world on our October trip. I can't wait to show him these tips then we'll see how he feels about it!

My wife and I are doing this in October. The F&W festival REALLY puts a crimp in the plan though, selection overkill!

I would add that for wine lovers, the wine store in Italy does tastings for a fairly reasonable (for Disney) price. The girls working there are pretty knowledgeable as well. BEWARE that you are very likely to walk out with an expensive bottle of wine, and one that your alcohol dulled palate (and brain :)might have selected that your later sober one would not.

For the chillier months, Germany has a kiosk selling Glühwein, which is a sweet spiced red wine served warm (well, hot when they give it to you). Lots of sugar and insanely overpriced at $5 (a BOTTLE usually costs about what they charge for a cup!) but can hit the spot if it is brisk.

I've never seen anyone just falling down drunk at Epcot, but I'm sure it happens. Next time I go I'm REALLY gonna try to explore each pavillion in depth. Thanks for the tip about the tequila bar in Mexico. I usually skip that one, this will change that.

Now just to figure out how to time Morrocco for when the belly dancer is performing. "Why honey, what an AMAZING coincidence!"

Hands down Norway has the best beer in epcot! I had a few drinks of the beer at the ABH (Carlsberg Beer) and it tasted like heaven. Man it was soo good. I highly recommend anyone going to ABH to get the drink there. You won't be sorry.
