A horrible reminder to all.

That is so sad and my prayers are with that family. You did a good service by reminding people. Thank you.

How sad!:( Hopefully this situation will make someone think twice and save their lives...hugs to you and the family involved...

My DH doesn't wear a seatbelt and it drives me crazy! We have a mini van so I know if there is an accident he becomes a human missile...I've tried telling him over and over again, yet it does no good. Maybe I'll make him read these posts. With my kids they were never allowed to be unbelted in the car...that rule applies to this day. One trip my oldest DD (maybe 7-8 at the time) refused to put her belt back on..I pulled off the road and refused to move until she did. It took about 15 minutes of sitting there but she finally realized she was not going to win and put the belt on.

Thank you, everyone that shared stories. I need to make sure my teenager understands how important seatbelts are, now that I'm not always with her to remind her to buckle up.

Holy Smokes.

I have goosebumps. Because I have a 1990 Suburban (In mint shape that I love, by the way)
and my seat belt on the passenger's side is stuck.

I usually use this for work, and only noticed it because DH and I had it the other day and I was on the passenger's side.

This WILL be fixed tonight.

Holy Smokes.

What a tradegy.

Froggy - glad you are still with us. Hope you get your eyelid soon & that the court case goes your way.

My mother would probably be alive today if she had been wearing her seatbeat when a car crossed the medium & landed on top of my parents' car. Paramedics said it wouldn't have made a difference for my father since the other car landed on him - but it definintely would have made a difference for my mother.

A friend's nephew was thrown from his vehicle on the interstate - he was hit by 3 other drivers - sadly he died at 25.

Sat on the side of the I-71 outside Columbus for a few minutes before he realized we could spend the day there or he could buckle back into his car seat - a cadillac of a car seat I might add.

I don't remember seeing any. Some of the transportations get so crowded, there's only stand only room too (even for kids:( ).
