A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

I can't beleive I forgot to write this. I am going to go back and edit the post, but here is what I forgot.

After the Villians show, as I was walking out, Mom said someone must’ve lost a game and held up a card. I looked and OMG!!! It was my CF card from my camera. I had dropped it out of my bag. I almost lost all the pictures I had taken on my SLR for the first few days. Thank goodness she found it!

Love her pirate outfit...she looks adorable in it. And, you SHOULD put that pic Skip likes on your Xmas card...just think of what family/friends would think!

Yesterday I signed up and sent my info in for the Agent education program. I had to wait and see if I was approved. I was very nervous and figured it would be several days till I heard anything back.
I got the confirmation email this morning that I was excepted. I am so excited.
Her's the kicker...well for me at least....we are staying at Yacht Club. Yes, they are putting us up in a Deluxe resort!

I have booked my flight for Aug 14 and will stay at AS movies that night. I have always wanted to try it once, and I figured since this was a learning trip, I might as well give it a go...even though I do LOVE POP. The next day I will check into Yacht club and get my welcome packet. I will also be receiving a 5 day park hopper ticket. So I will most likely hit Epcot or DHS.

We already start touring resorts that afternoon (around 4) and have a dinner and dessert party at Epcot that night.
The next morning we are up early for breakfast at Cape May, then off to Port Canaveral to tour the Dream for a few hours. Then back to AK for the afternoon and the late evening is our own.

Up again early the next day for breakfast in the convention center and classes. Then off to inspect Ft Wilderness and lunch at WCC. Then touring several more resoerts. THEN we have tickets (well it says they are waiting approval yet for that, so it could change) to La Nouba. After that the night is our own again.

The next day is similar with breakfast and seminars. Lunch at PoP Century and touring more resorts. And ending with touring Blizzard Beach. This day ends late afternoon and we are on our own again.

The last morning has breakfast and Trade show, which I really don't know what that is and a few other things. Then a graduation ceremony.

A few other girls are still thinking of going from my Travel Agency and one put her info in today and is waiting aprroval as well. She is the one I requested as my room mate and vice versa. Once she is approved, I'll tell you more about her. We don't know if she'll be approved so fast, since tomorrow is Sat.

I will most likely start a PTR at some point and time, but for now, I need to work on this TR and get my Cedar Point TR going for my blog.

I know. I even told her took lin her suitcases too.
I remember how you guys dressed up so cool. I don't have anything that great. But we still looked like pirates! LOL!

I got 10 pages behind! River has been sick since last Saturday and missed this whole week at school and it looks like I'm going to have to take him back to the doctor on Monday he is just not getting better so I haven't been on the computer much.

Thats great news about the seminar! The whole thing sounds wonderful and I can't wait to hear all about it. I agree the staying at ASM the first night is just part of your learning experience

I have to say that Claire is the cutest pirate ever! And I agree with Skip, that picture is wonderful. I love that expression on her face!

We stayed at ASMo on our first trip in'08 and we loved it. Yes the buses were a little better at Pop since they don't share, but that was one of the few differences between them IMO. I think the theming at ASMo is soooooo much better than Pop though. I don't care for the theme of Pop at all, but I love all the classic movies at ASMo. We stayed near the Andy's Room courtyard and DD was so fascinated by that area! Lots of great photo ops! But I hear people say that the food court is so much better at Pop, and I just don't see that. To me they were exactly the same. I have come to realize though that I am not nearly as picky as most people. Stuff like that doesn't matter much to me. When I am at Disney, I'm just so happy to be there! So I think you will enjoy your stay there but it will make you miss Claire! She would love it!

I do know I will miss Claire. She heard Skip and I talking the other day and she was like "Where you goin?, when? Whats this for?"...my answer was SCHOOL! I don't know if she knew we were talking about Disney, but I think she had an idea we were. I know she could never fathom her Mom would go without her. I got her mind off more questions by telling her that she got to stay with Grandma while I was away and she and Grandma would have to take care of Dad.

When Katie and I go by ourselves I usually don't have a computer along. But it would make me feel better if I put one card in, used it all day, then downloaded to the computer for backup at night......

Yes, I was so happy she was alert and saw it.
No the cocktail are not free. They were $9 plus tax and tip if I remember right.
I hope she does too. There should be 3 of us there if all works out. A couple other are debating it yet. I think we all are members on dis, but some post more than others.

I know!!!! I would've been really sad if I lost that one. I guess in the grand scheme of things I am glad the other one was lost if I had to chose.
I don't think I will bring the computer again. It was a pain to have, and it didn't even do what I wanted it to. The nice thing was I could get online a couple of times through out the trip when we were a Residence Inn. But I can live with out that. Of course, by the time Aug. comes, I may change my mind.

Soon it was time for our main meals. Claire’s dessert came out then too.

After we finished up our main course (mom and I got the same thing) the dessert menu came out. Isn’t it so cute? It was an Invitation.

We ordered and waited for that. Claire got a little antsy that we were taking too long, but we reminded her that she didn’t want to go to the club, so she would have to wait patiently and she seemed fine after that.

Srdjan came over and entertained Claire while we finished up. She was all googly eyed!

I've read some mixed opinions of the service on the Dream. Some people say the staff is too rushed b/c the ship is so big and they have more tables to cover than on the Wonder or Magic. I'm hoping that was just a bug that they have worked out by now.

River is so sad he had to miss the graduation ceremony, and his class took a little field trip to his new school for next year he missed that, and his last baseball game of the year. We are supposed to leave for Disney on Saturday and I don't know what we are going to do

They were pretty kid friendly menus.

All the food looks very yummy! I think my DD would order just what Claire did. She loves steak and shrimp. All the desserts look so good! I had read bad reviews of service too, but we had fantastci servers. I heard many were so new, theat they were overwelmed, but we lucked out. I didn't gain, because we were on the move so much. Now that I have been home..I have gained!

I am so upset right now. WE are having storms come through....once again. Claire and I are in the basement. Not too long ago we could hear the wind pick up. I ran upstairs and looked and ran back down.
Skip just called and told me the brand new trampol;ine that we put up about 2 weeks ago was blown. He was laughing. He said it must've blown right over the top of the house and ended up caught on the mail box. I looked out to see it right in front of the house. He said he went and pulled it back. It is totally ruined! The metal is completely bent. He says he can fix it, but as bent as it is I can't imagine it being safe again. Claire doesn't know, but she is going to be crying nonstop when she sees it. Skip told me not to worry.

Well he just came in. He looked at it and he says he'll have to get a new frame kit...um thats the trampoline... He was kind of a jerk about it laughing and stuff and says don't tell Claire. Well if we leave the house or go outside...she's gonna see it...and whos gonna here all the crying? ME!

She is going to be so upset. Our old one broke last summer and she waited all year and got one for Christmas from my Aunts and Mom. It was NOT cheap. And she has only had it put up for just a few weeks.

All this bad weather everywhere is crazy! Our neighbors shed blew over onto Kadence's little tykes playhouse 2 weeks ago. All four walls split apart. It's just sitting in a pile now.
I can't get a hold of thier landlord (it's a rental) so I'm still waiting till I can speak to him.

I hope you get your trampoline fixed soon.

This last storm slid just north of us, and right toward you. We were in the basement for a little while, too.

Poor Claire won't want to hear this, but at least everyone is O.K., right?
