:earseek: Your joking about my avatar right? Not the pic of me in green!?

I meant the avatar - not you of course.
The pic. so reminded me of Pee Wee - my hubby and I were trying to figure out if it was him!
Thanks for the awesome advice! :flower:

AK - Walk through the turnstyles, and turn left and you'll head over to guest services. Tell them its your DD's birthday. And if they dont tell her she has a phone call, ask if she has a phone call.

Epcot - Walk through the turnstyles, and head to the left of spaceship earth, and up a slight hill, keep looking to your left and you'll see guest services. Again anounce its your DD's birthday and theyll give you the pin.

MGM - MGM has the same pins as MK. I usually dont get another here. But, again head to guest services (im not entirelly sure where it is... i beleive to the left after the turnstyles).

Hope this helps!

We were just there at the end of June and we picked my Son's bday pin up at the Guest Services at AK just inside the turnstyles and to the Left.

Also....yes, the Guest Services at MGM is also inside the turnstyles to the left. :)

We arriving on my actual birthday (one week from today  ).
Some of this sounds kind of fun, but I am wondering if I will be embarrassed by all this attention.
I know our resort knows it is my birthday (they asked on a questionnaire). I will have a cake after dinner at 'Ohana.
I think it is great that so many others love the big spectacle. Just not sure if I can be that carefree, for lack of a better word.
Deep down, I have to admit, that I am excited about arriving on my birthday. :charac2: I will be 36 and my birthday is always the after thought. My mom didn't "believe" in birthday parties. My husband is great in so many other aspects, but birthdays aren't a big deal to him. No surprises, no cakes...(he told me to order a cake for dinner this year, if I want  I did). Last night I ordered my own birthday gift, too! (a new digital camera for our trip :) ). I swear DH is not a jerk, he just doesn't value the birthday occasion. I always make a huge deal over everyone else's birthday and get disappointed with my own. :charac2:
I think it will be weird to have a few people treating me different because it is my birthday. DH probably won't want me to get a pin, he'll say that is for kids.
Although, the kid in me wants the extra attention, I think it may be embarrassing. How do you all "let loose" and just enjoy it or do you just have really outgoing, extroverted personalities to begin with?
BTW, it is my kids first trip to Disney and our first day there. I really do want the day to be MORE about them than me.

There is no better place to act like a kid and be carefree than WDW!!!! Take advantage of all the extra attention, by the sounds of it....you have a lot of years of not having attention to be made up for!!!! As far as the focus being more on your kids...I'm sure that they will enjoy all the extra attention that comes there way, by you getting extra attention! And absolutely get the birthday pin!!! They are not just for kids! Please have a wonderful trip and birthday and by all means ACT LIKE A KID!!!!!

We are staying at the Hilton. Any idea if they will participate in birthdays? We are going in Sept. and would love to celebrate both DDs birthdays (one right before we go and one right when we get back) Should we do them on the same day or 2 different days? We are doing the CRT and there they would need to be on the same day. Any info. on the Hilton? ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

Just wanted to subscribe to this thread. We are going in Oct and celebrating my DS12 birthday. Wanted to know all the great ideas. I am making him a shirt, it should be interesting...

Steph you have a lot of great ideas in here. Thanks! My wife turns 40 on 9/9. We will be down 9/1 --> 9/5, and I thought we could celebrate the B-day a little early. However, she really does not like attention and would be embarassed. I don't think she would go for the birthday button. I think I will call the hotel (we're staying in Fort Wilderness Cabins), and see what they can do for me/us. I was thinking I would make an autograph book for my wife, and when I take my daughters (DD7 and DD4) to get autographs I could get b-day greetings for DW. I thought I could put a post-it in the book saying "please write a b-day greeting for my wife who turns 40" or something like that. Then I was thinking I could take the autographs, make a collage with pictures from our trip, and get it framed as a present for DW.

Any other ideas? I would really like to do something special for her birthday. I'm doing so much for the kids, and I would like her to feel special too.

Thanks

Call ahead to see what cabin you will have. Have them decorate it. Whomever you talk to should have the number to the florist or whatever dept your thinking about doing for your wife.

Just have fun with it.

great info!!! i have celebrated my 6th & 22nd birthdays at WDW, and you gave me some great tips for May, when we are going for my DBF's birthday. thanks!!!! :teeth:

We planned on going to WDW for my DD 5th bday, but can't go in Jan so we are going this Nov (4 days after my DH's 35th B-Day!) instead which will be 2 months early.

Can she still get a pin & should I put Un Birthday or Birthday on her shirts? She has several Disney T-shirts and I am planning on using Puffy paint on the back!

TIA,

K

You can still get the pins. They dont ask for proof.

I wouldnt use the un-birthday, as you are celebrating her actual birthday...

Disney doesnt care when your birthday is, you can celebrate it at Disney at any time of the year... :)

Good luck!!

I didn't read every page, so I appologize if this was already answered...

DH and I had considered this for DD (will be 9). We were concerned if DS (5)would feel bad. Does anyone have suggestions or feedback on this? Would CMs make both kids feel special, or lavish attention on DD? I suppose we could celebrate for both kids if they don't check, but their BDays are technically 5 months apart. I think DS would know it wasn't "true".
