A great big pickle...sigh.

I am exhausted!

It's the theme that did it for me. Tropical, gorgeous grounds, the sand, the renovated rooms, (I will be crushed if I don't get one) and the lake. Ahhhh. :cloud9: It is comparable to CBR and I really want to try something new. :) So, CSR it is. :yay:

I am calling first thing in the morning to change my ressie. I am so excited.

Now I must hit the hay! Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!

Get some sleep. We'll talk again in the next day or two. I'm so glad you chose CSR. Now have sweet dreams.

Of course you'll get a refurbished room..and if you don't at check-in ask for one, even if it means changing the next day.:thumbsup2

Guess all the photos and recent TR's helped with the decision. :)

Rest well. I'll check in tomorrow afternoon after we get back.

Nighty nite, everyone! May the angels rest on your pillow.

I just read through this entire thread...

The debate I had when booking rooms was CBR, CSR, and WL. We ended up at CBR because I wanted to be gauranteed a KING bed. WE are cramped in a Queen at home and we needed to be able to relax on our Vacation. CSR did not have King Rooms for our dates and WL was more expensive and couldn't gaurantee a KING room.

Next time we go... when I can convince hubby to go back I am hoping to use RCI exchange on our timeshare and get the WL villa's... We had our Anniversary dinner at Artist Point and the feel of the resort to us was wonderful.

CSR would also be an option as my hubby loves the CSR feel. We really liked CBR though and we were in Jamaica 45 also!

Hope you have a wonderful trip... Oh... and if you book a standard room you can always request a King room. There was a couple we met at the Hot Tub at CBR who said they booked a standard but ended up in a King room without the add'l charge...

Spoken like a true southern girl! Are you sure you're not a GRITS? (That's Girl Raised In The South for you Yankees!)

I wish I were from the south! I've got mad love for the USofA

Trust me. It was very difficult giving up the possible dumpster view. :rotfl2: Plus, it's a DELUXE!! But, I'm looking for more of a tropical/beachy feel...so CSR it is. Yay! :woohoo:

I didn't have time to check in for 2 days and I'm glad there's a decision. It was beginning to get painful! LOL

I've never stayed at CSR but I want to some day!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: YOU GO GIRL!!!! Now I am dying to hear about the airfare pickle! :thumbsup2

My dad is home for the weekend, they are seeing how he will handle being home, my mom still works, but my oldest son is staying with her to help her and for company while my dad is still in the hospital. Hope your dad is doing well too!!!!

Congratulations on your decision :). I stayed in the Cabanas ... I thought it was it was more "tropical" and laid back than the Casitas.

Definitely Cabanas, more centrally located, has the beach, has the hammocks, and is away from the Convention center, has a gorgeous view of the Casitas from across the lake.

Yipee! I just signed back on. CSR will be very romantic. Cabanas or Casitas....Hmmmm...Which is more important, looking at the pretty fountains outside your door or chillin in a hammock and getting sloppy on pina colavas? I would go with Cabanas because it is centrally located between the pool and the food. You can stroll thru the casitas at night when it is cooler for a romantic stroll.

Hey, I am a GRITS :thumbsup2

Ranchos is my favorite, but it is themed after the desert, so not tropical. Cabana is the coastal theme, and Casitas is the urban theme. Casitas is closest to the convention center, and furthest from the pool. Cabanas is central to both the pool and the Pepper Market. Ranchos is close to the pool, and furthest from the Pepper Market. Each area has its own bus stop, so you are never more than a couple minutes walk. Each building has an elevator... so I always request the top floor for the view and the quietness. (Can't stand to hear noise above me when I am sleeping in!)

The entire resort is beautiful, and I have yet to see a rude CM there. My check-in has always been super fast and pleasant (POP took me 30 min to get checked in, and I was only there for 2 days - no park tickets, DDP, anything!) We usually check-in around 9am, and have been able to get right into our room each time. My room has always been very clean. (Can't say that about POP either... but that was a whole new pickle!) You will have a wonderful time at MY resort! I'm so jealous!

So I called and changed my reservations. The CM thought I was nuts. Yes, nuts. He asked me if I understood that I was going to lose my MK view and honeymoon suite. ZOMG!! Really? :upsidedow Nooooo, I had no clue! So I told him that I wanted CSR. He checks and says there are only king rooms left and is that okay with me. Uh..... lemmee think for a minute. The panic starts to set in ... king rooms left... 1917 rooms minus the king rooms :teacher: ...uhhh, that means the resort is gonna be packed! Ack! :scared1: I say yes. :thumbsup2 It's a done deal.

I just checked the special offers on the disney site and they've extended it. :faint: Now I have another two weeks of torture. Did I make the right decision? Gah. My husband told me to tell him when we land where we're staying. :lmao: :rotfl2:

Somebody needs to tie me up for my own good! :rotfl:

I'm with ya til the end!!!!! As stressful as it is....when it is over there will be nothing for you to plan, then what are you going to do?:rotfl:

Soooo still waiting to hear about the airfare pickle.:rolleyes1

Hey! Just read that you guys had some action in your area. :( Scary stuff. Hope that wasn't near you.

I've no clue what I'm going to do with myself once this trip is over and done with. Cry I guess. :sad1: Or...start planning the next one! Wee hoo!! :woohoo:

I'll write about the airfare nightmare tomorrow. popcorn:: These are some pretty expensive airline tickets in my possession. :bitelip:

Oh oh what happened in my area? Where was it?

I see you have family in Hamilton?????

I didn't read the article - just caught the headline that there were two killed??? A club or farmhouse? My memory is the pits. And that was only three hours ago!! :lmao:

I have lots of family in Hamilton. All on my momma's side of the family. Aunts, uncles and cousins out the wazoo. My husband's family (newly discovered...which ties in with the airplane ticket fiasco) are all in the Ottawa/Brockville area. Crazzzzzzy.

Good morning. I think you will find that a lot of the resorts are going to be packed--you are going in the summer. You are going to be fine. Take a deep breath and relax.

Concentrate on the "pickle" story of the air flight.

:)

:scared1: Well I will have to do some investigating to see where it was....

My 2nd son went to McMaster University (which incase you did not know is in Hamilton) so he lived there for 4 years!!! We are about 40 minutes East of there. Ottawa/Brockville we are West of those and about 4 hrs from there!

Ok now I am really dying to hear the airfare pickle....popcorn::

:thumbsup2 It's a done deal.
Good for you! I would take some time and determine what your requests will be. It sounds like you have a dedicated King bed which is good. Do make sure it says "KING" on the confirmation when you get it. So, your next requests will be "renovated room" and then section. Make sure you have which ever one that is more important to you as the first request. For me, the Ranchos section held ZERO interest so I requested Cabanas and then Casitas and DID NOT request Ranchos. I ended up with the coveted Cabanas 9B :cool1:.

I'm being charged for a king bed so there had better be one when I open that door! Um ... stoopid question, but how/when do I get confirmation of my ressie?
