A great big pickle...sigh.

Night Kathy. Enjoy your breakfast tomorrow! And get some time in for yourself!

Christine... I hear ya waiting until Sophia is older. I always do a phone interview before letting them come to my house, too. I keep references available for those that are interested, but have turned some down if I didn't think they were a good fit. I charge $30/day here, and do not change my price either. All kids bring their own diapers and wipes, and infants bring their own formula and baby food. I supply table food once they reach that point. I have them eat breakfast at home, then I give them a snack and lunch. I do not do a "schedule" or any formal activities. We have outdoor time, read books if they ask, coloring, play dough, etc. They do not watch hardly any TV at my house. I keep most kids from birth - 4 yrs, but I encourage them to go to preschool the last year before Kindergarten. Anyway... feel free to ask me anything!

I think I am heading off to bed, too. Sitting in 97 degree heat for 4.5 hours today has gotten the best of me! :scared: Chat with you all tomorrow!

Kari, sounds like we run our child care exactly the same way! Probably not here, but in Boston I charged for 365 days a yr, including my 3 week vacation, long weekends, closed the day after Christmas (hardly any kids that week anyway) etc etc.. They had to pay in advance , $10 per min late fee, and if a check bounced, it would cost them a week's fee - never had a check bounce.

Been the same heat here.....HOT and STEAMY!!

Good night - rest well. :goodvibes

Tracy, yummy ....tomorrow too. :) Dsil is grilling tomorrow night, so not sure what we're having. I never cook anymore...DD loves to cook...once in awhile in the winter before Sophia arrived, but I have her from 9:30 to 6:30 so no time or cooking.

I'm signing off as welll....

Nighty night....rest well.. Sweet dreams! :cloud9:

HAPPY Father's day to your hubby's.:thumbsup2

Lobsters! Lobsters are classified in two sizes, canners, which are the smaller sized ones (generally under a pound) and market size, which are the larger ones. I ate 13 canner sized lobsters in one sitting. I like lobster. A lot. :rotfl2:

OK! All I know is they put a really fat one in front of me on the ship, then our waiter came and cut it up for me! :thumbsup2

Have you ever tried the Disney Cruise? We did that this past Oct, and it was incredible! It was our first cruise, so we have nothing to compare it to... but I am considering selling my eggs to get back on the boat!

Tracy no can do a cruise. Nuh unh. I would be clausterphobic (sp) and it would be lights out right in front of everyone. I would rather chew my left arm off.

No way you could feel claustrophobic on a cruise! Well... inside room , maybe. We did a verandah cabin, so it was about like a hotel room with a balcony. We sat out there almost any time we were in our room. Walking through the halls is no worse than an indoor corridor in a hotel. The common areas were all huge and airy.

Our verandah:

This one you can kinda see the room. The verandah is behind the drapes, and the bathrooms were behind me. Kids are sitting on our bed (queen) and behind Tucker was the sitting area. The couch flipped down to make a bed for Avery, and a top bunk dropped down from the ceiling for Tucker.

I typed this whole post, then the boards closed! I'll try to copy and paste it later!

What lovely pictures. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wouldn't do well on a ship in the middle of DEEP water in the middle of nowhere. I would have a complete meltdown. Nope. No cruise for me. Ever. I'm getting anxious just imagining it. Sigh...

I'm trying to get my dining ressies in order. Has anyone ever eaten at Wolfgang Puck's or Rain Forest Cafe?

Not a big fan of Rainforest (we have them in Chicago and we also went to the one in Las Vegas--just so so food and way overpriced). We ate at Wolfgang years ago--my DH really loved it.

Happy Sunday!!

Tracy, I feel exactly the same about cruises..that deep water, in the middle of the ocean...no,no,no. I get anxious just thinking about it too.

Kathy, I'm not a fan of The Rainforest Cafe - nothing I can really at there but b/c we had a few in Boston it felt like we could be anywhere.

What's everyone doing today.

Kathy

Thanks. I woke up early as we had to take my car in -- $1700 to fix it. UGH! Not the way to start the week. I took Mark to breakfast for Father's Day and stopped and got my hanging flower pots and some flowers to plant in my planters. I also wished my daddy a Happy Father's Day and told him to continue to keep an eye on us from up above.

Mark is now cutting the grass; Andy is coaching and Mark went to lunch with my brother who is depressed about my dad today.

What is everyone else doing today?

It's raining here and is going to rain all week. Kid #4 is on a computer and kid #5 is making a card. Hubby is building a closet and I am cleaning the kitchen and trying to figure out what to make for supper. I am bummed out today. I don't like rain. :(

There's too many place to eat at Disney! *cross eyed*

Yuk...rain! I'm so sorry you are getting it. We've had so much rain this spring it is unbelivable. Everyone has mushrooms growing in their grass and DH is cutting ours now so the dog doesn't eat the darn things.

Yes, there are a lot of choices at Disney for eating. Have you thought of what counter services you want to try at the parks?

Aw, so sorry about the rainy day.

OMG Flame Tree BBQ!!!!!! My mouth is watering...it will be very hot when you're there, but you can walk down to the lower level on the water and there are ceiling fans...still hot, but much better.

And how about Columbia Harbour House? Go upstairs where it is quieter and pretty. :)

We don't do CS at EPCOT or MGM (sorry, HS has not grown on me yet)....other than a snack here and there...we never think to go to that place ..Sunshine something?? Downstairs by Soarin'....great place, but it always feels crowded to me...and I liked the old CS there.

..of course, you can always eat as the mood hits. ::yes::

I love Columbia Harbor House--sandwiches are delicious and I love sitting up top to people watch. We also love Comic Rays because there are so many choices--but I really liked the barbecued pork sandwich with elipse chips and DH LOVED his turkey wrap. We're not big on any of the counter service meals at the Studios either and usually use this day to go and explore a different resort and eat at their food court. At Epcot, we like Sunshine Seasons because there are so many different choices and also the Fish & Chips at Yorkshire County Fish Shop in England of World Showcase; we also tried the potstickers at Lotus Blossom Cafe last September and they weren't too bad.

Okay, I've been to Disney several times. Why have I never heard of any of these places?! I know one QS meal I'm having even if I have to crawl there to get it. That's muh philly cheesesteak sammich at CBR! :thumbsup2

I don't think you'll have to crawl! :rotfl2:

You need to go to allearsnet or the DIS home page and look at all of the counter service places and the type of food they offer. There are several that something other than hamburgers and chicken fingers! :thumbsup2

Haha. I *am* on Allears. :) I know there are two things I will NOT be eating anywhere and that's any form of hamburger or chicken burger/finger/strip/nugget/ball ever. Ever. YUCK.
