A great big pickle...sigh.

Haha. I *am* on Allears. :) I know there are two things I will NOT be eating anywhere and that's any form of hamburger or chicken burger/finger/strip/nugget/ball ever. Ever. YUCK.

I agree -- YUCK! I never eat a Disney burger--absolutely gross (McDonald's is better in most instances and I hate McDonald's!).

This is too funny - have had one Disney burger in 30 years....guess that says something!:rotfl2:

It's raining here and is going to rain all week. Kid #4 is on a computer and kid #5 is making a card. Hubby is building a closet and I am cleaning the kitchen and trying to figure out what to make for supper. I am bummed out today. I don't like rain. :(

There's too many place to eat at Disney! *cross eyed*

you can send some of that rain down here....it is 5 pm and still 99 degrees on my front porch:scared1:....suppose to be like this til the ned of the week

Wish I had known sooner--I would have sent you some of the rain we've had. I swear we went from snow to a day of sun to rain to two days of sun to rain. It's been the wettest winter/spring I can remember in a long time.

Anyone read this thread? Your thoughts? I agree (that) at Disney Resorts, parks & restaurants cleanliness, guest service etc has gone downhill over the last 30 yrs, but especially the last 5-10 yrs. I've always felt WDW got too large: too many resorts, too many parks = not the same stellar guest service.

I'd still not stay off-site though....just wouldn't be the same.

I have been following that thread off and on. It is very sad, but it seems to be a growing trend. On another forum that I belong to, the description of a stay at the Poly turned my stomach--holes in the comforter, a hole in the wall behind the dresser that was not "hidden", major stains in the carpet, globs of hair in the bathtub, etc.

Hi ladies!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
You were definately talkative....I read everything, but it would take me an eternity to respond, so I'll just say Hi!~~

Hi; had a so-so weekend. Had to dish out $1700 to fix car, then had to replace two tires on youngest son's car (another $250), took DH out for breakfast for Father's Day, broke my sunglasses. But the weather was great and the sun was shininhg.

How was yours?

Geesh...broke your sun glasses? Well, that was the icing on the cake of money spent1 You poor thing...

I planned to have a beer and toast your dad (even tho I only drink about 2 sips an over ice LOL), but I was sick yesterday.

Need to get to a Doc, but no health insurance and no money..so...and I fall between the cracks for any federal help b/c I live with family...what does that have to do with my zero income???? Everything I've tried for seniors 55+ has not helped b/c again..I live with family..but if I didn't live with family I'd be homeless... geesh!!!!!

Soooo...Tracy, any decisions on dining? What did you decide to request for room location at both resorts?

Sounds like you had an expensive weekend!

Ours was pretty good, but the weather could have been a lot less wet!

We had our Niece here Fri. night & Sat, then I got caught up on cleaning/laundry.

Yesterday, Brian wanted to sit around and do nothing, so that's what we did...the kids and I made him breakfast in bed, and we sat around and played Monopoly Jr, watched movies, etc. It was a nice relaxing day.

Actually, that was free...I just had to have screw replaced...the lens had only fallen out...it's scratched a little, but not bad!

I'm sorry you were , but thanks for the thought about dad. I had a scotch and water in his honor--his favorite drink!

Our government is so messed up...they drive me to drink!

Yes, Tracy...please do tell.

Good for you. I sometimes miss those days when the kids were little and we'd sit around playing board games.

Sorry about the rain...seems everyone is getting the rain we've had for weeks.

Piglets Mommy, sounds like a nice family day. I agree with Kathy - miss those rainy days when the kids were young and we'd play board games....and the Disney trips..and the Little League Games...and Girl Scouts... :rotfl: Yep, I miss it all. :goodvibes

I would have a lot of trouble believing that without seeing pictures. WDW takes great pains IMO to keep the resorts looking nice. I can't believe they would let a deluxe get THAT run down, and I think we would have heard about it here as well. Not saying they are perfect... just that sounds a bit extreme.

Sounds like a very LONG day Kathy! I hope you went and took a nap after all of that!

I know the feeling! Avery was complaining Fri night that her throat hurt, and all I could think about was the $200 weekend appt and strep test! Luckily, it turned out to be stuffy nose and drainage. Have you thought about going to the local health dept? I would call them and see if they will see you for something like that. I am planning to take my kids there over their summer break to get their immunizations.

We had a pretty good day yesterday. We slept in, then took the kids to see the Night at the Museum. Came home and cooked chicken and rice for dinner. YUM! Just a nice, easy day.

UGH! That's frustrating!
When DH was laid off last year, we tried to get insurance for the Kids through CHIP. We were told we didn't qualify because we could get coverage through my employer...the fact that it was over $800/month didn't matter...they didn't seem to care that at $800/month for health insurance, we wouldn't be able to feed the kids or keep a roof over their heads. It's so frustrating.

Yeah...it was nice to kind of do nothing, slthough they were going stir crazy since it had been raining for pretty much 2 weeks straight.

Today is a beautiful, sunny day, and here I am, stuck behind this desk.

Hey. Still raining here. Hasn't let up and is still forecasted for the next 10 days. Sigh.

Sorry to report that I haven't made any dining ressies. Have run into some pretty nasty stuff on the boards lately re: rotten trip reviews, rotten CMs, nasty comments made to posters, etc., and just not into planning anymore. It's very disheartening to read all that stuff. For one positive review, there are three negatives it seems. The magic kinda just went *poof* for me. :sad2:

I think I need some sunshine!

ETA: Christine - I requested Casitas 4 or 5 and Tahiti.

I'm sorry about the rain. It depressed me for weeks. We've finally got sun and HOT -- 93 the next couple of days (with heat index of 105.

Follow this thread--it might make you feel better:

It is a live report from someone at CSR now. And there have been a couple of great reviews of CSR lately too. I know you are worried about the Poly one...but that is just one case. As you know, people will write more about the bad than they will the good! You are going to be fine at the Poly and CSR! And I love the locations you requested--both are my favorites at both resorts!

Hi Ladies!! I just booked my Air for my trip!!! $99 each way...not too bad. I'm relieved now.

Sorry about all the rain...It is finally sunny here, after raining 19 out of the past 21 days. Too bad it is the middle of the week, and everyone's working.

We stayed in Tahiti at the Poly and loved it...easy walk to TTC for the Epcot Monorail or the ferry to MK, steps from the beach, close to the quiet pool, but still just a little more than a 5 min walk to the GCH. We were there whed DD was 2, and had a 1st floor room. It was nice for one of us to be able to take chrisa to the pool or for a walk, while the other stayed in the room while Martina napped. We had a gardenview room, but if you walked a few steps out, you could see the EWP and fireworks.

Morning, Ladies!

Did I kill the thread????

I hope not...we were having fun!

I hope you are all doing ok!!!:grouphug:

No, I was just really busy yesterday. And I think most of us were REALLY depressed with all the bad reviews of resorts yesterday and some of the bickering going on about whose fault it is. Some of the posts were just outright nasty!

The airfare sounds great--good for you! The weather here today is going to be 95! But you won't hear me complain...I'll take heat any time over cold and snow and rain! :)
