Well I'm off to take son to his eye check up.....it's so strange to be taking him on a Sunday. But he is amazed at how much he can see that he couldn't before the lasix surgery..I wish I was brave enough to have someone cut on my eyeballs

i hope the checkup goes well! That's cool that the surgery worked so well for him. my BF's Dad just had it done a couple of months ago and he seems really happy with it, too. i don't think i'd go for it..... i look better with my glasses on!

You guys must be getting soooo excited!!!

I'm sorry about the vertigo! I sympathize! I have soemthing called Benign Positional Vertigo. It has something to so with crystal in the inner ear making my sense of up and down etc all messed up. Some times, most of the time, I'm fine. But, when 've had a cold or my allergies act up it gets bad! Antihistamines help a lot.

I'm glad your feeling a bit better! Keep following the doctors orders!

i've had BPV for years, too - this was different in that it was worst when i was lying down! Lying down felt like i was on a boat that was slowly rocking.. it was disconcerting and very weird. i had to lie on my stomach and scrunch up funny to make it go away enough to sleep - that was helped by the fact i wasn't eating lol. Anyway it's much better now, the manoeuvres the doctor did really helped a lot. i'm still doing my best at getting enough salt - it's so hard to do something that's against normal instincts! However i'm feeling great - especially today after such a nice long sleep last night :

YESSSS we are getting excited! my sister tells me every hour at least that she wants to leave NOW! Neither of us are looking forward to the long bus ride on Wednesday (it takes about five hours to get to Toronto) but we know that once that is done, and the lugging of our luggage all across Toronto is done, we will be ON OUR WAY!

24 hours from right this minute i will be anxiously waiting to finish work for the day so i can go to the mall and pick up the last things i need. 2 days from right this minute i'll be right here in my office, arriving for my last shift before we go. 3 days from right this minute we will be on the Greyhound, just coming through the last exits for Barrie. 4 days from right this minute we will be in the Orlando airport. 5 days from right this minute we will be at the Magic Kingdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How super amazing is that?!?!?

I'm glad you had a good nights sleep. Again don't over do.

My son now has 20/25 vision and it will only get better. He did really well.
He was reading the highway signs on the way home today and before he use to have trouble reading them even with his glasses on.

Tonight it's PACKING TIME! my BF has already said goodnight as he will be watching the Stupidbowl, so i am on my own! Jess is currently having her hair combed out by my stepdad, and when they're done and she's recovered, we are going to pack! i'm excited!

I have 15 Stupidbowl watchers at our house, thank god we have a large house I am hiding out upstairs and posting on here and checking out my cruise info.
I was invited over to my cousins house with alot of the other ladies but refused I have a migraine coming on. Besides the weather is yucky.

There is so much junk food in the house every one of those couch huggers brought thier favorite superbowl dish.
My DH made Cincinnatti Chili dip and lasagna, my older son made and brought hanky panks, my younger son made his yarlsberg cheese dip plus there is pizza,chicken wings,chips,pretzels, submarine sandwiches,beer and god knows what else.
My contribution was a touchdown cake.

I can just imagine the mess I'll be cleaning up after work tomorrow.

Sorry about the ranting.

Don't you dare cut that dear girls hair. It does look as if it could be a problem to comb out.

No, i didn't have to cut it. Or should say, have not yet had to cut it. The screaming finally stopped about an hour ago, and now she is reasonably docilely having it washed out. Such a hassle. i may end up cutting a whack off the end, but i won't chop it ALL off. Tempting though it may be. i took a picture of her smiling angelically a little while ago, i'll post it tomorrow.

i hope your migraine stops coming on and goes away!

Well, i actually typed out a whole answer to you this morning before work, but somehow i closed the window instead of posting it, and now, 12 hours later, i've no idea what on earth i said!

i'm sure i said that i am still sorry you won't be there with us, because while it was planned i was even more excited to see you than to be going to Disney, but i am still really excited about Disney!!!!!

i hope Jess likes the rides too... she is super excited these days. She had her first day of second semester today and it went well. Her teachers are jealous of her upcoming trip and promised to help in any way they could when she gets back to make sure she catches up

She also had some very exciting mail come today, she was accepted to all the programs she applied for at our local college! i am so proud of her and so glad that she is excited about the prospect of continuing with school! She really hopes to get accepted to another college down south, and while i hope for the sake of her self-esteem that she gets accepted, we really can't let her go down there. She is just not responsible enough to live away from home yet. (The saga of her hair last night was an unnecessary reminder). However she got accepted here and is excited so yay!

So last night Jess had one of her semi-annual brushings out of her hair. It's a really long story but anyway, my stepdad had to cut out some of the hair at the back, so it was considerably shorter in some places than others, and i just cut it to match all the way around. She likes it, says it feels nice and light. i braided it up for her last night before i thought to take a picture, so y'all will have to wait and see later. i did get a picture of her with it all combed out and looking like a wild animal sitting on her head, but photobucket is being an incredible pain and not letting me upload at the moment, so you'll have to wait to see that too!

On to other news, Jess' college acceptance wasn't the only exciting thing to happen today: i bought this:

Technically i paid half and my Dad paid half, he just doesn't know it yet : (he's currently in Mexico at a Managers' meeting). He had given me some money "for the trip" and since i'm reasonably confident in the amount of spending money we'll have, i decided this was a worthy investment. So i'm super psyched, the battery has just finished charging and i'm going to go sneak up on Jess and take her picture so it's the first one on the card! Whoot!!!!

my Mum's gonna go apesh*t though.

Jess still doesn't know about the character meals, or if she does, she hasn't let on. She didn't make any comment when i said she had to wear Pooh on the first day and Mickey the second. she just thinks i'm weird.

i have made the regular ones but not the ones from your DISign yet! i still need to get it printed! i was at the Walmart photo place yesterday, trying to print gelly's pictures so we can try to duplicate the poses, and i got so flustered when i couldn't print them (low resolution) that i forgot to print the LGMH you made me! Argh! So today before work (boooo work) i am going to nip into the drug store across the street and print them!
