A first time for everything - day 2

Got up for breakfast in a rush after a sleepless night. (I'm never any good sleeping somewhere different). Managed to get down very bleary eyed to breakfast at 7.30am to find it was dead quiet. I must admit to being very surprised to see garlic puree on the breakfast buffet:sick: Left at 8am and there were massive queues:eek:

We stopped in the foyer for a photo with Pooh bear and then took the stroll round the lake again to the park for EMH. All the rides were walk on with no queues. We headed straight for Fantasyland and went on Dumbo, carousel horses and Pinocchio, then hopped over to Discoveryland for Buzz Lightyear which had a 5 minute queue. The girls loved this ride and we went on it as often as we could during the week as we got quite competitive with the scores:hyper:

I suddenly remembered reading on here something about ropedrop for adventureland and headed over a bit too slow but nevertheless joined the scrum for Big Thunder Mountain. It was quite amusing really all running for the ride with me being the only one of the family knowing what on earth was going on:rotfl2: Anyway there was a huge queue but it turned out to be 30 minutes wait time which isn't too bad as the ride was always very busy and we never went on it again.

After that we wondered aimlessly for a bit. We saw Jess at Woodys Roundup and had a photo with Pluto.

<a href="http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm164/loobymiss/?action=view&current=Meet-Jessie.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm164/loobymiss/Meet-Jessie.jpg" border="0" alt="Jess"></a>

We then went to Phantom Manor but it was closed due to technical problems:(

We then went back to discoveryland and decided to go to "Honey I shrunk the audience" which I loved but my kids didn't! I had my 6 year old on my lap and my 10 year old crying when the cat/tiger thing went right by her face:rolleyes1 After all that trauma I hastily directed the kids back to Buzz (again!)to cheer them up.

We didn't fancy Space Mountain so we went back to see if Phantom Manor was open (it wasn't) so we went on the River boats. They were pleasant and gave us a little break. We then went to the Tarzan show which was absolutely brilliant. If you haven't been it is like an acrobatic/gymnastic show and the kids were transfixed by the acrobatics.:thumbsup2

<a href="http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm164/loobymiss/?action=view&current=Tarzan3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm164/loobymiss/Tarzan3.jpg" border="0" alt="Tarzan show"></a>

We then went and sat on the kerb on main street to wait for the parade so we could actually get a proper look. That was fun and I took the obligatory 100 pictures!!!

Finally we realised Phantom Manor was open and went on that (big mistake number 2) My 10 year old freaked out (again) and didn't like it one bit. I on the other hand wasn't scared at all and found it really corny but fun:lmao:

<a href="http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm164/loobymiss/?action=view&current=CharacterExpress4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm164/loobymiss/CharacterExpress4.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

We then did some shopping, watched the Character Express and then headed to the Buffalo Bills show. By then, however I was absolutely knackered from lack of sleep and really wasn't in the mood so I will try and be objective with my review. Bad point - They told you to arrive 1 hour before the show yet when we got there all we did was stand (no seats) by the bar with sore feet as they obviously were hoping you would buy loads of booze. Food was passable, was expecting the worst after some reviews. The show was fun, but I wouldn't do it again as I found it very expensive. Top tip- book before you go to disney as we saved loads paying in pounds as opposed to euros when we got there.

All in all we packed a lot in our day and the girls enjoyed themselves. Basically it was tiredness on my part that took over. Bear in mind we were up at 7am and didn't get back till 9pm so be prepared - drink lots of coke and coffee!!! lol That night I had no problems getting off to sleep. zzzzzzzzz

Lovely report so far & your girls are gorgeous. Looking forward to reading more. My DD1(6) are scared in Honey I Shrunk the Audience too, but loves Phantom Manor!

Luckily my DD wasn't wearing her glasses for Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and both children were sitting with their knees crossed on the chairs so they were blissfully unaware of the scary things!
Great report.....I've been umming and ahhing about Buffalo Bills show, but that much standing puts me right off - I wouldn't stand in a ride queue for an hour either.

Enjoying your reports, I agree though that the EMH, makes it a very long day. I was so pleased to find last visit that the park was open 8.00 - 10.00 when we were there, but in all honesty, you need to be in athlete like condition to manage 10/12 hours park time, I don't think I could've stood for an hour waiting in BB's after the park either.

Sounds like despite a few hiccups, (it was the cat in HISTA that my DS didn't like as well), you had a nice day. :)

Great report so far with lovely photos:goodvibes

I have to agree with you about Buffalo Bills. They you in the lobby area as long as they can to convince you to buy photos or drinks, they keep it real hot so you will want drinks too. Its only at the last minute that they let you into the arena.

Enjoyed it but would not rush back.

Great report

If you want to go to Buffallo Bills I would just ignore the bit about getting there at 5.30 and turn up any time after about 6ish. You basically queue up with your tickets then you get given a coloured slip which tells you what number and coloured area you are sitting in, then you collect your cowboy hat and wait in the lobby/bar area.

I couldn't see why we had to do all this hanging about:confused:

I can relate to your DD. I absolutely hate Honey I shrunk the audience and have vowed never to go on it again, it was actually quite a challenge to get me onto the 3d movies at WDW and US in the summer, (however I found my own solution :thumbsup2 ). Oddly enough, I actually didn't mind the previous 3d movie, captain eo.

I also wouldn't go on Phantom Manor until I was about 14, and then when I did, found it actually entertaining.

Great photos and superb report!

Your girls are lovely
