A Few Ticket Questions

First a generic question: I know you can upgrade a park ticket to an AP but can a park ticket be upgraded to an AP renewal? I am curious about this.

Next specific questions: My wife and I both have AP's and hers expires this month just before our 7/4 trip. At her Mom's Disney wedding back in November, due to some major snafu's, everyone staying at the BLT Grand Villa (which included us) had a 1 day Ultimate Park Hopper (includes water park) added to our MDE accounts.

Question: In MDE it says I can re-assign my ticket to a "Friend" in MDE. If I re-assign this one day ticket to my daughter who doesn't have a park ticket can it then be upgraded to a 7 day hopper?

Question: Can my wife apply the value of her 1 day ticket to her AP renewal?

1) Yes, if it's a regular ticket. If it's a special comp type, no.

2) Folks on this board have done it, but ticketing CMs aren't trained how to do it. Go to Guest Relations for this transaction. If this ticket is also a comp type, then it has zero cash value.

Why can't Comp Tickets be upgraded?? I don't agree with that. It makes zero sense. What is the point of having a 1 day ticket? Seriously? How many guests go for 1 day? Basically if I am there 7 days, the only way I can use this ticket is to buy a 6 day ticket and use the 1 day on the 7th day? That makes no sense since the 7th day is only like $10 where the first day is over $100.

Comp tickets can't be upgraded because they almost always have a cash value of $0.

Lots of guests go for one day. They all buy tickets from me. (Or at least it feels that way some days.)
