A few things I learned about Sandy Macgowan

Just in case Sandy wanted to get a bad girl image here, I'm going to blow that all to pieces

Did you all know that Sandy is one of the nicest, kindest, most thoughtful, funny and caring people around?

Not to mention...

One of the most TALENTED people I have ever met!!!

I received a package in the mail yesterday from Sandy - she said it was something that might cheer me up. That was an understatement!

It was an absolutely gorgeous print of Main Street U.S.A and in the picture was the most beloved pin man himself - Scoop!

It is incredible! I stared at it forever, in awe of her talent. At first I thought it was a watercolor, but then after talking to her last night we learned that she does this entirely on computer! WOW!

As soon as I get it framed, I'll post a picture of it for you all to see. In the meantime, I just wanted to publically thank (and somewhat embarrass..lol) Sandy for her thoughtfulness and reinforce what we all know here...

This board's main focus is not the objects we have collected but the friends we have collected across the country. And I am so glad to be a part of it.

She does some beautiful work...I have had some of her pieces for about a year...(We Canadians stick together)..In fact when our grandaughter Crystal, was on her way to go to University of Tenn last year...Sandy sent a special (Florida) painting to Crystal to remind her of home...(note to Sandy....she has it hanging in a special place on her wall..and loves it)

If you have a favorite Disney photo, or any picture you would like given the "Sandy " treatment, she can do that to...and it turns out great....she just needs you to email her a copy of the pic.....or something like...just ask her....

I have seen her do some of this stuff, and I was amazed on how it turned out.....

Now look at what's happened... y'all have gone and made me blush... Sorry that it took me all day to be able to respond here, though! I was wrestling with a couple of clients' computers for most of the day today... ugh!

Lauri, you are so very, very welcome... and thank you, too! I'm so very glad that you like the print. It really does mean a lot to me that you enjoyed it. I'm glad, too, that it seems to be spreading a little pixie dust your way! (Just think of it as a little bit of WDW magic... goodness knows, it seemed like there was a little magic involved when I put all the pieces together in creating the image!)

Thanks, too, to everybody else for your kind words - Donna, Nat and Kathie... your feedback is greatly, greatly appreciated! I'd really love to make a living someday doing this stuff. Don't know if it will happen or not, but I plan on giving it my best shot! I just have to keep reminding myself that all I need is a little faith, trust, and pixie dust! Oh, and just to let everyone know... one of the reasons I put that quote from Walt Disney under our picture down there is illustrated in the print I sent Lauri... unlike a lot of the other images on my web site, that one didn't exist in reality... I ended up combining 7 photos together to make the one scene. Yeah, I had to be a little crazy to attempt that!
