We are staying in a 1-bedroom at the BWV in May. This was booked directly though Disney. Two questions...

1. I read something about view categories being different if you book through Disney vs. DVC. We booked a 1-bedroom standard view. What are the possible views that we could get under that category?

2. Also, I was wondering what to expect in the kitchen. Will we find things like salt, pepper, oil, coffee filters? Or should we plan on bringing/buying everything that we will need to cook?

Thanks!

If you booked a cash reservation that wasn't made by DVC Memb er Services, you essentially get a "Run of the House" room assignment, which means they can put you pretty much anywhere. Most will get something overlooking a pool or lawn area.

You'll find most all of the cooking utensils, pots and pans and dishes that you will need, but not the "food" items you mentioned.

Cash reservations at BWV are usually in the DVC equivalent of Pool/garden view so you could have a view of either of the pools, the swan/dolphin and the canal.

The ktichen is stocked with pots/pans/dinnerware. Since you are on cash you will have daily housekeeping so they should replenish the coffee packs which are prepackaged ground coffee in a filter. If you prefer to drink your own coffee you'll also need to bring filters. All other seasoning or things like cooking oil will need to be bought or brought.

As Kathy said (since it's important for people who feel coffee is important), they don't have filters, they have the coffee "filter pods" which are single-use. (I personally think they're more like 1/3 use, but...). You will have to bring both your own coffee and filters if you wish. Last I was there (last summer, BWV pool-view studio), the coffee maker used the "flat bottom" filters (not the "cone" ones).

The filter packs are similar to Maxwell House coffee filter packs. They make 4-6 cups per pack. But if you bring loose grounds, you'll need the flat bottom basket style coffee filters (like for Mr Coffee).
