this post is for all the wifes that have husbands like me who could care less about disney. when my wife told me about the cruise i just rolled my eyes. it was the last place i wanted to be especially during my hunting season. well, after being on the cruise i have to say it was one of the best vacations i have ever had. when we arrived at the port i kept waiting for the problems to start, but they never did. we waited 5 minutes in line to show our birthcertificates and only waited about 25 minutes to board the ship. then for he next three days i had the time of my life. the only problem was not being able to see the sunset or sunrise and a little bit of sea sickness the first day. sunday morning i thought i was going to see the sunrise. i woke to this bright orange light at our window. i jumped up like a kid at christmas hoping to see this beautiful sunrise. i threw open the curtain and saw the bright orange light at the dock and a couple workers waiting outside the port. i was a little let down but still had a great time. we will do it again, but not during hunting season :teeth:
this is the photo of me relaxing at the cay right before DW tried to attack me. it was a fierce fight but i kept her at bay until we got back to the ship :earseek:

this is DW, golfknut and ms golfknut at bingo. DW was only 2 numbers away from winning the $1400 jackpot. i told her if she won she could go that night and book the next cruise. i think i jinxed her

I knew I married that man for some reason....Isn't he just a sweety?:teeth:

Yep -- he's a keeper!!

I was just wondering, was that picture with the background that has the date the picture they took when you boarded the ship?

In the past, there was a sign that you stood by with the date and they took your picture. This looks much nicer.

Glad you had a great trip. Both DH and I (as well as the kids) think the DCL is the best vacation we ever took, and can't wait to return!

westjones - I was wondering the exact same thing! Can someone post and let us know! I love that backgound as compared to the sign of old!

WOW - what a great husband!

My husband would never give up his hunting (which starts Saturday) for a vacation with his wife and family!

Thanks for sharing! I will have to share this with my dh, who is also giving up 10 days of his hunting season to go on our trip. I guess a good thing has come out of his breaking his arm while 4wheeling last weekend... he isn't able to hunt now! So, he isn't dreading our trip as bad!! :teeth:

Maybe one day I will understand about men and this 'hunting thing'...

westjones-Yes, that is the picture they take when you board the ship now. It was my favorite picture taken on the cruise.

disneyfan51-I don't get the whole hunting thing either. I mean how could getting up at 4 am and sitting in a tree all day when it is freezing cold be fun! And I don't know about your dh but mine usually comes home with nothing. Bambi is safe with him in the woods.:hyper:

:rotfl: I agree completely! Personally, I love it when it's really cold when he goes hunting, it makes him want to come home sooner! He drives about 4 hours to his leased hunting land, so he is gone quite a bit during hunting season. I think it is CRAZY :crazy2:, but to each his own. Bambi's pretty safe around him too, I try to hex him each year... :wizard:

Maybe I won't show him your dh's response, or he'll be hitting him up for land to hunt on! He is terrible when he meets someone new, to see if they have any hunting land!

Don't let the photo of miniluvzmickeyshubby in the hammock fool you. He looks all confident and relaxed laying there but actually he is scared stiff and hanging on for dear life. I was there and it wasn't too long before this photo was taken that he was doing the ole "hammock rollover", landing flat on his back in the sand. It must run in the family because it wasn't 5 minutes later that his DW did the same thing, although she did manage to stay in the hammock....LOL

that's because I have all the grace golfknut!!! rofl

disney551--are you sure we aren't married to the same man?
to keep bambi safe-try spraying a little perfume on his camo. works great!

golfknut, thanks for bringing that up i had forgotten about that. dont ever drink straight coke and try to lay in a hammock. that stuff goes straight to your head :teeth:

disfan....it should be rut time up there around your husbands hunting land. let me know if he gets a big buck. tell him there is a big 10 pt ill be bringing home this season. Dw said i could mount him right above the fire place :teeth:

You don't want me to tell him about the 10pt'er, or he'll be knocking on your door tomorrow! He has already said he thinks he can shoot with his left hand, since his right is in a cast! From what your wife has said, I don't know if you'll be bringing Bambi's dad home or not... :scratchin A little perfume goes a looong way!

You should be thankful your dw will even let you bring one home (IF you do kill it!)! My dh can't bring anything that resembles Bambi in our house! He even has to give his deer meat away.::yes::

Have a great season!

Great post MLMhusband!

LOL on all the Hunting comments.....
Women do not understand hunting like men do not understand shopping...

"How can he sit in the cold out in a tree all day????"
"How can she spend half the day at the Mall????"

My sister said "Men hunt wild animals.... Women hunt bargains!!!"

:p :p :p
