The Mickey club is a creche for guests of DLH, although I say creche it is for older children not babies. It is 3 rooms with various activities and games in which has a CM looking after the children, you can either leave them or stay with them. I think it's open 4pm-11pm and you can leave them for a max of 2 hours again working from memory. You have to have book them in, in advance, although we turned up 1 day and they took her as had a space. DD loved it and kept asking to go again.

Do they check the childs age?
My DD is 3 but looks about 4 and i could do with a hours peace lol.
You could go and find aladdin?!
Did you stay in a standard room, or was this Castle Club by any chance?
We stayed at this hotel for one night and received none of the 'extras' you mention, actually we weren't made to feel very welcome at all, it took them over 3 hours to get our luggage to the room.
Yes, they happily brought us a kettle, but this was of little use when your tea/coffee stuff is in your case!
As you can sense, I was not very impressed, especially considering the price we paid! I have sent an email of complaint, and a chaser, twice I have been told that they are looking into the situation, but I've yet to receive a proper response![]()
We stayed at the Castle Club in Feb with our DD and DS but nothing there was no cuddly toy - from what I've read it's very hit or miss if you get anything.
Hi everyone, it has always been an ordinary room we have stayed in and this is our fifth year and we have always received the soft toy standard without any request for sameNow last year we got the 15th anniversary mugs filled with sweets as well. I am assuming the mugs were a one of for the 15th anniversary but who knows. I have to say that my sister also stays in this hotel every year and also receives the roses and soft toys. I am very sorry that a few of you have not received these. If I were you, next time you stay if soft toys are not in the rooms I would mention to staff that you know of people who always received these gifts. I bet they'd be happy to oblige and if not I would like to know the reason why some guests receive 'extras' and some do not!
what an interesting read, I'd love to stay at the DLH but I think for the price I'd like to receive the little extras which have been mentioned. Think I'm going to have to save extra hard !
Wow! Thanks for all the replies! Hope we get all trhe goodies nicola got and if not, I'll be asking why!
aoifesmum, your daughter looks beautiful! I'd love to do this for dd.
Thanks again for the info, I'm just waiting for DH to confirm when he can get away from work, I just hope they don't run out of rooms before we can book!!!
I have stayed in the Disneyland Hotel twice and have never recieved any 'freebies' or 'goodies' and have never expected anything either. I actually don't see why it should be expected, in fact the only reason anyone here actually knows about any extra's being handed out is because they read it here on the boards, I expect that the vast majority of people don't receive anything, it is just random and the vast majority don't complain when they don't get anything as they weren't expecting anything in the first place.
I don't understand why anyone would complain if they didn't have stuff waiting for them in the room, it isn't advertised in any brochures or offered anywhere else so Disney aren't going against any contract made. You know the price when you book and you know what you'll recieve for that price anything extra is just that - extra...a bonus.
Should we not all just be very gratefull that we are able to stay in and enjoy a hotel like the Disneyland Hotel at all? There are lots of people who can't afford it.
I personally stay in this hotel to enjoy the atmosphere, the close proximity to the parks, the decor, the nice restaurants and the views from (most of) the rooms, not to see what extras I'll get. I've stayed in lots of top hotels around the world and if we've received any wee extra's it's a big bonus and not why we book there in the first place.
In response the OP original post - you'll really like the Disneyland Hotel, it just looks georgous and the fact it's so close to the parks is fantastic and I'm sure you'll come away with your own favourite thing.

Thanks Nicola, we can't wait. I feel very lucky to be in the position where we can go to DLP and stay in the DLH eventhough it did take a lot of saving!
I'm glad the Minnie Club is on, my DH and I were going to sneak off for a couple of hours and do Indiana Jones as my DD isn't quite tall enough and she's gutted becasue she loves the films!
As we only visit the Disney Hotel during Christmas I dont know if it is a regular ore special threat .
We always find a soft animal ,roses, cooled water and a big box of special for Disney made chocolates .
Christmas eve when we return to our room Santa brought two Santa stockings filled with sweets.
