Has anybody ever been upgraded to Castle Club?
I'm kinda praying for a miracle lol.

I can't wait either, be the only time i can afford to stay in there lol.
No Minnie club for me as DD is only 3.![]()
Do you mind me asking how much it cost you and for how long in January??? Think I need to treat the wife next year.
For 3 nights 4 days (it was a free night offer)
It cost me £576 for myself and Kyra.
Wow Emma that is CHEAP!!! I don't think I've seen it that cheap ever! Glad you are managing to stay there - it's lovelyWhat dates do you go? We looked at 4th Jan and it was originally £918 and has now gone up to over £1000. We won't be going
But have plans for next Christmas maybe (just before with a bit of luck)!

Do you not normally pay for a room though? That's how I thought it worked right now (as my kids are obv under 7 anyway)...
You did right to jump at it![]()
We could go from the 12-15th for £727.66...not too bad![]()
Although I could get the Santa Fe for £138.57
I have stayed in the Disneyland Hotel twice and have never recieved any 'freebies' or 'goodies' and have never expected anything either. I actually don't see why it should be expected, in fact the only reason anyone here actually knows about any extra's being handed out is because they read it here on the boards, I expect that the vast majority of people don't receive anything, it is just random and the vast majority don't complain when they don't get anything as they weren't expecting anything in the first place.
I don't understand why anyone would complain if they didn't have stuff waiting for them in the room, it isn't advertised in any brochures or offered anywhere else so Disney aren't going against any contract made. You know the price when you book and you know what you'll recieve for that price anything extra is just that - extra...a bonus.
Should we not all just be very gratefull that we are able to stay in and enjoy a hotel like the Disneyland Hotel at all? There are lots of people who can't afford it.
I personally stay in this hotel to enjoy the atmosphere, the close proximity to the parks, the decor, the nice restaurants and the views from (most of) the rooms, not to see what extras I'll get. I've stayed in lots of top hotels around the world and if we've received any wee extra's it's a big bonus and not why we book there in the first place.
In response the OP original post - you'll really like the Disneyland Hotel, it just looks georgous and the fact it's so close to the parks is fantastic and I'm sure you'll come away with your own favourite thing.
I didn't expect any 'freebies' but had read so many reports where people in Castle Club rooms mentioned there being roses and wine in the room that it seemed as if these were standard. Indeed, there one DIS-ers website that has a page about the Castle Club does list them as being standard. Okay, I know they're not listed by Disney, but then they don't always list everything, especially if it is an amenity they might change from time to time.
I did NOT complain. I know what I booked and paid for. If, for example, I'd arrived having paid for a Park View and not received it, then I would've complained. What I did do was ask nicely at the Concierge on our second day, saying what I'd read online, thinking that perhaps it had been overlooked. I didn't like being told by the Concierge that it was only done for those in suites, then he changed his mind and said it was done for other people very rarely. From what I've seen online, I'd guess it's done at least 50% of the time for those in the Castle Club. But I did not complain to the Concierge.
And I did not complain in my letter to the CEO. I simply expressed my disappointment, explaining how I'd come to think we would receive these items. In the same letter I covered several issues, including how lovely the hotel is and praise for the staff.
The price we paid for the DLH was utterly ridiculous when compared to what we could have had for the same money elsewhere. For example, we had 7 nights at Wilderness Lodge in February, including an 8-day park hopper/water parks ticket, for less than £200 more than we paid for 2 nights at the DLH! However, DLH is the only place in the world where you can stay virtually in the Magic Kingdom. We wanted to experience that, so we chose to spend 'silly money' in order to do so.
Whilst I appreciate that not everyone can afford to stay at the DLH, I vehemently object to being told I should be 'grateful'. My DH and I work hard for every penny we have, always have done. (There's a clue in my signature.)
Although I could get the Santa Fe for £138.57 or the Cheyenne for £181.44 and that's for two adults and a baby
how tempting, I think if I had a quote like that I'd definitely be booked up![]()
I really think I need to save very hard to afford DLH, all in all it sounds just magical![]()

p.s we paid just over £700 for 2 adults and 1 child (age 8) for 3 nights 5th-8th jan (one night free offer). We could never have afforded it at any other time of year!
