A&E Stampede this morning was insane!!!

We were ushered in almost immediately, with two or three groups ahead of us in the room, so, maybe ten minutes, total.

I've seen A & E 3 times so far with FP+, and each time haven't had to wait longer than 10 minutes, max.

When I originally checked for FP+ for our May dates, every day was unavailable. Then, miraculously, they opened up. I could have had a FP+ for A&E everyday of our May trip. They are still showing available. So, don't give up and keep checking!

My DD is 3.5 and truly believes that these girls ARE Anna, Elsa, Cinderella, etc. Before our trip in April I explained to her that the line would be very long and we might not be able to see the sisters. She looked me dead in the face and said "it's ok mommy....I can be patient."

THAT is one of the BEST things I have read on the DIS in a long time!!! What a sweet girl! Especially this thread filled with comments of girls that are demanding etc. this is a little girl that knows good things come to those who wait and are patient. Kudos to you mom!

FYI to those hoping for fastpasses soon: I've seen them available for A&E off and on around the 15th-18th.

I snagged them almost a week ago for the 17th for my wife, me, and daughter, then a couple days ago switched them to the 16th (the day we were shooting for MK) when that opened up.

The key is to look for FP+ for one person at a time, and then once you have them booked for your whole party try to get the times to fall within the same general window.

(Obviously this becomes more challenging if you're looking for more than 2-3 people)

For some reason there seemed to be a catch: every time I tried selecting three FP+ including A+E it would always give an error message that wouldn't let it process.

The way I got around it was to select three OTHER attractions, then changed the FP time on one of the three attractions for ONE person (to split up the group), then select "change experience" for that ONE person and choose A+E. That allowed it to work for me, then repeated with the other two people in my party.

Complicated, I know.

And that is a big reason for the four hour waits. I don't see why they haven't been added to the character meal in Norway yet. Seems like a pretty obvious thing to do and would likely increase demand (and revenue stream) for that meal.

On the Disneyland forum, there's a post about the stampede to A&E from a parent whose daughter was hit in the face, knocked down, and got a bloody nose from a man who was running at rope drop. They had to go to first aid to get her taken care of.

My guess is that they do not want to increase demand for the meal THAT much when at this time they have little to no chance of meeting it. That meal may be booked to the rafters every day but there will still be guests clamoring to get in. And the ones that can't get in will complain. I remember the steps Disney took to actually REDUCE demand on CRT and Le Cellier. Raising prices at both, requiring payment in full at CRT. They also added princesses to all the CRT meals eventually.

You may see the Frozen ladies in Akershus later, when the worst of the hype has died down.
