A & E, no FP+ available 60 days out !

We did our FP at midnight at 60 days just a couple weeks ago. Within 10 minutes I noticed A&E was gone for our first day. But it was still available for later in our trip for several more days. Hopefully, I'm not making a mistake in skipping them this trip but we did it last time. Our twins don't remember it but I think they will be fine without.

Last time we did have to split our part of 4 into 2, 1 and 1 to get FP for all of us with overlapping times. Make sure you try that option as well.

I will try this, thanks for the tip!

Right now, if at midnight the Dibb still shows availability for the day I want, I'm struggling with what to do; do I try to book that day first? I keep reading to book your furthest date out first to ensure we get the FP, but if it shows availability for our day 1, I'm not sure if that would be the best strategy?

If you really want it for your first day check that first. Unless it's a very busy time and/or you are going for a very short timeframe the few minutes it takes you to check day one shouldn't mean they will be gone by the time you get to check for availability later in your trip. If nothing shows up day one then jump to the later date to check for A&E before moving on to do your other FPs.

Thanks :) I think this is what I'll do, of course keeping an eye on the Dibb today, if that all of a sudden shows no availability for the day we want, I'll do our last day first. But we're there long enough to where if we don't get it first day, I don't worry about the last day suddenly having no availability.

When I was booking Anna & Elsa I checked our 2nd Magic Kingdom day first bc I already knew our first day was gone and I had other priorities for our other day anyways. Our 2nd day had really weird time frames. Either around dinner times 6-7ish or really late like 8:30PM and later. My youngest who is only 19 months but obsessed with the dynamic duo could not stay up that late and get the full experience of meeting them. I did manage to snag a FP for them on our 3rd day to Magic Kingdom for 3:00PM which is definitely better than nothing. It took my like 15 minutes just to book the day with Anna and Elsa bc I kept trying to get the best time on the best day. I really wanted a morning time but that didn't look like it was possible so we settled for 3:00PM hopefully my little 1 will be awake enough. We are just going to enforce nap time that day so he definitely takes a nap before seeing them.

Yeah, I logged on right at midnight on my 60 days and all were gone already. The only fast pass I really wanted! So crazy!

When my 60 days opened I checked my first day first, and the only time available for A&E was late at night, like after 9pm. I can't count on my 5 year old holding it together that late, so I immediately checked my last day, and the earliest I could get was 1:20pm. I was hoping for earlier, but at least I got it. I've been checking periodically to make it earlier in the day, or a different day, but no luck, so I'm satisfied with what I got.

this blows my mind! we are going during the week after easter and I booked A&E at 5am and was able to play around with the times and days for the rest of that day. I am so sorry :( best of luck to you all

We were at WDW last year for the week of Thanksgiving. At my 60 day window, there was NOTHING for the whole week for A & E (not a shocker). We got to the park about 40 minutes before it opened... went straight to them (at a race walk) and got in line. Waited only 40 minutes and saw them just fine without a FP+. It's possible :) Good luck.

What is the Dibb? How are you guys able to look ahead and see what is available. Please share...sorry if this is a dumb question. We are going in June, and I am trying to decide what our fast passes should be.

The green link in my signature includes a link to the Dibb site, look under availability.

Can I ask why you need 2 different days to do a character greeting? Maybe this is one reason other people can't get even one meet and greet? Maybe WDW should do what they do with ADRs and not allow someone to book more than one FP+ for the same attraction. Just seems a bit selfish to me and I can't understand why someone would need to meet them twice.

Because of the possibility that the first date/time is missed for some reason (an ADR or other reservation runs late, monorail or other transportation breaks down, illness, what have you). Unlike if a ride breaks down and one is able to secure a 'rain check' FP+, I wouldn't expect the same to be done if a character M&G is missed (since they don't really have mechanic issues). We got A+E on two separate days. Assuming we make it to the first FP+ reservation, we'll cancel the other and pick something else (maybe one of the mountains or the HM).

I can't book for another week - and will only be there for 5 days at a busy time. I can see the spots just going away :(. The days leading up to my week are already gone. Maybe Memorial Day was not the best time to try and meet Anna and Elsa.

If you are really wanting to do A&E and can't get a FP+, is it possible to do this scenario: Go check out the line when MSEP or Wishes are going on. We did that in October and it took us less than 30 minutes to see both girls and then go over to see Cinderella and Rapunzel. Just a thought. :)

It's not like building a new roller coaster. Why can't they just find a few more women who look like Anna/Elsa? They should kick Cindy and Rapunzel out of the Fairytale Hall and make it 100% A&E.

We're going over spring break and I know I'll be spending a lot of time in line for these two. Disney should have them in every park so it would lessen the line at MK.

They can't have them in both sides of FTH at the same time, as that would destroy the illusion.

But your point stands. They should at least be available in Epcot and DHS.

I read on the one of the blogs that they are building a new M&G area for them in the Norway Pavillion in Epcot. I'm hoping this new area will include not only the girls but Olaf as well since he is who my DD loves. She'll settle for meeting Elsa and Anna but Olaf is her love so I'm really hoping they add him!

I would suspect when this new area opens it will have a frozen themed backdrop and probably take a lot of the heat away from the MK M&G but that's just conjecture on my part. The real question is- WHEN will they finish it! Probably going to take their sweet time and open it with the new Frozen ride which just sucks that it takes them that long
