A Dream Come True - 2/6/11 4-day Bahama Cruise

We're snowed in here. The snow in front of my house is 40" deep. Jim is trying to clear a path so that maybe the moving men can come tomorrow. We were supposed to move on Monday. Of course, the roads haven't been plowed at all yet. There is a snow plow on my street right now, but he's stuck in a drift at the top of the street.

I really can't wait for this vacation!

The snow plow gave up. We're still snowed in. The funny thing is, we live in a city, not some country or rural area! The city says that all of their equipment is out plowing, but none of my friends anywhere in the city have seen a plow. We live two blocks from the mayor, and even his street hasn't been cleared!:lmao:

I don't like snow, I don't like being cold, I don't like winter, and right now I'm not very thrilled with Monmouth County, New Jersey!

Nice!! Hey, I started college out in that neck of the woods!

My FIL was moaning about the east coast and "all the whining" about the snow that was going on. All i could think was "..." which probably summed it up. They live in a VERY rural part of the country and they do get quite a bit of snow.... but they don't understand the impact it has when the population and buildings are significantly denser. Oh well.

Good luck with your attempt at moving!

I'm currently "stranded" in the airport. We had a 6am CST flight which, by 3am, was delayed to 7:19am. Man, those 3am phone calls suuuuuuuuck. But hey, free wireless!

Send them to Wally, you know how he has that Incontinence problem.;)

Try to class it up there Jamie -
we all come form the nicer part of the trailer park-
we are not use to such uncouth remarks.

That was with class.
I could have said you piss yourself.:confused3

Monmouth University by any chance?

I hope you manage to get your flight!

Jim is on the phone with the moving company right now. It looks like tomorrow will be the day, as long as we don't get any more bad weather here!

Good luck Beth!
Boston is a series of tiny foot paths right now.

Can you two please try to behave in front of the company???? It's bad enough I have no underwear left!

OK, we finally paid someone to plow the street and our driveway (and our neighbors', too!) and now we can actually go outside the house. I actually took a walk. There are places where the snow drifts are over my head. I've lived in New Jersey almost all of my life and I've never seen anything quite like this.

The move is on for Friday. That's good--I can't take off from work that day, so poor Jim has to handle the whole thing. By the time I get home from work, I'll be going to my NEW home! I know it will be a mess, but then I have a three day weekend to get it all organized. Once that's all done, I can start getting ready for the cruise!
