How nice to just be able to "sit" on your vacation. Too often we run around and just tire ourselves out.

The CL offerings look yummy!

How is Wishes viewed from the Poly? Can you hear the music pretty well? It's on my list to do sometime.

I'm sad your report is coming to an end Shelly. I love that you update so often and share so much with us.

We enjoy lots of relaxing time on vacation, as you may have noticed.

Wishes is nice from the Poly. Nothing like it is from MK, but still nice. They did not have the speakers turned up very loud that night, so it was a little hard to hear.

I'm so glad you have enjoyed the TR this far. I'm sad it's coming to an end too.

What an awesome night you all had. I am another one that did not know the EWP ran at times during Wishes. I think if I get the urge bad enough I will push the issue about watching Wishes from the Beach at the Poly. DH hates the crowds in MK before , during and after the fireworks

Your other DS looked like he was shrinking in that oversized robe.

Well the EWP is always at 9pm. So on some nights it is same time as Wishes, but other times when Wishes is later then it is long done before Wishes starts. If your DH hates the Wishes crowds in the park then watching it from the Poly would be great for you guys.

That's DS12 -- always the center of attention and in front of the camera doing something crazy!!

I think that's why it was so funny to see DS10 in that robe, that's so unlike him!

We just may have went to MK the next day....

Wow - the castle looks so tiny compared to the fireworks! I guess you don't realize when you are standing near the castle.

So cool that the water pagent was going by at the same time! I thought it was after Wishes ended.

Looks like a fun evening was had by all!

You are right -- at the park the castle doesn't look that much smaller than the fireworks, but from the Poly it sure does. Weird!

It was a great evening for all of us!!

Oh I do love that Poly beach! Looks like you had a great time that night! I love watching the fireworks from there. The finale looks so good from a distance like that.

Ok, that robe picture is TOO funny! Oh my gosh! Your DS is just drowning in that thing and he has that grin that looks like the cat who caught the canary! I love it!

The Poly beach is wonderful. I could live there!!

What a magical and fun evening y'all had! It reminds me of when we go to the beach on vacation. I absolutely love spending evenings outside on the beach under the moonlight. And that's without seeing fireworks over the castle or the EWP! The kids are obviously having the time of their lives! Great pics of all of y'all.

Your boys are too funny! The pic of your DH and DS10 in the robes made me laugh so much. And the Party King! I bet there's never a dull moment in your house.

So sad that your last day is coming up!

Day 9 – Saturday September 3:


Our last full day at Disney wasn't off to a great start when we found this had been put under the door –


The Envelope of Doom!!

After we got over that initial shock we started to talk about our day and what would be best to do with it..... We had already been to each park twice, other than AK just once. We wanted to take full advantage of the monorail, so it was either MK or Epcot! And should we go this morning or later this evening???

Well we decided on MK!! Surprising, because normally we would choose Epcot over MK. I guess being able to see MK from our resort really put us in a MK mood this trip!

So we got ready and headed to the lounge for a quick breakfast. DH was grumping a bit since he had to hurry through his breakfast, but I told him we had taken this entire trip at a very slow pace and I wanted to get to MK by RD. So we got done and hoped on the monorail and were there just before the opening show!

And with that we were off to Let the Memories Begin!

Since we had already been to MK twice and pretty much done everything we wanted to there, we had no real plan. We were just going to go with the flow today and see where the day took us!

So up Main Street we headed.

And we found ourselves in Tomorrowland! First up was Buzzlightyear.

Then onto the TTA!

I had planned to do Carousel of Progress next since we had not done it since our very first trip in 2005. But, as we were coming to the end of our TTA ride we noticed some very cool characters in Tomorrowland with very short lines!!

So we ran right over!

What a very fun surprise!!

I am so excited- tomorrow we are adding at least one (possibly two) nights on to our Poly vacation. We will no longer be going to Marco Island, as DH's parents who live there are not going to be around. It works for me- more time in WDW!

We managed to make it a great day anyway though.

That dress was so plain and not anywhere close to being my favorite of all the dresses I bought for the trip, that's probably why I was wearing it on the last day. But it ended up to be the most comfortable of all of them!!

We did luck out finding the characters right there, and with very little wait!

Yeah, it was August 26-Sept 4. The fall/Halloween decorations showed up at MK on Aug 30 I think. I was surprised!

We added two nights, the only problem was, the Poly was sold out/not available with our discount code! so, we switched to the BWI! Im not complaining...I love it there, as you know! The whole family can’t wait. We will be at the Poly eventually! We have an ADR at 'Ohana, so we will be doing lots of exploring!
Also, we will be walking over to the BC a bunch so if you need me to check anything out for you, let me know!!
