A Dole Whip in my hand & my toes in the sand: CBR/Poly Split Stay – This Is The Life!

After dinner at Chef Mickey's we walked over to Magic Kingdom. It was a beautiful evening.

When we got there MK was all decorated for Halloween! We were surprised – we had just been there a few days prior and it wasn't decorated and it wasn't even September yet!!

Everything looked very cool!:cool1:

We hadn't been to WDW during Halloween time since our very first trip in 2005, so the decorations were very neat to see!

Our goal was to do a few things that we hadn't done at MK yet on this trip, plus have a few do-overs of our favorites! So we headed to Frontierland first.

Up Next: More MK

Oh that Bakery is insane morning, noon, and night!! :scared1: There's almost always a line out the door.

I did check out the menu at Bell Vue so it is an option on our last morning too now says it is a QS but I am wondering if we can use snack credits there if not our TS credit on last day would be a waste, but lots of time to worry about that later. I would really like to keep the Kouzzina, just not sure how long they will take to serve us since we will need to be back for ME pickup now about 8:30 instead of 9:30 due to the flight time change  @ JB

I had no idea they decorated for Halloween so early, that was a very nice surprise. The pic of you guys in front of the castle came out nice. It did not look like it was too busy at all in MK that evening.

Maybe JB will change the flight time again, to a later time!! :wizard:

It was a nice surprise! And we were really surprised considering it was still August!! :upsidedow

MK was not busy at all that evening. :goodvibes

Good night- reading your TR is NOT helping me right now. I am so badly wanting to be there!:goodvibes

Love the pictures- they were all very good! The one of the boys is really cute!

I love seeing the Halloween and Fall decorations in the MK. They sure are good at getting everything decorated in a fast pace! That happened to us once- but the switched over from Halloween one night with pumpkins and everything- to Christmas the very next morning. It was strange that they could do that in such a short amount of time.:rotfl: I guess they know what they're doing.

I can't wait to find out what you saw next...

Jo - Hiya

It sounds like you need to start planning your next trip ;)

I can't believe they put up those decorations right after we left!! Wow! That is so early. We've never been during Halloween so that would have been nice to see oh well. Maybe next time we go in August we'll go a few days later.
Nice family pics!

Beautiful pictures! Wow, I can't believe they put up the Halloween decorations when it was still AUGUST! That's crazy. Cool that you got to see it again, though! :thumbsup2

I love all of the fall decorations in MK! I love how WDW can transform with decorations so quickly. On this past trip, we walked through the lobby of the GF at about 11PM and there were no decorations up. We went back through the lobby at 8:30 the next morning, and it was transformed into Christmas! It was so beautiful, and I have no idea how they got all of those decorations up so fast- including the tree!!
Looking forward to reading more about MK!

I just LOVE this pic of the castle! It looks like a postcard!

OK, now I will put on my Scrooge cap. Maybe it's because I don't get all hyped for Halloween, but I don't really like how they decorate the parks for Halloween. There, I said it. Flame away! :guilty: ;) Christmas decorations, I'm all for (never been there during the season, but would love to see!), but I don't like decorations for all the other holidays. If I went to DW a lot, and saw it the regular way often, then I guess I would enjoy seeing it decorated for the holidays more. But since we only go every few years (heck, it's been almost 5 years :sad2:) then I want to see plain ole Disney World.

And no, I didn't like the castle looking like a birthday cake, either.

Now that I'm done with that ;), I really like all your pics! That's a great pic of you and your DH, and this time we can even see your cute shoes! :thumbsup2

I love MK all decorated for Halloween. :lovestruc We have been there in the fall the last 2 trips and it just doesn't get old. I am excited to see it for Christmas though sometime soon hopefully!

When you were there in Jan were there still Christmas decorations up? I wonder how quickly they get those ones down. I keep my tree up for at least a week or two into Jan :lmao:

So, I think I remember you saying that you may have a new favorite park after this trip. Have we gotten to that part of the TR yet, or did I miss it. popcorn::

P.S. - Did you see my new ticker?! :cool1: We're staying at the Beach Club after our cruise in May. I am SO excited!

ETA: Booo.... my ticker is a huge red "X", so you wouldn't have seen it. Well. I'm going to the beach club. So, yay! :rotfl:

I know!! I want to go back so bad right now!!! I think maybe it was about this time of year last year when we started to think about/plan our trips that somehow magically overlapped. :confused3:rotfl:

They sure do get WDW decorated super fast!! :faint: I never would have guessed we'd see Halloween stuff on that trip!

Aw, sorry you missed them! :sad2: But yeah, it gives you an excuse to stay a few more days next time!! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

It was kind of weird seeing fall/Halloween stuff when it was 90 degrees! :upsidedow

They must have hundreds of people to work so quickly on that stuff!! It's amazing! :goodvibes

WHAT??? :scared1: So you are saying that when you go you just want to see MK normal??? I guess I get that. I'd say never go from Sept-Dec then!

I know I loved it decorated for Christmas when we went in Nov 2009 and Nov 2010, but I did enjoy seeing MK without those giant wreaths hanging across Main Street this time!!

Nope, there were no decorations up when we went in January. I think they might take them down after the first week of Jan.

Congrats on the BC!!! :cool1: BTW - I can see your ticker!! :thumbsup2 We are thinking about the BC for the next trip......

LOL! I knew I was probably the only one who felt that way. Especially since Halloween was about 2 months away. And I would probably feel differently if I went more often.

I do intend to see the Osborne Lights one of these days!

Could this be a hint about the "fake" trip in the planning? :rotfl:

I love the pretty fall decorations in the MK! So festive! The family picture in front of the castle is really nice. :goodvibes

You definitely need to see the Osborne Lights!! :santa::thumbsup2

I wish!! Unfortunately our fake May trip may be just that -- fake....:sad2: Things aren't looking too good for it working out, but I'll keep trying!!

Will keep my fingers crossed you can make the May trip work

Love the pics at MK Shelly! I saw a special once on the Christmas decorating at MK and they said they work from close until dawn, have tons of people, and it's so super organized that they can do almost all of it in one night. But they have steps so that if they don't do all of it, the next night they do another thing and it never looks like they've left something partially done.

Walk on Jungle Cruise??? I've never seen such a thing!

I'm excited to see the fall/Halloween decor - it's one of the "special" times we have never been.
