A Dole Whip in my hand & my toes in the sand: CBR/Poly Split Stay – This Is The Life!

RNR & TOT = :love::thumbsup2:cloud9::thumbsup2

What a great way to end the evening! I don't blame yall for not wanting to stay for Fantasmic in the heat!

The CBR arcade does look like a good one! Jake would love it!

We love RNR Coaster and ToT. I could ride them over and over again! We skipped Fantasmic too, but it was to ride RNR Coaster a few more times.

My boys love Goombay games too. We were there a few mornings and all the regular games were free. I don't know if they are always free in the morning or if we just got lucky, but they were had a blast!

Your hair looks great for it being so hot and humid. I straighten mine, spray the heck out of it and it still gets curly and frizzy before we get to the bus stop. My dh actually says it makes a boingy sound as it starts to curl!

I know I said this yesterday- I booked a ressie at Garden Grill and they didn't ask for cc#
This morning I booked Cali Grill and they did ask for cc#.
I feel this is just another way for them to make $$$$$ I think it's sad.

I had to give a CC # to book CG way back in April. I think that is one of the WDW restaurants that has always required a CC to hold a ressie. There are a few others like that as well, CRT and Akershus come to mind right off hand.

Great report!!!

Thanks! :goodvibes
Love RNR and TOT!

A night relaxing at the resort is always nice though realistically we are not very good at it.

It was a fun night! :thumbsup2

I think Cali Grill always required a cc for an ADR.

I hope they aren't doing this to make money!! :headache:

Yeah, the thought of sitting in a crowded theater didn't sound all that great to us that night. :rotfl:

CBR's arcade is huge!! I remember when we stayed at OKW once and we walked into the arcade and the kids were like -- what is this, it's so small!!! :scared1::eek::confused::faint:

I would skip Fantasmic for RNRC any day!! :cool1:

Wow next time we are at CBR we will have to try to hit the arcade in the morning! :thumbsup2

Thanks. My hair was surprisingly straight that day. :confused3 It's usually a frizzy mess in the humidity! :scared1: Maybe it was weighed down from so much 'glistening'. :lmao:

I think it is too.

Shelly...heard a little guy (well, prob 6th grade) ordering his lunch this morning and he said "I really want to know if I can have a Mountaid Dew today?!" It was soo cute, and I thought of you because you are the ONLY person I know that loves them as much as you do!!!!!

I think you made the right choice, ending your night early. We did that twice on our last trip because sometimes, hanging out at the resort is more appealing. I'm glad the boys had fun in the arcade. :thumbsup2 Is that chocolate dip with the strawberries? YUM!!!

Gotta have Mtn Dew with lunch!! :thumbsup2

DS10 LOVES Mtn Dew too! But I only let him have it once a week. He usually chooses Sunday before his soccer game - he says it makes him play better.

Yeah, sometimes you just have to know when enough is enough. The evening ended up being fun, can't say it would have been if we had stayed!! :scared1::laughing:

Yep - strawberries and chocolate dip! :thumbsup2 That was actually for me! :rotfl: That was the first time I ever saw that at CBR. They had lots of different dessert choices this time!

Joining in a little late! Looks like you guys are having a great time can't wait to read more:)

Good to know thanks!!
DH usually makes the ressies.

Thanks for the link to new menu at Sci-fi, we are going there in Nov.
It's so nice to hear how relaxed you guys seem to be on your Disney trips, we are pretty much like that too. We know if we don't do it this time, we'll be back next year (one of the best things about DVC)!

Yeah, taking Disney at a slow pace is the way to go. Especially in the heat!!

You're exactly right -- if we don't get to it this time, we'll do it next time!:goodvibes

Day 4 – Monday August 29

This was the only day we did EMH!!! We usually avoid them like the plague, but this was the morning we had planned to go to AK and it happened to be EMH, so we took advantage of it. And when I say we – I mean DS12 and I. Yep, just the 2 of us! :upsidedow DS10 had no interest whatsoever in going to AK. Even though we rarely stay for more than 3-4 hours, he still didn't want to go. DH could care less about AK either, so he volunteered to stay at the resort with him. I'll get to their morning details later......

DS12 and I got up and got ready. We headed out to the bus stop around 8am.

By the time we got there and made that long walk to the entrance it was after 8:30 when we entered the park.

Once was enough for me! But not for DS!! So we went over to the single rider line for him, but it wasn't open. :headache: So he went back through the regular line and only had to wait a few minutes. In the meantime I had called Jodi (JoBird) and we were having a nice long chat!! :hyper2: DS came back after his second ride and said he was going again. :cool1: So Jodi & I kept on chatting! She was telling me how she was getting things ready and packing (she was arriving at WDW on Thursday night) and I was telling her all about our trip so far. And we were talking about how great it was going to be to see each other on Friday!!

After DS got back from his third or fourth ride on EE he said the line was starting to grow and he was done! So we headed to my favorite AK ride – Dinosaur!

Up Next: DH and DS10's morning at CBR

So while DS12 and I were off exploring AK what were DH and DS10 doing??? Well, I'm not exactly sure! I know at some point they went over to the food court at CBR and had some breakfast. DH had one of the adult breakfast platters like he had the day before and DS had french toast. Sorry, no pics....

After breakfast they took a walk around the resort and took some pics.

DS couldn't wait to tell us all about the “giant birds” he and DH had seen that morning!!

After their breakfast and walk I'm pretty sure they went back to the room and played with Lego's until DS12 and I got back!

Up Next: A little surprise at AK....

Great Update! Your DS really loves EE, me the chicken did not ride it and don't ever plan on it either :rotfl: I do like Dinosaur I do not get that so many say they do not like it at all :confused3 Seems going early on EMH day worked out well for you guys.

I had no idea the ducks around WDW were so tame and those birds are huge, with awful big beaks that would scare me from getting too close to them.

Splitting your morning that day was a good idea.

Wondering what the surprise at AK was.

oh my gosh I remember that day!!!!!! :goodvibes And you're right we were definitely talking non stop! Always so much to say, never enough time to say it all.:rotfl2:

Love that pic of DS12 on EE! So cute! I can't believe how empty it looked for that EMH. What a great morning you had!!
I love Dinosaur too but I swear it isn't as loud as it used to be, or maybe I'm losing my hearing.:lmao:

Okay and seriously, that pic of the big ugly red head bird had me laughing hysterically! There I am looking at the ducks saying aww look how cute, he's feeding the ducks, how precious..........
and Ugly Bird pops into the screen like, "Wa'SUP party peeps??? What? You know I'm beautiful!" Bless his little ugly bird heart. He's trying.:scared1:

I'm sure he's a fun time.
In his own ugly way.

:rotfl2:

Great update!! Can't wait for the AK surprise!!!!!:upsidedow

Thanks Sheila! :goodvibes Yes DS sure loves EE!!

I love Dinosaur too! I know most people don't. :confused3 I find it very wild & fun!!:cool1:

Most of the wildlife at WDW is not so "wild". If you sit outside of Casey's Corner in MK the ducks will come up and try to take your fries! :scared1::rotfl:

Keep the updates coming!!!

Will do! :thumbsup2

Wasn't that the morning something happened to your refrigerator?! :scared1:

DS had a blast riding EE while we were talking!!

I think Dinosaur is still as loud, just not as scary when you know what is coming up next!

I know, there DS was feeding the little ducky's (like you're not supposed to :guilty:) and here comes giant bird wanting in on the action!!:rotfl2:

What a fun morning with your oldest ds! I really like having one on one time at the parks with my boys. How geat that he was able to ride several times with no wait! I love Dinosaur too, I think I'm the only one who loves it everyone else can take it or leave it.

How cool that your dh and ds10 were able to get so close to Sandhill Cranes! We have them here, but there is no way you could get that close to them. They are the noisiest things when they are flying, they must think if they aren't as loud as they possibly can be one will get lost.:confused3

It looks like the whole family had a great start to the day!
