A Dole Whip in my hand & my toes in the sand: CBR/Poly Split Stay – This Is The Life!

I  these! I feel like I am right there with you! How cool that you were just strolling down Main Street with Tiana! I wanna do that! And the picture of you and DH needs to be in frame! It's just one of those pics that totally captures the magic! :wizard:

I see DH opted for the backpack over the fanny pack :rotfl:

You got great pictures on PP! :worship: I have never accomplished that!!! Love that ride though! And an almost private showing of Philharmagic... AWESOME! That is my very, very favorite! I can't get enough of that show! :3dglasses

You have so convinced me to get my hiney in gear and get to rope drop at MK!

Thanks!! Glad you liked the update! Yes, definitely get to RD!! It won't feel so great getting out of bed so early on vacation, but you will be so happy you did once you get there! :thumbsup2

Yes, that backpack worked out great for DH. And he was so happy to not have to wear the fanny pack.:rotfl:

It was awesome to have the Philharmagic theater almost to ourselves!:goodvibes
Great update! I'm DISing from work...don't tell anyone!
I love rope drop at MK. We missed it last time we were at WDW because the bus to MK from the BWI took forever to show up! I'm so excited to stay at the GF, since all we have to do is hop on the monorail!
Love that picture of you and DH walking towards the castle! It came out really nice.
Have a good day!:goodvibes

Your secret is safe with me!! :thumbsup2

Glad you enjoyed the update! It will be so nice for you guys to be so close to MK this time! :)

:love::love::love:
Great update!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe Tiana was walking down Main St right next to you guys! I LOVE her!! She is just the sweetest thing- that accent is precious. Belle is going to be totally jealous that you guys did that. I'm sure it wasn't that big of a deal to your boys.:lmao: Can't wait to show her the pics.

Looks like you were off to a great day at MK!!! :cloud9::cloud9:

Thanks!! :goodvibes

I know, we were walking down main street and here comes Tiana strolling by us. DS12 actually spotted her and told me. He knew I'd want to get a pic! They didn't really care about seeing her, but they sure thought it was funny that she was right there beside us!

It was a great morning at MK!! ::yes::

We always do PP first too!!! I think it's b/c it's the only ride we do in FL. Except this trip I made the boys do IASW for the first time since 2005 I think. They were so mad at me but they lived lol. I told them they don't have to do it again. But after that we always head over to BTMR and Splash for a ride and FP.
What a great spot you had for opening show. Was the date the 21st? If so we were in MK too! but it was our arrival day so we probably didn't get to the park until around 11 am that day
Great update!
Deb :)

Loving your report. You are such a brave soul going in August. The boys are getting so big. Your older son reminds me of my 11 yr old DGS. Can't wait for the rest of your TR

I'm Dis'ing from work too, so I can't see the pictures  but I am imagining how awesome everything looks. :cloud9:

I love love love LOVE the MK opening show.
:cloud9::lovestruc:cloud9::lovestruc

I tear up every time.

And I agree about getting to RD at the parks. :thumbsup2 It's annoying getting up early, but it is SO worth it when you are strolling out of there past the people that are waiting in those ridiculous lines and melting in the heat later in the day

I'll be at the pool, or watching Stacey and napping at that time of day. :goodvibes

Love the MK update! Can not wait to see and read more about your day. The pics of you guys walking down Main St. are fabulous, especially the one of you and DH.
Philharmagic is something that has been added since last time I really toured all of MK in '97, have to make sure I put it on my list of "to do's", in 2006 I only did Main St.

I LOVE rope drop! I don't mind getting up early normally and I'm a big fan of little to no lines! I cannot believe how empty the park looked and you were there in the summer! Very cool. I think it's so neat how you and your dh still hold hands Shelly. That warms my heart. :goodvibes

IDK why we always do PP first. I guess it's just what we did on the first trip and it has remained tradition! Well that and the fact that if you don't get there right away the line gets huge fast! :upsidedow

That date was actually Saturday August 27th. I was worried it would be busy because it was the weekend, but it wasn't! :goodvibes

Welcome Judy! :)

We were brave going in August! But it really wasn't that bad. We survived the heat and the crowds were low!!

Yep - the boys are getting so big.

Stupid work and no pics!! :headache: I hope you are able to see them sometime!

I know, my family all complain when I make them get up early for RD, but you sure don't hear them complaining when the lines are empty! :rotfl:

PS -- DH wants to go to that popcorn store in the city!!!

Thanks Sheila! :)

Yes, you must see Philharmagic!! It is the most awesome 3-D show ever! :lovestruc

We are big fans of no lines, but not so much of getting up early on vacation! :rotfl:

MK was so empty that day. It was great! :goodvibes

Well DH & I don't normally walk around here holding hands, but there's something about being at Disney!! :lovestruc

How fun to be walking down Main Street and have Tiana casually pass you by. :wizard:

That picture of you and your husband holding hand is precious. :lovestruc I love when couples with kids hold hands and remember that they are still a couple. :goodvibes

Oh yeah I remember you were getting there around the time we were gonna be leaving. I still think we were at MK that day too, b/c we THOUGHT we were leaving Sunday (thanks again Irene) and we always spend our last day in MK.
Deb :)

Yep, it seems that on vacation is when we get to relax and remember that we are still a couple! And DS12 is always there to capture the special moments (he loves to take pics of everything like I do!!). :goodvibes

Keep looking then -- maybe you'll see yourself in one of my pics! :thumbsup2

I will keep my eyes peeled :thumbsup2 that would be the funniest thing. I know it's happened to other people.

Love the MK update, Shelly! I don't think we ever missed a rope drop on our last trip - which was great for the lines and crowds, but too much for 6 or 7 days. I wish I had known then how it's possible to do Disney without killing yourself! I love PP too, and we try to do it one of the first things as well. And I agree that Philharmagic is awesome! How weird to be on any attraction at Disney that isn't packed! I don't think I have ever experienced that.

The pic of you and your DH walkind down Main Street is adorable!

Thanks Teri! :goodvibes We usually do RD about half of our days and sleep in a little the rest of them. RD at MK is a must though if you want to do all the Fantasyland stuff before the lines get huge! It was very cool seeing the Philharmagic theater practically empty. We thought we were pretty special!! :rotfl:

I love your MK morning! That walk up main street and 2 fabulous rides?! What more could you ask for!?

After Philharmagic we headed to Tomorrowland. Lots of construction to be seen along the way. And no more Mickey's Toontown. :sad2:

DS12 and I split up from DS9 & DH. They headed to Buzzlightyear and we headed to Space Mtn.

We had a great ride and then DS went back through again while I waited in the store after the ride. I'm sorry to say that I can only handle these rides 1 time anymore. :guilty:

After he was done we met back up with the rest of the family and we all rode Buzzlightyear, with no wait. :cool1:

Up Next: Crystal Palace breakfast :tigger:

Wow, it looks like a great morning in MK!:goodvibes
You got on a lot in a short period of time! Looking forward to reading about your Crystal Palace breakfast...I have been trying to snag a breakfast ADR for our November trip, but no such luck!

Dear Shelly, my wealth of information ;) do you know what all the construction going on is going to result in? Any new attractions that you know of? It seems like it has been going on for so long!

The guy in the picture behind you made me :lmao: I wonder where that guy is right now. OK, I always wonder weird stuff like that.

It really looks like the crowds were not big at all! Unless it was the calm before the storm. But I hope not! :goodvibes

Hope you have a great weekend!

P.S. to Jodi: Go Gators! Destroy the Tide, pleeeaasseee!

I can't remember what it will be called, but there is going to be a whole new area of the park! Beast's Castle, The Dwarves Cottage from Snow White and more!! I'm excited for the changes. Just another reason to go back in a few years! :thumbsup2
