Trying to get caught up over here. I've been a little preoccupied with life lately.

Too bad about VN. I was thinking about eating there next month, but maybe we'll skip that. The tiramisu looked great though, but I can get that at the Olive Garden.

I am so ready to try out that caramel shop though. What is your favorite thing you have gotten in there?

Totally taking over her thread! LOL...we got a piece of the Chocolate Caramel fudge--holy cow, it would melt in your mouth!!! Sooo good...also, we got a caramel covered Apple--i have never had anything that good--you HAVE to get one!!! I think I will get the popcorn bags to bring home next time--kinda drag out the magic!!!! We got other types of fudge there, but the plain chocolate one was our favorite. But that apple.....man, when we got home my two younger kids kept asking about it. It was, in fact, one of the favorite things about that entire trip!!!!

Hmm.....there are A LOT of good things in that shop!! Probably the best is the chocolate & caramel covered strawberry. A total rip off at $4 each, but SO GOOD!! The chocolate & caramel covered pretzels are very good too.

We got the freshly made caramel-corn this time, but it tasted stale to us. Make sure to get the prepackaged bags of caramel/choc popcorn to take home! We just finished our last bag last night.

Good morning! As promised, an update today!! This is the rest of our first day --


After our trip around World Showcase we decided it was time to head back to Future World. So we headed over to see Nemo!

After a fun little ride we messed around inside the building for awhile.

And then it was time to get a drink from Club Cool. DS9 loves this place!

I tricked DH and DS12 into trying the Beverly!!

Next up was Mouse Gear. I just love that store! But I don't think I bought anything there this trip.

DS12 got this Vinylmation on clearance (because it says 2011) for $6!

By this time we were all getting pretty tired since we had been up since 4:30am (well 3:30 for me!), but the kids wanted to do one more ride before heading back to CBR for the night.

So Spaceship Earth it was!

After that we went back to CBR and we must not have done much of anything the rest of the night because I have no more pics of that day!! We must have been really tired!

Wow you must have been pooped to not take anymore pictures! But I have been there and know how that camera can feel like lifting a concrete block at the end of a long vacation day. So we'll let it slide............ this time.

SE is a great ride when you want to chill out. Nice choice. The starry sky part would be a great place for a nap!

Congrats to DS for being a thrifty shopper! You are teaching those boys right!

MK rope drop...... what's that? I may never see it for myself, so I'm looking forward to seeing it through you.

If we had kept our original September dates for our trip, we would be there right now. Am I sorry we're not? NO not at all I just read where on Sunday 9/25(the day we would have arrived) between the temp and humidity it was equal to being 114 degrees, it was discribed as walking out into a wall of heat

I remember your DS12 telling me that he'd tasted the Beverly! His face says it ALL. So glad you got the pics of it. So funny.

I can't believe this- but I never even stepped foot into Mouse Gear this trip!! Must be why I never bought anything. I love that store. Great find on the 2011 Vinylmation!!

Spaceship Earth was a great ending to a great first day!!
You texted me that night and told me you guys were beat and were back at CBR, going to bed. I was surprised you got so much accomplished, since you had been up for so long.

Shawna you guys sure had a terrible summer with the heat and no rain this year. I hope you get your cooler temps!

I can not tolerate the high temps and humidity like when I was youngers, what with my asthma and copd, I would have been spending a lot of time in our room with the a/c I am sure had we been there this week. I had even begun to worry some about Oct so all in all March is going to be a better fit weatherwise.

It seems like we always hit SE when I am extremely tired. I remember leaning my head on DH's shoulder and closing my eyes!

Isn't Mouse Gear at great store? I can't believe you didn't get in there this time! I just love walking around in there!!

I might have to rely on all our texts to fill in my blanks here!! I never take notes on the trip (other than bus ride times), I just rely on my pics/memories to tell the story!

Wow it's still HOT in your parts! But it's better than here - later this week our highs are only going to be in the 50's.

Thanks! The necklace wasn't very expensive - just under $30 I think. I was expecting to pay closer to $50. I am very happy with it!

DS12 spit the Beverly drink back into the cup and was very dramatic about how gross it was!!

You are probably wondering if I've ever even been to Disney or if I just like to hang out on the Dis. So what does the Beverly taste like? Is it supposed to be gross? Or maybe it's indescribable. The looks on your boys' faces is too cute!

We are still having crazy heat down here, too. Highs in the 90's. In fact, today I decided to stay home all day and go for my walk in the evening. I'm not disciplined like Jodi to get out before 7:00 a.m. and it's just too dang hot by 10:00! But I think and hope we're getting that cold front that you are, Shawna. Sunday is supposed to be great. October, I love you!!!

The kids and I adore Club Cool. It's so much fun to pull the Beverly trick! Spaceship Earth is a good way to end an Epcot day I think. I love the way they impose your faces onto the computer. Did you email those home?

Thanks Teri! I'd have to say it was one of our most successful arrival days ever! Not sure what we were going on -- adrenalin I guess!!

Sadly we couldn't get our videos to come up on the computer after the ride. The computers were working very slow and it was crowded and by the time we got to the screen we couldn't find either of our videos.

Okay....need help here. Can someone explain to me the vinlymation?? Is there a point other than trading? Is it like pins? I keep hearing about it, but don't truely get it.
