EDIT: So I realized I never properly introduced ourselves the real Disboards way! I think I just got really excited and wanted to dive right in! This is also the same excuse I am using for my lack of a chapters post. New stuff will be in PINK! And today I am feeling less shy and will post some pictures! YAY PICTURES!

HELLO!! :wave2:

This is my first ever PTR! I have started this in hopes to better plan our honeymoon trip, which is coming up VERY soon! ONE WEEK! EEEEEP! :upsidedow

I'm "Elle" & hubs is "B". (I am shy, and may post face pictures. I just haven't decided yet!) We have both grown up on Disney and took our first trip together 2 years ago this May! B really likes Disney but just isn't as Disney obsessed as I am (he LOVES Universal, less strollers & planning, etc), so it took a little convincing and compromise BUT WE'RE GOING and we are both so excited! :cool1:

THE DAY B PROPOSED! HE DID IT IN THE HOGWARTS CASTLE :lovestruc

PRINCESS "ELLE"
FAVORITE PARK: MAGIC KINGDOM
FAVORITE RIDE: SPACE MOUNTAIN & THE PEOPLE MOVER!
FAVORITE MOVIE: TANGLED! ALSO ENJOY FROZEN & LITTLE MERMAID
FAVORITE PRINCESS: RAPUNZEL!

B
FAVORITE PARK: MAGIC KINDOGM
FAVORITE RIDE: SPACE, SPLASH & POTC
FAVORITE MOVIE: ANYTHING MARVEL OR POTC. ALSO ENJOYS BOLT!
FAVORITE CHARACTER: PLUTO & GOOFY

We are in our mid 20's and finally made it official after almost 7 years! We were married earlier this month and decided to wait until after Easter to go in order to avoid all the craziness. I AM SO GLAD WE DID. I seriously could not imagine hopping on plane the day or so after and feeling like everything is ready to go. No. Way. I definitely needed these extra weeks to finalize ADRs, plans, and start packing. Not to mention since we did a lot of the wedding ourselves, going through boxes and boxes of vases, candle holders, linens, etc., would really be awful after coming home from Disney!

My new husband and I will arriving Friday, April 25th and our last day will be Thursday, May 1st. From May 2nd-6th we will be at Universal.

We are staying at Coronado which I am super excited about! It was between there or PORFQ, and Coronado won because it was a tad cheaper and I really liked the rooms. Since it is our honeymoon I wanted a really nice looking room that could also be romantic.

My dream resort is the Yacht Club, but it was either that or we cut out Universal and that was just not an option. We'll be in the parks most of the time anyway and I'll make it to Yacht Club eventually, just not this trip!

We are NOT on the DDP. I really wanted to try it since I've never been on it before and I loved the idea of prepaying and not having to worry about prices, but after going through menus and even trying to pick the most expensive things we STILL were way overpaying. Me and B are not big eaters and can split meals and usually skip breakfast anyway. We also don't order apps and will rarely order dessert or a soda. See? DDP is just not for us. However, we still made plenty of ADRs and plan on trying quite a few table service restaurants!

We have yet to pick out our FP+ selections (because I need to get our tickets! Hopefully I'll have those tomorrow!) And you should see an ADR post and our daily schedule hopefully tonight!

Thanks for joining and please feel free to offer up suggestions, tips, or to just say hi!

Congratulations! Hubby and I went to WDW for our 1 year anniversary so I have a warm place in my heart for other Disney couples ;) I couldn't wait to have kids and go back and since we've had children we've been back about every 2 years (this keeps getting shorter and shorter!). Anyway, enjoy your planning and looking forward to hearing more :)

Yay, welcome!!

I definitely plan on bringing my future kids to Disney as much as I can! I am so happy my parents did! I have friends who just don't understand my obsession because they never went as kids. I feel SO bad for them! :( It's also amazing how Disney people find each other and just get it. I had met a girl at work and we instantly bonded over Disney. We ended up getting so close that she is one of my very best friends and a bridesmaid! THANK YOU DISNEY!!! :goodvibes

HELLOOO!!

I know I promised a post, but life got in the way! I work retail and my schedule can be so crazy! Anyway, onto the fun stuff!

Today after work I FINALLY got our Disney tickets!!! :woohoo: We had about $650 in gift cards we received as wedding gifts! The lady helping me was extremely helpful and patient! She kept saying she was so excited for us and was giving me lots of tips and everything she said I already knew (THANKS DISBOARDS!), so I feel pretty prepared! The only thing that kind of stinks is since we waited so long to get tickets we miss out on getting FP+ for Anna & Elsa. I am hoping if we can make it to rope drop for a morning EMH we may have a chance!

Speaking of FP+, as soon as I got home I immediately got online to link our tickets so I could make the selections. I was able to get everything else at a decent time. I just really don't like this system! I am going to try to make the best of it, but ugh, not excited.

DINING RESERVATIONS

FRIDAY, APRIL 25

None.

We may head to DTD for some Wolfgang Puck Express or try Pepper Market. We get in around 8:30 and proabaly would be in the hotel around 9:30-10? We will most likely end up staying in, eating snacks in the room, and getting to bed early for rope drop!!

SATURDAY, APRIL 26

Be Our Guest FP, Lunch

SO EXCITED! I'm watching Beauty & The Beast now which is getting me pumped! I also have another BOG ressie, but it's for the last day and I didn't think I would be able to wait, and now I don't have to!

'Ohana, Dinner

When I initially made dining ressies this was supposed to be our arrival day. Our plan was to land around 3ish, get settled, explore DTD, eat dinner here, and watch wishes on the beach. Since we are coming early (DARN! :lmao:) and apparently now only hotel guests can watch from the beach, we will probably be canceling this. Any recommendations for an inexpensive substitute? Maybe Whispering Canyon Cafe?

SUNDAY, APRIL 27

Cinderella's Royal Table, Late Breakfast

I haven't been here since I was maybe 7? 8? Can't. Wait. Paying the $116 for BREAKFAST was a little hard to swallow, so hopefully it's worth it. I know the food probably won't be amazing, and it's supposed to all about the experience (going in the castle, hello!!) but since it's a special occasion I think it'll be worth it. The breakfast menu looked the most "Elle friendly" and it's a bit cheaper. We usually aren't breakfast people but if we manage to get to bed at a decent hour and make rope drop we'll be ready to eat!! Next time we go will probably be our future daughter's princess birthday or an anniversary trip, so might as well! :cutie:

I think this is the day where we have EMH until 1 am! Since we'd like to do rope drop and stay late we will definitely be taking a break! Naps are not only great for children, but for husbands as well! :rotfl2:

For dinner we will probably do Casey's. It's kind of a delicious tradition. And it's cheap! YUM!

MONDAY, APRIL 28

50's Prime Time, Dinner

I haven't been to this one before! B has and says it's not his favorite, although he said when he went he was pretty young and just didn't get it. I have read SO many great trip reports that highly recommended it. I hope we get picked on! ;)

TUESDAY, APRIL 29

Akershus, Breakfast

I am considering cancelling this one, too. I don't need both Akershus AND Cinderella's RT. If we were seeing completely different characters I would probably keep it, but we aren't, so... yep. :rotfl: Besides, I kind of forgot about Animal Kingdom when I made all these ressies. If I cancel this one then we can do AK this morning/afternoon.

Beaches & Cream, early dinner

I booked this after contemplating canceling Akershus. If we do AK and get Pizzafari around 11/12ish this should work. I am leaving the rest of the night to do whatever we feel like. Maybe Epcot?

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30

Sci-Fi Drive In, Lunch

B's fave. His only request and must do. Whatever makes him happy makes me happy! We did this one on our first trip together, so there's some sentimental lovey stuff going on with this one.

Via Napoli, Dinner

Another one that comes highly recommended from trip reports! I like the idea of getting a big pizza to split. I'm all for inexpensive, delicious dinner! I also really want to try the Zepoli!

THURSDAY, MAY 1

Our last day, :sad1:

Kona Cafe, breakfast

Remember that time I said we weren't breakfast people and then I made 3 big ADRs that were for breakfast? HAHAHA, me neither. :rolleyes1

Backstory, I REALLY WANT TO TRY TONGA TOAST. SO BAD.

I know I can go to Captain Cook's (Cast Cove for right now, right?) and get it but it's different. Is it worth spending $13, +B's meal, +drinks, +tip rather than $6? And plus the extra time? This is my other possible cancellation. If we were leaving in the morning and didn't have our last park day available I would be more inclined to keep it, but this is my last day in Disney World for who knows how long AND EVERY MINUTE COUNTS!

Basically,

Be Our Guest, Dinner

I GOT BOG! I was so happy! I am looking forward to experiencing both lunch and dinner. I also can't wait to try the Grey Stuff, I hear it's delicious!

OTHER DELICIOUS THINGS I MUST TRY

Strawberry Shortcake from Sunshine Seasons
Strawberry Mickey Waffles from Roaring Fork
Strawberry Cupcake from Boardwalk Bakery
Lemonade with Wildberry Foam
Violet Lemonade
LeFrou's Brew
And of course, MICKEY BARS!

In case you didn't notice, I have a thing for Strawberries. My brides cake was Strawberries & Cream ;) YUM!

Side note, I am now watching Peter Pan and all I can think of is season 2 of Once Upon A Time and how amazing it is. I absolutely love what they did with it! HOOK=

Okay, I think that is good for now! More details to come!

HAPPY EASTER!

I never got to go as a kid but my husband did and he LOVED IT. When we were dating he told me he wanted to bring me someday and so he did :) I'm in the same boat with being a bit of a Disney fanatic and none of my friends getting it. They especially think I'm nuts for bringing my kids when they're so little. DD was 23 months when we brought her the first time and DS was only 18 months! We just love it though

If you decide to cancel and get a ADR for AK I'd recommend Tusker house for that time slot. We did an early lunch there last time we went and we got the breakfast and lunch menu items while we were there. The food was really good and having breakfast food followed by lunch food was awesome :woohoo:

Sounds like something I would do! We also decided to bring one of our moms so we can go on thrill rides!! :rotfl: Way pre planning over here! And if they're under two, they're free right? Makes sense to me!

:woohoo:I GOT AN ANNA & ELSA FP+ FOR MY PRINCESS DAY!!!!:woohoo:

:yay: ALSO, 3 MORE DAYS UNTIL DISNEY! :yay:

I wen't to bed last night around 10:30 and thought, "You know, I should just check. Just to see. Maybe someone insane cancelled this. Or maybe since we're getting closer they released a few more slots." SO HAPPY I CHECKED! I almost threw up with excitement! :rotfl:

I was SO worried we'd have to wait until a morning EMH day! AND NOW WE DON'T! Which also means, I have more time to decide if I want to keep my Kona ressie. DECISIONS!

I can't wait because now our second day, the princess day, starts off with meeting my favorite princess ever, Rapunzel! Then Cinderella, then meeting Cinderella again for breakfast at CRT and then right after that meeting Anna & my other fave, Elsa!

While on the Dinsey mobile app, I tweaked a few more of our FP+ ressies and I am STILL working on them.
I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO IN 5 DAYS RIGHT NOW!!:headache:

I am also looking into some quick service places to eat and delicious snacks. For instance, I had NO idea there was small place in AK that has loose leaf hot tea from Asia & Africa! Definitely putting that on the must do list when I can remember/find the name again!

Update hopefully tonight! Thanks for reading!

Your trip sounds so fun! I love other couples who enjoy Disney crazy amounts, like my fiance and I. We got engaged in Disney on our last vacation, and are honeymooning this September. In the meantime, I am subscribing so I can live vicariously through your vacation:wave2:

Hi there! WELCOME! Disney couples are the best! I wish there were more in my life! September is such a wonderful time, it will be perfect! I hope you start a PTR or do a Trip Report so when my vacation is over I can live through yours!!!

Congratulations on the marriage!!

Love your plans!!!!

My DH and I got engaged at Disney too so we are definitely a Disney couple! :) I have a TR going on too, if you want to check it out.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3207813&highlight=58+tantrums

I totally hear you about bringing kids to Disney! Our oldest will be 6 in July and will be going for the 4th time come June and our youngest is 2 and will be going for the 3rd time!

I hear you on the Anna and Elsa FP. My boys love Frozen but when I first booked my FP, it wasn't an option.. I checked again yesterday and low and behold it is there. I dont know if I should cancel Haunted Mansion and just do standby... I have never been during the summer so I dont know what the line for that normally is and just wave to Anna and Elsa during the parade... I am actually having them Olaf shirts made for our day...

Followed your link from your post in my PTR. Congratulations on your marriage and I am SO excited for you that you leave SO SOON! :cheer2:

It sounds like we have quite a few plans in common, at least as far as dining reservations go. I do think I'm going to cancel BOG dinner since it's so late, and it looks like no lunches are available on that site (thanks for the link).

Also, I had heard that the no more Wishes viewing from the Poly was potentially coming...is that official now? Terrible!

Hello & WELCOME!!!!

Thank you! We are so excited! I will definitely check out your report, it looks so fun! I wish my parents would have been able to take us more as kids, but we kept them super busy with all three of us girls in dance, which is also very pricey! I can't complain though. I consider myself lucky they were able to take us twice! This will be my fourth time and I am so excited I could cry! :rotfl:

If I were you, and if you and your boys enjoy Frozen that much, I would definitely go for the Anna & Elsa Fastpass! I've been hearing that the lines have been about 3+ hours!! Haunted Mansion has that interactive queue which might keep them entertained. Besides, you can always drop A&E for Haunted Mansion later, but A&E will probably be hard to find!

Olaf shirts! HOW CUTE!! Will you be posting pictures in your TR?! I hope so!

Hi! WELCOME!!!

I'm so glad you found it helpful but I am SO SAD there isn't anything available! Keep trying! And there is always standby. It isn't a terribly busy time of year, so hopefully you will have some luck!

I heard that too, so I cancelled our ADR for 'Ohana. It was supposed to be our arrival day and now that we are going a day early it wouldn't work anyway. From what I hear they have put up a fence and the beach viewing area is for resort guests only! SO SAD! :sad2: I hoped this was false info, but I have read it from a couple different posts. I thought about doing California Grill and watching from the deck but it's a bit pricey and we'll be getting in late. I guess we'll have to plan another trip! ;)

Yeah, I am definitely pondering Anna and Elsa.. I hope we won't be the only boys in the line.. LOL...

I will definitely post the shirts in my new TR.. The link I sent you was our TR from this past October but I will most likely do one for our trip in June.. It'[s just a little quick weekend trip but when you love Disney, you take what you can get, huh? :)

And I have barely started packing. Or cleaning. I hate that feeling that I forgot something so I am going focus on my packing list right now. I also hate coming home from vacation and the house isn't clean. :crazy2: So, since I have people staying here while we are gone, I should probably get on that too!

-Elle&B

Sounds lovely to me!! I am so jealous as I will be stuck here at work...
I totally understand the need to clean the house befoer you go on vacation.. You already have enough stuff to unpack and clothes to clean as it is... No need to make it worse with a dirty house.. MY DH thinks I am crazy to do that but that's just me :)

Have a magical time, take lots of pics! Do you facebook? Maybe I can live vicariously through you!!

Exactly! Although my husband is the neat freak, and I believe that houses are to be lived in, not treated like a museum! :rotfl: One thing I hate doing though is cleaning after vacation. I get so depressed when I have to get back to real life that I just don't do anything but look at vacation pictures and cuddle with my cat, haha!! :rotfl2: I think after being gone for almost 2 weeks I will be a little happy to go home. I'll miss my kitty!

I do have facebook, although I don't post much. I have family all over the place and really only have it because of them. However, I use Instagram and am thinking about actually using my Twitter. I will be posting lots of Disney pictures through Instagram. My name is the same as my name here, lmichelleee. I have already started posting pictures!!! :yay:
