Thank you! I'm really pleased with how the summer went. Nathaniel got a GREAT teacher for 3rd grade (and Jessica got a GREAT one for 1st) so we're really optimistic about the upcoming school year.

I've somehow misplaced my little piece of paper with the information about which park we're going to visit which day. I *think* my plan was to go to AK on Wednesday, back to DHS on Thursday, and MK Friday but I'm not really sure. I may have left my cheat sheet on my desk at work. Or maybe it's just lost. It's all good!
Wednesday night we're eating with the Princesses in Norway. Tom is very excited for this dinner. And Zachary keeps asking if Ariel will be there.
Thursday we're eating at Bluezoo. I think it's one of the better restaurants on Disney property. My kids - especially the older 2 - like fish. Jessica ate ALL of my mom's Mahi Mahi the last time we ate there.
Friday is our traditional LAST NIGHT dinner at Garden Grill. We've always had a good time at this particular meal and I'm excited to go back!

So much to do between now and Saturday! I desperately need a hair cut. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have time. And I need to figure out carry-on bags.

I can't believe there is only like one full week before school starts! and I don't have a job yet UGH!!! I've had 2 rejections in the last week- this is literally killing me. Still waiting to hear on 2 more. Just applied to a couple more so hoping to get a couple more interviews by next week. It is totally insane!!!!
I really NEED a vacation b/c this summer has not been fun.

I'm so sorry that you're having such a hard time. I've said it before but it's hard to communicate how horrifying and stressful the school year was for us last year. So you have my complete understanding and sympathy (I know your stress is different but I get it, really.).

Well tomorrow is really D Day but I'm done with work and OFFICIALLY on vacation!!!
I will try to update from the trip, especially since the DIS app makes it easier. Don't promise to post pics because I haven't figured out how to do that from my iPad.
I've had several horrifyingly busy weeks at work. My old "partner" was terminated by the hospital (with reason - he wasn't working as many days per month as his contract stated) and stopped speaking to me in January. He was given 6 months notice so it was 6 months of having a partner who wouldn't talk to me. Plus, since he was leaving I was given ALL of the new patients. My office hours have been insanely overbooked. In the meantime we hired 2 new people who both started in mid-July. The credentialing process is insane (as it should be - you only want competent doctors at your hospital!) and they didn't start seeing patients until almost August. One is almost 9 months pregnant and the other (my new division chief) is proving to be a bit...particular (which doesn't affect me that much since I'm pretty established). I was told that my overbooked office hours would be lightened but that hasn't happened yet. So I had 53 patients show up on Tuesday (my new junior partner saw 8 of them for me - thank goodness she's a sweetheart!) and my new division chief saw about 25 patients on Wednesday. Hmmm. So lots of stress. And my nurse practitioner is butting heads with the new boss and is miserable. Etc. Suffice it to say that I earned this vacation!
And that, my friends, is why my June trip report is still unfinished and I'm behind on my trip planning.
Let's fast forward to now.
My boarding passes are printed. My bags are (mostly) packed. I just finished my run. I'm about to open a nice, well-deserved alcoholic beverage. My work email has auto-reply set. My important papers for the trip are in my carry-on (as opposed to leaving the cruise documents at home ).
Tomorrow my nanny will arrive around 8:30am to take us to our local airport. We will likely buy some bagels/cream cheese for the road. Our flight departs at 10:30am. We will arrive at MCO, get our bags, and pick up our rental car. My plan is to stop for lunch on the way to the grocery store and then find a Publix. We'll check into the Wyndham Bonnet Creek and hopefully get into our room. I need some time to unpack and put away groceries. Dinner is at 6:30pm at Benihana.
Weather looks ok. We may get hit with extra rain from Isaac (tropical storm? Hurricane? I stopped paying attention) but I bought extra rain poncho.

Of course! We'll have a Maclaren stroller with a "stroller as wheelchair" tag and then a double stroller that we're renting from an off-site company. I usually have green Mickey ears on my bag.

No problems if you can't post pictures... but... at the end of the FAQ section on the BC/YC thread, I have instructions on posting photos from Photobucket AND on how to import them all Large (not Full) sized, so that you don't have to resize at all. I can talk you thru when you get back. Or not. You do just fine with Shutterfly!

I must say you REALLY deserve a vacation!!! As a parent whos child needed a ped urologist (and got one with not the best bedside manner for children) I know you work hard (as do most drs!)

Hi Amanda,
I guess we were both too busy to attend the Dis meet in Manhattan tonight.
I'm just about to go water change my fish tanks and then finish packing the carry ons for our NYC Magic cruise.
Kindle and Nook are both charged and synched.
Just came back from the nail salon. No time to cook, so got take out.

Hope the weather hold up for you. Looking on the bright side, rain means less crowds. Enjoy your stay at the Wyndham.
