A DISmeet here..a DISmeet there..Our August Southern Tour- Final Posts - #544!

speaking of said almost teenager....Megan has been having some issues with hearing noises and finally got her in the doctor today....she had a slight ear infection back in July and guess is never got cleared up, left ear is a mess and right ear has a slight infection and we also found out she shows signs of Allergies...so on a stronger AB and OTC allergy pills for a month... doc said with all the built up fluid it was no wonder she was hearing funny noises. hope the OTC pills will help with the seasonal allergies so we don't have to progress to shots.

That must have been pretty scary for her to be hearing noises. :worried: I hope she has no trouble with the new medicines and they help her out big time. I have horrific allergies as well, I actually do the shots, they have made such a difference! They are a bit inconvenient though and have that slight risk. But it makes spring bearable for me!

Good luck with a teenager! I never really had the typical teenage girl phase, and that made me realize how annoying and rude all my cohorts were. :rotfl: Sooooo very happy to be out of that age group! :lmao:

I agree, I hope Andrea's house sells soon!

Oh no! Glad you caught Megan's ear infection!

D~

we are very excited  only 5 more days until school starts, this mama is ready for a day of quiet :goodvibes

I'm sorry, wish you could get a ticker too! get that house sold! need to get some ideas from Megan, but we will be in need of some new customs if you'd like some business :)
but 6 months also means I will be a mama to a TEENAGER :faint::scared1::bitelip:

We are five days away from school too -- my kids, well Alexa, started wearing on me early in Aug since she talks nonstop. You didn't really see it since she is quieter around people she doesn't know well, but ask Megan. I am sure Alexa contributed to her ear infection!

I didn't even think of it, but being in the south may have brought out some different allergies. I never had any allergies until I until I moved to VA. The otc meds don't help me, but I'm not consistent enough with them either. I hope Megan gets relief from hers. I think if her antibiotic kicks in right away it will help.

I would love to do some customs for you and the teen :) When we did your pixie dust I did not have an embroidery machine, but now I do :cool1:

I agree, I hope Andrea's house sells soon!
I agree even more than you do! DD was actually having a fit the other night because she can't understand why no one will buy that house b/c it really is a great house. If it weren't for the economy I'm pretty certain it would have sold by now.

she woke up feeling nauseated and did throw up a bit, a side effect of her AB's will be calling the doc in a bit to see if we should change meds!
Megan's has been a challenge for a while, so don't think her being a teen will change much...always said she's 80% angel 20% devil, which luckily doesn't come out too much!

happy we did too!

will contact you soon about some custom's!

It's funny but when I read your trip report title I read it to the tune of Old McDonald.:rotfl:

I am glad that you took Megan to the Dr and they found the ear infection. Hopefully the antibiotics stop making her sick.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: yay someone actually figured it out, I was thinking the same thing when I named it!

me too, she is running a low grade temp and is having a bit of tummy issues still from her AB...talked to the Doc on call and said to give her just one a day for a couple of days until her tummy is feeling better. she did eat some toast and crackers and has kept them down!

:wave2:.. Hi Judy. Yes came out of lurker mode. Just been a hard 8 months. Since we practically live at the hospital..computer connection is horrible on this board. Today it's been nice to me;). I hope Lisa tells you I pray for you all and I do read all your updates. I just been physically and [mentally drained and seeing everyone making trip plans are hard. You know how it is:) Kylee wants to go back to Disneyland so bad and have fun( yes we were there in Feb. and the only fun she has had all year) and can't provide her with a day of fun. I am praying if all goes well..we can meet Lisa and Megan again.. If that's inside of Disneyland or outside. Gives me a little hope for my Princess;)

Message in purple:)

:cool1: Yeah for you ticker. But sorry to hear about Meghan's ear infection I remember when you posted that she had one a few months back.

Kris... it's great to see you posting. I have been following along and seeing how much Kylee and you have gone through this year.

Definitely the economy and the fact that your house is located in the worst of all the states for unemployment :sad1:

Thank you Michelle:hug: I'm going to try really hard to post more over here.

So sorry to hear that Megan is sick from the ab's -- I got sick from my last set, but I thought that was do to age as everything seems to get harder at 29 years old. I really hope she feels better since school starts up so soon.

Give her some :hug::hug::hug: from Alexa and I.

Sorry I missed your posts yesterday -- I was at my embroidery machine a good part of the day and taking pics to send to you. I have a couple of more shirts done -- I should get one package out to Judy this week and then hopefully one more after that and then Judy can post her own pics :)

I do want to make dd a skirt and shirt today with that kitty fabric I got in NC. I figure I should do something fun for her since it's the first week of school.

I'm glad to see you here as well, I read Kylee's TR back when I was in lurk mode and I remember seeing you a bit in Judy's reports so I always wonder how you guys are doing. I keep your entire family in my prayers every night  I hope Kylee is coming home soon! :goodvibes
