we arrived at the golf course and talked to one of the managers and explained who we were and if we could go take a couple photos, he was so kind and let us take a golf cart out!
this course was a swamp when we arrived in Oct 1999 (I was 4 months pregnant with Megan) many trucks and equipment got stuck in the muck, was an adventure in building to say the least!
was wonderful to see something Jim had a hand in creating...we have only been back to a couple of courses he has worked on, since we always left before they were opened for play!
we then got on the road to head to Judy's in Charlotte! drive went pretty fast with no traffic so were ahead of schedule...Judy wouldn't be home until after 7...got to Rock Hill and found a mall and then had dinner at the Cracker Barrel....ran into a bit of traffic going through Charlotte, but was still a bit early, got up to Judy's exit and saw an Ikea, killed a bit of time there and then finally got to Judy's!
was so great to see them again, they welcomed us with lots of hugs! the girls headed up to play and we did lots of talking! I didn't take to many photos of our time!
Wednesday -
went to a dr appt for the kids and hung out at the house
Thursday - Andrea and Alexis arrived and we hung out - no photos if this day
know we did stay up late most nights talking!
Friday - exciting news, we got to hear Rachel play at her Rock Camp that afternoon and we were having our DISmeet that night at Judy's with Marianne, Liz, D & Beth,,,Judy called them when we found out about the show and they met us there.
here's a photo of the kids waiting for the show to start!
she did a wonderful job and we enjoyed the concert!
after the show we drove back to Judy's for pizza and hanging out with the ladies! ( Pete and the boys left) we exchanged gifts, I made note cards for everyone in their fav colors
Megan got this from D
Andrea made us luggage tags and D made us lanyards & purses on them that Beth helped with the embroidary!
we then got a private concert with Rachel and Pete
and Lisa sang us - no photo of that
it was fun getting to meet all the ladies ( and seeing Liz again) we said our goodnights (Andrea and I would be seeing them again in the morning for the shopping trip) helped get the house cleaned up and Judy, Andrea and I talked a bit, before I headed up to bed with Megan - she was pretty tired from not getting enough rest and asked to sleep with me the rest of the trip.
Saturday - Andrea and I headed out early to meet up for the DIS shopping trip - Judy stayed home since her broken toe wasn't feeling to good and not up to all the walking.
since I'm not a sewing girl, just went along for the ride (well I drove) to be able to meet everyone...we started off at a thread store which was pretty cool and then over to Mary Jo's which was HUGE and lots of pretty fabrics!
I only took a couple photos - group shot, was fun meeting everyone!
and Andrea, D, beth and myself
Andrea and I said our good-byes and headed back to Judy's to hang for the rest of the day!
it was nice to be able to talk and be with our friends!
Judy made some yummy fried chicken for dinner and kept kicking us out of the kitchen!
Sunday- Andrea and Alexis headed home and we stayed in for the day, was a relaxing day! Megan wasn't feeling to well and Bandit sensed it
and was doing his "job" in making her feel better ( after we got home found out she had a bad ear infection)
Monday - we were heading home

Said our good-byes to the boys and then headed out for Lisa's Dr appt
the girls
and my sweet sister and me
we went to lunch afterwards before saying our good-byes and final hugs...
trip home was good and happy to be home after an eighteen day whirlwind trip!
we had so much fun seeing old friends, meeting new DIS friends, visiting our old stomping grounds and making new memories to add to our old ones.
thank you for all the hospitality shown to us Shawna, Bruce, Liz, Judy and Pete!
was fun meeting the other ladies, Andrea, D, Beth, Marianne, Nini and so many more during the shopping trip...our love of Disney had brought you into our lives and am grateful for your friendship and support!
