A Disboutiquer's "just another trip report" --THE END! updated 8/28

Thanks! I CASE'd that shirt from another disboutiquer--was it you? :rotfl:

.

Nope it wasn't me. I am thinking of CASE ing that shirt from you! We don't have any trips coming up. I don't remember who did it first but it is perfect for boys!

I can't wait to read more.:surfweb:

Just found your thread (have been on a hiatis from the DIS) and I love it. I have had my kids waiting for me to start dinner for 30 minutes so I could get caught up. Can't wait to hear more!

Fabulous!
I'm loving this just as much as CampbellScot's and all of UtahMama's!

I just found your trip report and I'm really enjoying it. Your kids are very cute and their outfits are great. I'll be checking back for the next chapter!

Just stumbled across your TR - love your customs! I really love that Nemo one! PM me if you can with info on what pattern you used for it. Great TR. Sounds like you all had a great trip!

Just read it all! I PM'd you regarding DD's bows! Love the customs - you are so talented. :goodvibes

Looking forward to more installments.

Gotta love the Beverly! I can't wait to tell my kids how yummy it is and then snap a picture of them tasting it. How evil are we? A few years back my evil sister told our WHOLE family how delicious the Beverly was. We all gulped it down, expecting it to be the best drink ever. :headache:

Good Times, Good Times!!!!   :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh, if I had only had the camera ready for THAT shot!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

When Lyddy was 1, I gave her a sip of the Beverly, and she promptly threw up! :scared1:

Just subbing for an update!

Hi Shannon!

Just stumbled across your TR - love your customs! I really love that Nemo one! PM me if you can with info on what pattern you used for it. Great TR. Sounds like you all had a great trip!

I used the stripwork jumper pattern, (created by fellow DISer Carla/Louismama) from youcanmakethis.com

Just read it all! I PM'd you regarding DD's bows! Love the customs - you are so talented. :goodvibes

I just had a new chapter about 3/4 the way done and I bumped something and it disappeared. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: It was REALLY good too!

Wow, where were we? Yes, I am a slacker. We were slowly but surely exiting Mission: Space and the playground area. When we got out we decided to take our tour around "the world". On the way, DH and the boys had to make a potty stop, so the girls and I kept walking at our slow pace. DD2 was asleep in the stroller. We passed through Mexico and just as we were leaving we looked off to the side and saw this:

There was one girl getting her photo taken with Donald, and one small group waiting, so DDs and I stood behind the waiting family—you know, like forming a line? Just as it was about our turn, Mr. Clean showed up—I mean Mr. Clean in the sense that he was very large and very bald (I think he was even wearing a white t-shirt, I wish now I had a picture!) He was yelling and shouting in a very thick accent—I would guess he was Scottish, no offense to any lovely Scottish folk out there. I couldn’t really understand him but he shoved his child (a girl about the age of my DD) past us and right beside Donald. The CM/character handler and I just sort of stood aside and looked at each other. I think we were both askeered. Once the shouting and shoving was gone, we were able to get DD’s picture taken. We then moved on to Norway where we met up with DH and the boys.

Being the good DISer that I am, I informed them that we would now be going to the Kringla bakery for some school bread (first time I’ve tried it--YUM!) So DH took sleeping DD in the stroller and went to find a table with the boys while DD10 and I went to get some snacks. Now, I may be mistaken, but Kringla bakery seems to be set up a little bit cafeteria style what with the trays and the little shelf/rail for sliding them along. As you view the lovely food items and select what you want, the CM will get it for you and you slide your tray along to the cash register. WELL, DD and I were briefly debating the merits of the cream horn vs. the school bread when who should BARGE past us SHOVING and HOLLERING and demanding “I WANT THAT!” Yep, it was Mr. Clean and his poor offspring. I was still askeered, but this time I stood up for myself and said “excuse me, but we were ordering” There was some huffing and puffing on his part, not sure what he was saying, but I went on with my order and he had to get back in line behind me. We went out the door and sat with DH (glad he was there) and Mr. Clean stormed past us on the way out.

We continued around the world at a pretty quick pace. We had ADR’s coming up at Garden Grill and wanted to make our way around before then. We spent a little time in Germany. DH bought some chocolate and the kids loved the fountain. The weather was beautiful so we kind of relaxed and enjoyed the moment.

In Italy we stopped to see a performer—okay, I shopped while DH and the kids went to see a performer. DD2 woke up and needed a diaper change. When I got back, I discovered the kids had found the kidcot station so we let them color masks for a while. I wandered off and bought a little chocolate myself…

It wasn't too crowded in Morocco...

IMG_0595-1.jpg

We briefly saw the candy maker in Japan but by now we were starting to be a little rushed. We ended up racing right through England and Canada—not good since DH is Canadian. :sad2: We made it to the Garden Grill just in time for our ADRs and were seated pretty quickly.

coming up very very soon...Garden Grill

Is it wrong to laugh at that?
I found both instances hillarious myself! It's hard to clean up throw up when you are laughing hysterically though!

AND WOO HOO!!!! An update!!!    I love the countries at Epcot! We have a hard time making it through them all though! We always run out of time. It looks like you guys are having a great time! I'm ready to go back! Good for you sticking up for yourself with Mr. Clean!

Where was my girl Lily?! :sad1: ;) Snoozin in her stoller that's where!

your babies are all so beautiful!!!

Too bad about the Scottish Brute! Sometimes they can't help themselves! (I can say that without malice cuz I'm married to one myself! :lmao: ) He certainly needed an eyebrow arch and a manners lesson let me tell you! I'm glad you told him to BACK OFF!!!:cool1:

Isn't School bread DIVINE?! LOVE IT!!!

I can't wait to hear what y'all thought about Garden Grill!!!

great installment!!! can't wait for more!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Cute!!! I've been reading for a while so I thought I'd post. I love Caballero Donald... he was our first character on our trip. :) He looks like he's wearing a bib though :rotfl:

You know what sounds good now? School bread with a dole whip float

Cute!!! I've been reading for a while so I thought I'd post. I love Caballero Donald... he was our first character on our trip. :) He looks like he's wearing a bib though :rotfl:
Now that you mention it...I guess it's too hot in Florida for a full on poncho? especially when you are coverd in fur :confused3 :rotfl:

So we got seated at the Garden Grill...BUT WAIT! We aren't rotating! Nope, sorry, no rotating tonight :sad1: It was not a good start. We were seated in the inner tier so not even much to look at either. The service here was mediocre at best. The food--well I liked the turkey and potatoes. The kids loved the chicken fingers. The characters were random. Chip spent a lot of time with us,

Pluto was great, (love the whisker in the eye:rotfl: )

but Mickey and Dale kept walking past us all night long. I kept telling the kids "they'll come back" but I started wondering myself. They did finally stop by very briefly.

Notice how much space between our table and the wall. I felt pretty squished there! I'm a tad claustrophobic and I was getting a little stressed. Maybe I'm just bitter because we weren't rotating.

Chip was awesome though. We had quite a conversation. That chipmunk is pretty good at sign language! He loved Lily's Nemo dress, then made sewing motions to ask if I'd sewn it myself. When I said yes, I did, he was all thumbs up and high five. I said to my family "see, someone appreciates all my hard work!" :lmao: Seriously, it was the most appreciation I'd had in a long time. Yay Chip! Overall, I was pretty disappointed with our dining experience at Garden Grill. I had been really looking forward to it. I think on a different day we may have had a better experience (better service, rotating restaurant, better character interaction). But the kids REALLY loved decorating their own cupcakes!

After dinner we got FP's for Soarin, went and rode the Figment ride (which the kids really loved :confused3 ) Soarin' was exactly the same as it is in Disneyland. We love that ride! Then we decided to go on Livin' With the Land which we loved. We then headed back to the World Showcase for Illuminations.
We were standing there waiting for it to start when I heard (hadn't turned around yet) a strange man offer DD10 some popcorn. She hesitated and then said no. I turned around and realized it was the CM from the popcorn cart near us just trying to provide a magical moment. DD was a good girl not taking popcorn from a stranger, but we assured her it was okay, he was the popcorn man :rotfl:

Next up: Day 6: Animal Kingdom--who goes on EE?

WOOOHOOOOO yet another update!!!

I'm sorry you didn't have a good Garden Grill experience! We were pleasantly suprised when we went there. I can't believe it wasn't even rotating! Bummer!

My kids love the lights in the sidewalk too! Ok, I really like them myself!!!

TWO updates! :cool1: What a happy surprise for me this morning. I'm really enjoying your trip report. Your kids are adorable and I love that they match. The Nemo dress (& the others you've made) is quite amazing. Wish I was crafty but alas I have trouble sewing on a button!! Maybe I'll attempt an iron-on shirt...

Looking forward to hearing about AK and the rest of your trip!
