A DIS stalker's first pre-trippie...It's D-Day (Disney Day)!!

This was our MGM day and I was excited about taking Evan on Tower of Terror. That is my favorite ride in the park!!!

We got down to the boat ferry just as a whole bunch of conventioneers arrived. Wonderful...we had to wait for 2 ferries before we could finally get on. But once we got into the park we hightailed it for Rock N Roller Coaster. On the way, Mom did her usual....thanks Mom again. I really debated on whether to post this one but then I thought, heck a lot of you are gonna see the real me in Disney anyway...
125.jpg

But then I turned around and gave her a real pose...
126.jpg

Mom did manage to get a great picture of Dad and Evan walking toward the Tower of Terror...
128.jpg

We grabbed fast passes at RNRC for me, Rob & Dad as no one else wanted to go on it. We then went over to Tower of Terror. The only ones who wanted to go on that ride were me, Rob, Evan & Dad. Actually, Alec was too small. Mom never goes on those rides and Marla and Bob weren’t interested. We didn’t care.

Mom, Alec, Bob & Marla went to grab a bite to snack on. Of course, Mom was the one to buy Alec a Mickey ice cream bar. Bob & Marla bought themselves something. Mom thought Alec wasn’t looking too well so she bought him the ice cream for comfort. I had no problem with that as I really trust my mom with those kinds of things. She is definitely NOT a spoiler. Look at my baby. He did look a bit under the weather...
130.jpg

Evan absolutely LOVED Tower of Terror. We got it on video his expression as we were dropping and he always had a smile on his face. He wanted to do it again right away but we had to get over to Rock N Roller Coaster. So we dropped Evan off with Mom, Bob & Marla and headed over to RNRC. Rob & I wanted to ride in the front so we had to wait a couple of turns to get in it. Dad rode behind us with another single rider whose hubby was too chicken to go on the ride. Look at her face in this picture. We totally cracked up at her!!!
rocknroll.jpg

After RNRC we noticed that our ADR time had come for the Sci-Fi so we ran to get there in time. When we got there I don’t know why we ran as there was no one there. Alec, in the meantime, had fallen asleep in the stroller so we asked if we could roll the stroller in and place it beside the car. They told us absolutely. We had 2 cars next to each. Dad sat next to me in front of the pink car. Rob sat behind us next to the stroller with sleeping Alec.
132.jpg

Evan sat with Mom in the front seat in the purple car ...
133.jpg

Bob & Marla sat behind them. I like this picture of them.
000124.jpg

We all enjoyed the music, film clips, and total atmosphere of the place. We loved the burgers and fries. Evan & Alec received a free frisbee at the end of their meals.

We went to watch the Muppets - which I also love - and then while walking around we look up and see...
0001132.jpg

Of course, we just had to stand in line to get Buzz & Woody autographs and photo ops! Oh the fun of waiting in line...
135.jpg

Finally get the boys up for the pictures and they were scared so I had to stand in there with them.
137.jpg

We did the behind the scenes tour. I got a super shot of the construction of Stunt Show. Lovely, eh?
0001130.jpg

The only thing the boys liked about that ride was Catastrophe Canyon. Soon Evan was tired and fell asleep in the stroller...
119.jpg

...so we took Alec in to meet with Mickey.
0001129.jpg

We were all very hot so I bought a Diet Coke and cooled off while Alec and the newly awakened Evan ran through a mister. It looked awfully tempting! Sorry no pics here.

I thought the boys would enjoy Playhouse Disney so we got in line to wait for the next show. It was a nice shaded area and we sat down. Here are the boys doing their “typical” pose for me...
0001127.jpg
0001126.jpg

It truly makes a Mommy proud. Even moreso was during the show when Mom took this picture...
139.jpg

But this picture makes my heart melt everytime I look at it. Doesn’t Alec look like an angel here?
0001123.jpg

If you do go to Playhouse Disney, don't make the mistake we did and sit up front. The view is much better from back further. There were a lot of times that all we saw were the heads only of the characters.

Finally dinnertime came and we went to...
0001122.jpg

Our waitress pretty much sucked. Evan was kind of bored so he started making more faces...
0001120.jpg

...and Alec had his own fun...
0001121.jpg

Alec was kind of eating his macaroni and cheese but he wasn’t looking very well again. Rob finally said he was going to take him out for some fresh air and no sooner did they walk out the front doors when Alec threw up all over himself and the front walk.

Meanwhile, we were all enjoying our meals when I heard a waitress walking through the diner asking if Dawn was there. I heard her and stood up. She said that my little boy was sick out front. I asked Dad if he could pay for our meals and ran out. Even before I got outside I began to smell that disgusting vomit smell. I felt bad for incoming patrons but worse for my baby. They had to redirect patrons through the bar entrance even! Poor little Alec. I guess we really just pushed him too much. I ran into a clothing shop and bought him a new sweatshirt and threw away his other. He actually did feel better after he was sick. We started strolling through the park at nighttime now and Rob commented on how nice and peaceful it was at that time. Just so happened Fantasmic was going on and most people, I guess, were there. We both said that next time we would take this opportunity to enjoy the park during Fantasmic.

We all got onto the ferry to head back to the Yacht Club. We sat in the way back outside because Alec still smelled and we we didn’t want to upset anyone else.

I was glad that we weren’t going to be taking the boys anywhere tomorrow. It was a day for Rob & I as my parents and Bob & Marla agreed to let us have a day to ourselves while they watched the boys. So, Epcot here we come...

This was the day that was supposed to be just for Rob & I. So, we got up early, gave the kids a quick bite, dropped them off with Mom & Dad, and headed to the gate. We got there in plenty of time as we had to wait about 10 minutes. We flew in and rushed over to Mission Space and grabbed a FP. The line was already growing there. So we went over to the Fountainview Café to get something for breakfast and wait for our FP time to come up which was shortly. I got a danish and Rob got some sort of yucky thing. He liked it though. As we sat there we started thinking that maybe we would like the boys to join us and, of course, bring everyone else. So, we called up Dad and asked him what everyone thought. They said they would all come into Epcot for the morning and early afternoon and then leave Rob & I alone so we could have our time again. We went and rode Mission Space and by that time everyone else had joined up with us.

The character caravan started coming. Just then a woman with a stroller ran over my foot getting up in front me to see it. It hurt really bad and I yelled out, “OUCH!” She just gave me a dirty look. I told her that she ran over my foot. She still did not even acknowledge. So I proceeded to tell her that she was rude and left it at that. I know accidents happen with strollers. I have bumped into people before but I have been overly apologetic. She was downright rude and wanted to get in front of me and my kids to see this caravan. Ugh!!!
120.jpg

So we took Evan on Test Track for the first time. He loved it. We then proceeded to go into Spaceship Earth and ride that Figment ride. Just a few more things then they all left us alone.

Rob & I enjoyed the Food & Wine Festival after they all left. At this point, I guess I should tell you. I had found out that I was pregnant with Brooke the night before we left on our vacation. I was ecstatic but only a bit bummed because I did want to enjoy some wine from the festival. Who would have thought that I would get pregnant with just one try (I mean ONE TRY ONLY!!!) Small price to pay though... We never told anyone I was pregnant yet as it really was only 4 weeks. Gotta love them pregnancy tests nowadays.

I decided to buy a baby sweatshirt. I had to pick out gray because, of course, we had no idea it would be a girl. I was just so excited to be buying something for a baby again.

We started on the Canadian side of the F&W Festival and ate and ate. By the time we made it to France we were full. In Morocco I saw that they were doing the henna tattoos so I went ahead and got one around my wrist. I thought it looked totally cool. I would love to do that again. It cost me $20. Rob & I originally had an ADR at Jiko for dinner but I called and cancelled as we were way to full for dinner. We thought we would go back to the room, relax and maybe go over to Jelly Rolls.

Well, that didn’t happen. My cell rang. It was Dad. He said Alec was crying and crying hysterically wanting us back. So we just went back and grabbed the boys. Mom, Dad, Bob & Marla then left and went into Epcot together. We ordered a pizza from Spoodles, ate it in the room while Alec calmed down, and then decided to just take a walk around the lagoon over to the BoardWalk.

The boys loved that. They played some silly water gun game until they both won stuffed animals. We bought them those lightup spinning toys. Here’s Evan with both of them.
EvanattheBoardWalkwithPoohandBuzzLi.jpg

We even enjoyed a strolling banjo man.
BanjoplayerattheBoardWalk.jpg

That pretty much summed up our day. All in all, even though Rob & I didn’t get our “alone” time all day and evening, we really enjoyed coming back with our boys and strolling the BoardWalk with them.

Tomorrow was our last real full day and we were spending the morning and afternoon just the four of us at the Magic Kingdom.

Next installment...
Our last full day...(insert sniffles here)

Ahhh , enjoyed another installment of your trip report...You got some good pictures. Thank for including another butt picture for all of us:lmao:
Does your mom do it on purpose??LOL

We had a similar experience in AK last time. It alternated between light rain and hard rain, with occasional misty interludes all day. We got so tired of those ponchos, water running down our faces, etc. :confused3 Half our group wanted to give up and go back, and half wanted to stick it out. It wouldn't have been much better back at the resort - couldn't use the pool or playground and the kiddos were too young to enjoy the game room. So we stayed as long as we could stand it and saw the shows that were under cover. But I am hoping for much better weather this next trip!! :cool1:

PittypatBR-- I'm from Baton Rouge too!

Here I am again, a few days behind... Didn't even realize you posted on Saturday or else I would have responded!!!!

You rode RnR while you were preggers???? You rebel you!

Thank you. Yes, I think she does do it on purpose but not really intentional. Does that even make sense? She says that she likes to get everyone walking in once we all enter the gates and too bad if my big ole butt is in the way. I'm just too excited and want to go, go, GO!!

PittypatBR-- I'm from Baton Rouge too!
My thread. Back off! :lmao:

Yes, I rode everything. Being 4 weeks pregnant, the baby is really only a "dot" and is so well protected that unless someone intentionally slammed a metal pipe in your gut, it wouldn't make a difference. Alcohol, on the other hand, those early weeks in pregnancy can be dangerous. Virgin smoothies hit the spot that week!

Hi DM, I was sure I posted about your MGM day, don't know where it went? You must have thought I was terrible chatting to you on Cathy's thread and ignoring yours sorry :flower3:

I love the finger up the nose photo's  and yes Alec does look like an angel in that photo it's lovely :goodvibes

Pity you didn't get any alone time at Epcot but I reckon you'd already had enough ;) :rotfl2:

Hi DM! :wave2: I don't know why it took me so long to get over here and read your pre-trippie, but I'm sure glad I finally did! I have so enjoyed reading it so far, especially hearing about the Yacht Club and SAB since I'm splurging on 2 nights there in June! :cool1:

Welcome! I'm so glad you came over too. You will absolutely love Stormalong Bay. No matter what your preference in a hotel is - that pool is the bestest ever. I wish we could have spent more time relaxing in it.

Our last full day in Disney World. But we were looking forward to spending time in the Magic Kingdom just the 4 us. We were to meet up with the rest in Epcot later.

Alec wanted to be held by Rob walking into the Magic Kingdom. I think he was just wiped out from the whole week.
0001119.jpg

We arrived after the official opening but walked very quickly to Splash Mountain. It was a bit chilly that day so I decided that we would put on our ponchos. Rob stayed with Alec while Evan and I went on the ride. There was no line! In fact we had to tell the CMs to wait for us so we could put on our ponchosI had figured there would be enough time in line - what line? Evan loved it again. We didn’t buy the picture this time as the ponchos really covered us up.

I also didn’t take too many pictures this day. It was a day to just do things that we had either missed or wanted to do again. We thought of it more as a go-with-the-flow day.

We had lunch at the Crystal Palace and still to this day is my favorite character meal. Poor Alec fell asleep and missed all the action. But Piglet was kind enough to motion to my baby asleeping...
0001114.jpg

But my shy little Evan started to really open up with the characters. If you knew how shy he was back then, it was really sad. So this lightened our hearts.
0001110.jpg
0001111.jpg

We walked over to Toon Town. Evan saw the face painting and just had to have one. We thought it was pretty cool too. Evan wanted a lion but we didn’t see one on the list that was posted so we asked and the CM said that he could do anyway. Evan was the best. He laid there with his eyes closed very still. I held his hand the whole time. Here is the end result...
0001109.jpg

We checked out Mickey’s house but the boys really weren’t too interested. Alec wanted to ride the train and Evan wanted to play in the little play area. So Rob took Alec for a ride around the park and I stayed with Evan.
0001108.jpg

We thought we would head back to the our room to freshen up and then go on over to Epcot to meet up with the rest for dinner. Our ADR was for 6 pm at the Garden Grill. Everyone may wonder how I can remember that time. Here’s why. We were a party of 8. The GG has only a few booths on the bottom section that can accommodate all of us. We got to the podium to check in for our ADR about 5 to 10 minutes early. We were told that we would have to split up our party as they had just seated a family at the larger booth. We looked over at that family and it was a family of 4. Dad and I got more than a bit irked at that and asked them why would they seat a family of 4, who does not need that big of a booth, in that area when they knew from the ADR that a party of 8 was coming in? The CM said it was their policy to give those booths out on request. I said that was ridiculous. They could have waited to see if we did not show for our ADR. The CM just shrugged and said sorry, it was still their policy. I personally think that policy stinks. Those booths are made for larger groups and should be kept for them. We had to split up 4 and 4. Bob, Marla, Evan & Mom sat in one booth beside us - Me, Rob, Alec & Dad.

We really were not too thrilled with this meal either and we remember loving it before. Oh well. The kids enjoyed the character interaction.
146.jpg
000162.jpg

...and apparently so did Dad!
000150-1.jpg

And, again, I bring you a wonderful picture that Mom took of us. If she weren’t my best friend I think I would have smashed her camera by now. Now look at me looking at the straw. What the heck? "Uh duh..what be this contraption?" :lmao:
144.jpg

After dinner, we split up again and Rob & I took the boys to the lighted sidewalks...
000138.jpg
000142.jpg

We went over to the United Kingdom and the boys loved running through the hedge maze. After that we just mosied on back to the International Gateway where I bought myself a Disney watch and large carry-all bag (intended for a diaper bag when we got home). We watched Illuminations from the lagoon again on our last evening and then called it a night...

Next installment...
We're going home...but first let's eat!

Oh Jo...I was furious at you for not reading my report!!! :lmao: Seriously, I'm glad people are actually reading it!!!
I did read it just forgot to post or it got eaten :confused3 :rotfl2:

Awww what a sweetie :goodvibes

I love that Tigger is sitting with him!

Here is the end result...
0001109.jpg
That's really good :thumbsup2

Now look at me looking at the straw. What the heck? "Uh duh..what be this contraption?" :lmao:
144.jpg
First your thumb now a straw what's next? :lmao:

Great installments....poor little Alec sleeping like an angel:angel: He is so cute! Sorry about the throwing up incident...at home it is easier but what are you to do in the middle of a park??? :confused3 Sounds like you handled it well though. Evan's tiger face painting is sooo good! :thumbsup2 I don't know about the policy thingy at GG. Methinks they just never looked to see if a big party was coming in and messed up but didnt want to admit it to you.:guilty: I am sorry this trippie within a pre-trippie is ending but everyone looks like they had a great time and their fill of Disney! I hope you got another swim in before you left!!!!

First your thumb now a straw what's next? :lmao:
Oh I never mentioned that there was a time back when I was a teenager that my parents thought it was just the best thing to take pictures of people when they were eating - or should I say "stuffing their faces". I actually had an argument with Dad telling him to stop and he said that people LIKED to see pictures of themselves doing that, that he thought people liked to laugh at themselves. Yeah, right!

I am sorry this trippie within a pre-trippie is ending but everyone looks like they had a great time and their fill of Disney! I hope you got another swim in before you left!!!!
Yes, this trip is winding down but I still have 2 more one-day trips to add on with lots and lots of pictures to bore you all! :thumbsup2

After those trips, then my real pre-trip talk begins!

Our last day had arrived. Rob & I took the boys to Cape May Café for breakfast this morning. I first went to the Yacht Club desk to ask for a late checkout of 1 pm and was given the okay. We headed over to Cape May Café for our 8 am ADR and had a quick little meet and greet with Minnie Mouse. Evan was too shy to go over to Minnie even with me there but Alec was more than willing, as long as I held him.
000174.jpg

The boys really weren’t into eating that much. Glad Alec was still free at that time. Goofy and all came around to the tables a bunch of times. It was really good character interaction.
000172.jpg

000164.jpg

000169.jpg

We then went back to our room and I got us ready to check out while the all the boys and men went for final swims. We then checked out about 12:30 pm. Our FL Tours van wasn’t supposed to arrive until 3 pm so we had some time to spend. We thought we would grab a bite to eat at Beaches & Cream since there wouldn’t be much of a chance to eat good once we got to the airport.

The hamburgers were very good there and the ice cream was scrumptious!
000114.jpg

000117.jpg

AleceatingicecreamatBeachesCream.jpg
000111.jpg

We let the boys run around the resort a bit while we waited for our time to come to an end. And, just as Alec had done the first day that we were there, he ran over to Evan and gave him another big hug...
000122.jpg

So, as we were waiting at the porte-cochere for FL Tours to arrive, up comes a stretch limo. The bellman went over to the limo and then came over to us and said that it was ours. I told him, no, we had a van coming. But he insisted and the driver said that this was the only thing available. Oh shucks...we had to take a limo back to the airport from the Yacht Club. Boy were we getting to be royal snots or what?

Yes, I had only a couple of small complaints about the limo. First, we had 8 people and a crap load of luggage. The luggage was packed into the trunk and also placed beside the driver in the front seat. We had to place our double stroller inside with us. Then, there was no child restraint for Alec so we just had to make sure he was buckled in good. Other than that, it was a great way to end our Disney World vacation!!!!

Next installment...
Ft. Myers vacation...but we sneak in a day at the Magic Kingdom.

Awww, what a cool ending to your vacation. But I bet you are sooo excited now about your vacay in June!!! And oh yeah, what happened at the Rainforest Cafe?

Awww, what a cool ending to your vacation. But I bet you are sooo excited now about your vacay in June!!! And oh yeah, what happened at the Rainforest Cafe?
Thanks for coming back to read...now get back and work on yours! :rotfl:

I didn't elaborate on the Rain Forest Cafe basically because it just wasn't that good. Out of 6 adults, none of us liked our food. The once in awhile "rainforest" eruptions that happened were really no big deal. From where we were sitting, it could really have gone unnoticed. So, with 6 bad meals and for what we paid, there are just way too many better places to go. So we will never go back there!

And if anyone else is reading this....head on over to LaMagique's "Happiest Summer..." trip report. It is really really interesting and she has the best smile ever! :cutie:

Yay! That is a great way to end your trip!!!!

Now, do you get to start talking about your June trip???
