A DIS stalker's first pre-trippie...It's D-Day (Disney Day)!!

I just realized that I have been missing your trip report updates because you changed the title! I kept seeing them in my inbox, and thinking I needed to unsubscribe, but was too lazy!

Still love the pic of Evan sticking out his tongue. Although, not as funny as Avery doing that this past Sunday during church. She was next in the communion line waiting to be blessed, but was looking at Tucker in the pew. He tried to tell her to turn around, and she stuck out her tongue! The entire section where we were sitting burst out laughing! I was SO proud! :rotfl:

Crumby Crumb rain...ruining your ak day! Glad you made the most of it. Funny about the grandparents in law :confused3 :confused3

Yes, sorry I changed the name. I thought I would "adverstise" this thread by putting the word "pictures" in it. Also, people seem to like to know what day they updated so I put that in there too.

Love that you have just as perfect kids as I do! They should get along great if you come to Epcot for our meet!

We really didn't make the most of our day now did we? We all got fed up and left! But this is the year that we really do it right!!! :thumbsup2

Ok...triple checking, looking around....amI where I think I am...why yes I do believe I am where I think I am....:rotfl:

Actually I had NOT seen this TR! But I am glad I have found it now!
I LOVE all those old pics of your history with Disney!! I definetly think youshould have your kids pics taken with those gargoyles in France...maybe make it a family pic spot?? Wuuld be totally cute in a collage or something! I can relate to your story about the fertility probs, we went through the same process with Mackenzie, so sure PM me your more "interesting" story LOL you know the nurse in me can't resist it!
I can also relate to your probs with the inlaws vs your parents being more involved with the kids. My mom is very involved with Mackenzie as much as she can be where as Tim's mom...well lets just say she sends his brothers kids birthday and christmas presents and she just sends Mackenzie a card. When Tim was gone to Iraq for over a year, she called once and sent one e-mail. :sad2:
I didn't relaize you were going to be at POR too!! Gotta go check your dates!.......................................................... Awwww you'll be getting there jsut as were leaving :(

Glad you made it over here...FINALLY!! :lmao:

It's too bad that you leave POR just as we are coming in so we will miss each other...:sad1: . I kept looking at your dates and then shook my head each time...:sad2:

I'll be PMing you...

Oh we were so excited that we could spend some real time at Stormalong Bay. Everyone really wanted and needed it by that time.

I’m sure most of you have heard what a great pool this is by reading the DISboards. It really is great! There is a wonderful sand bottomed area that is really nice for the little ones but I have to admit that I liked it just because I could sit in the sand and cool off in the water. Come on and join me when I say, “Ahhhhhhhhh!”

I can’t hear you.......let’s say it again, “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

I loved that we could even relax here while the kids when up and down the sand dune.

You can get a good sense of how deep the water really is in this area. Dad is standing up with Alec...

...and Alec loved that he could "swim" by himself.

Of course we ventured out in deeper waters...

Evan dared to swim in the deeper waters “by himself”.

Here’s a great one of me looking at my thumb....I don’t know why either.

Even Mom loved Stormalong Bay. But she liked the hottub the best (I don’t have a pic of that tho).

One of the kids’ favorite spots was the “front the the ship” which was basically a bigger kiddie pool with a slide.

After our swim we got ready and headed on down to DownTown Disney for some shopping and dinner at Rainforest Café. I only have one picture from DTD and it’s of Alec who was totally into Buzz Lightyear at the time.

Dinner at Rainforest was pretty terrible. I won’t elaborate. Let’s just say we will never return.

Our evening ended with an Illuminations cruise. We got on at the Yacht Club Marina, went past the Swan and Dolphin. Our captain proceeded to tell us interesting little tidbits about it. We cruised down toward MGM Studios and then back to the International Gateway bridge in Epcot where we parked to view Illuminations. Our captain did a cute thing with the kids before Illuminations started. He knew exactly when the lights were going to go out and he had the kids blow at them so they thought they blew all the Epcot lights out. Our captain also played some games with us. He was a riot and I think we had the best boat there!!! Poor Alec fell asleep just as the show began and slept through the entire thing. While the cruise was really nice, we would probably never do it again. We didn’t think the viewing was all that great parked under the bridge.

Next installment...
MGM Studios and the sick boy

Okay, so I'm wishing I were swimming in that pool right this minute!!! Well, maybe not swimming, but floating on a raft drinking a fun drink!!!

It's beautiful!!!!!

Oh wow that does look like fun! I can see why they have to "protect" the pool from vacationers from other resorts! I love zero entry pools with little ones. They can choose the depth to swim in! It looks like you really enjoyed yourselves!
Sorry about your dinner but glad the cruise was nice. I am sure the view is better when you are up-close in the park. I hope we make it to Illuminations. Dont they have an afternoon showing?? :confused3 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Illuminations is only at 9 pm every night and can only be at nighttime due to the fireworks. Sometimes there is a 2nd viewing on EMH pm hours.

Ya that was a joke...get it....afternoon showing...fireworks :confused3

OK I guess it wasnt very funny :headache:

The pool looks lovely, were there any big children slides?

Okay, chalk one up for me for not getting it.....I guess you have to have that British dry sense of humor...

JUST KIDDING

Sometimes things just go right over my head.

There is a very big slide for adults and kids that can swim on their own totally (no swimmies or "catches by adults"). The slide starts up high on the ship mast and loops around with curves. I loved it and went on it a bunch of times.

Ok Thanks, don't know why I asked though a WDW holiday is so expensive as it is let alone ever staying at the BC :laughing:

I totally feel for you sister! Staying there was such a treat yet I feel spoiled and even "copped an attitude" :snooty:  . Now I must go back to Port Orleans Riverside with those poor people - probably most of whom are still richer than we are! :rotfl2:

Jo - now I would really like to know where you do go on holiday usually. I have never travelled abroad. The closest I have come to the UK was Bermuda.

Shall I brag about the 20 countries I've visited? :rotfl2: Our 2 week WDW in a moderate with passes and food last trip in 2005 cost nearly $12,000  This time we have free dining so at the moment the bill is about $9,000, we're staying at CSR for 14 nights with ultimate hopper passes  But so we could afford that last summer was spent in a caravan in Scotland!

We had a similar experience in AK last time. It alternated between light rain and hard rain, with occasional misty interludes all day. We got so tired of those ponchos, water running down our faces, etc. :confused3 Half our group wanted to give up and go back, and half wanted to stick it out. It wouldn't have been much better back at the resort - couldn't use the pool or playground and the kiddos were too young to enjoy the game room. So we stayed as long as we could stand it and saw the shows that were under cover. But I am hoping for much better weather this next trip!! :cool1:

Thanks for reading! Ugh...I do hope this next trip will be better for the AK. If the kids weren't as miserable as they were we probably would have stuck it out. Oh well. I am looking very forward to it. We have ADRs at Donald's at 8 am so we can hit EE first thing - and do a DIS Meet!

Oh, and by the way, I see you are from Louisiana. I always have to do this when I see someone from there...

Go Saints!!
