Day 7: Friday, June 26
We woke up around 9:30 a.m. and planned on swimming some before heading to lunch. We ate breakfast and since B/F and I were already ready for the pool, we headed down there. The sky was looking gray during our walk and I said to him, That doesnt look too good! He said, Oh well be fine! Well get some swimming in before it comes.
We got to the pool and there was a few other families there as well so I knew they hadnt closed the pools yet due to the weather. We sat our stuff down on a chair and B/F jumped in the deep end while I headed to the steps in the shallow end. I was seriously on the last step in and it started pouring. HARD. Mom, Dad, and Sis said they were at the bottom of our steps when it started pouring, so they just turned around, HA. So everyone started getting out because it was storming good. I grabbed a towel to put over my head so I could use it as a shield to even see to walk! We made it back to the room and knocked on the door so they would let us in and Mom opened it really slow with a serious look on her face, but she couldnt hold it long enough and started busted up laughing. I guess we were really soaked and looked not too happy. HA.
Heres the pics of the rain from our balcony:
Mom, Dad, and Sis were almost all done changing since they were right outside the room when it started storming. So, while B/F and I got ready, Mom and Dad went to the Hospitality House to pick up all the packages that we had been sending of stuff we bought. They also had to pick up our Luau tickets for the next night! After B/F and I got ready, we watched some of the Michael Jackson music video marathon on t.v. while we waited for Mom and Dad to get back.
When they got back, we went out on the balcony because the rain was letting up. When it stopped completely, we saw that our duck family was out and we decided to feed them some bread.:
After we had thrown out all of the bread, we decided we were getting hungry for lunch. We headed to the bus stop and got on the MK bus. When we got to the MK, we went over and hopped on the Resort monorail over to the Poly because we were going to be eating at Capt. Cooks!
By this time, the sun was out and it was getting hot again. I was just happy that the rain had quit! We made our way down to Capt. Cooks. For anyone whos been there a long time ago, it is still weird for me to not see those shops where the bathrooms are and where Capt. Cooks is!
I had read about this place on the DIS and wanted to try it out. The family was impressed with me (again) because I had also introduced them to The Mara the day before. We got in line to order, which was so neat because they take your order on a computer! It was a touch screen computer, so we just touched what we wanted and it printed out a receipt that we had to give to the CM at the cashier and she gave us a buzzer. It was packed inside and there were no open tables, so we headed outside to eat and found a table right by the door.
It wasnt too long before our buzzer went off and Dad and B/F went and got the trays. I had California Sushi Rolls and Spicy Shrimp Sushi Rolls and a Dole Whip (a must for any DISer, HA), Sis had the Polynesian Tossed Salad and a yogurt parfait, Dad had a pulled pork sandwich and a Dole Whip, Mom had a double cheeseburger and yogurt, and B/F had the Multigrain Turkey Club and a bowl of fruit.
We also had some little visitors walking around:
So cute!
Also while we were sitting and eating, a CM working at Capt. Cooks and what looked like her boss were over by the corner of the building talking. It looked like she was maybe getting yelled at for something. Who knows?!
After we ate, we headed out to the boat dock for some pics:
The GF:
When we used to stay at the Poly, we loved playing on the beach and sitting in the hammocks. Sis also thought this would also be a great photo op of two men, one swinging the other! HA:
Dad and Sis:
She found that flower on the ground on the way to the dock!
Mom taking a pic of B/F and I:
The pic she took:
Then, we sat on the benches and just took in the view:
After awhile, B/F realized that he had forgotten his wallet in the room! So, we headed over to the walkway to the TTC:
This is lit up so cool at night!:
Sis and Dad thought itd be cool to get a pic of themselves in the reflector thing:
As you can kind-of tell, it was starting to get cloudy and gloomy again! NOOOO!
The walkway to the TTC is such a neat path and not too long at all! When we got to the TTC, we got on the bus to DHS, which was already sitting there waiting! When we got to DHS, we got off at that bus stop and made our way to the OKW bus stop. I know, I know, it was a hassle but we werent in a hurry to do anything so we decided to take our time.
Good thing we werent in a hurry because when we got in line for the OKW bus, the people at the front of the line were loudly complaining that they had been standing there for more than 20 minutes. I knew there was going to be a scene when our bus finally pulled up, and sure enough, they let the CM driving have an ear full. Poor guy didnt do anything to them!
After we made it back to the room and B/F grabbed his wallet, we headed back to the bus stop to go to the MK for the rest of the night.
