A Different Dinner Dress Code question

Am I correct in that I read that jeans are not acceptable at dinner time? (And I'm curious as to all the different restaurants on the ship). Are jackets required? What about kids. Need help here. I thought I was going to be able to pack light. Thx.

At dinner, DCL requests that no jeans or shorts be worn in the dining rooms, and that includes children. They are fine for other meals.

For the casual evenings men usually wear khakis or docker-type pants and polo shirts. Ladies can wear casual pants or dresses. Kids do the same. It's really not that bad, and it's comfortable.

Jackets are not required; they are "suggested" for men when eating at Triton's (Wonder) or Lumiere's (Magic) and when eating in the adults-only restaurant, Palo.

DO PACK LIGHT, though...you will be in shorts or bathing suits most of the day; it's only the evenings when you will dress for dinner.

In what restaurants is it formal and in what restaurants is it casual. Talking about only dinner. When I get my rotation I'll be on the ship already, so I won't know how many formal nights there are.

Hi Mjasp! I wish I was going on that cruise too!

For the 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary we don't yet have information about the formal nights, since the sea days are different from the Eastern Caribbean cruise. Hopefully more information will be released soon so all you lucky Western Caribbean folks can start planning!

According to DCL's site, the Western Itin will have Mondays and Thursdays at sea. That was as of December--haven't checked lately.
Mjsap: have you let WDWgoose know that you're going on the innaugural? They're doing a great job of rounding up the DIS gang. Check the perpetual thread--about 20 or so families so far.
