A Couple Questions Regarding CSR

DD16 and I have been trying to decide whether to stay at POP or a Moderate. We're leaning towards choosing CSR since we want to experience something new. Last year we stayed at POFQ and loved it. The walk to POR was beautiful and we spent quite a bit of time there as well. We originally wanted to go to CBR but since the main pool is being refurbished during our August stay, we decided to wait until 2009. Sooo...it looks like its CSR this year. A couple questions... (1) do Standard rooms have 1 or two sinks;
(2) if you get a Preferred room, is it "preferred" because of location or water view. I'd like to make sure we are not in the "Ranchos" section.

There is only one sink at the CSR...but a lot of counter space. There is no "preferred" location. It is either standard or water view. There is "no guarantee" you won't be in Ranchos; you can request Cabanas or Casitas when you make your reservation and then fax in your request a few days before (which is what we do every year). We will be staying there for the 7th time this September. We have always asked for a room in the Casitas and have always gotten it.

The standard rooms at CSR have one sink. There is extra charge for water view. I don't believe there is a "preferred rate" for special room location (ie, requesting a room close to main building (El Centro).
