Hello everyone, this is my first post so I hope its not too stupid!

Im going outto DW with my GF for the first time in two weeks for a two week trip. Pleasure Island looks great but i was wondering what is the dress code for the clubs there, ie shirt jeans and shoes, or like t-shirt and trainers etc.

Also what sort of clothes are best for the days in the park? Im not sure of how hot it will be.

Thanks very much for your help, sorry if they are stupid questions. pirate:

Happy first posting.
I would definately recommend that you bring an assortment of clothing for your trip. I have been there several times and no 2 trips have been the same weather wise. It is better to be prepared then not to. You can always start out wearing shorts and then come back to the hotel and change if it gets colder. You can also bring a bag of clothing and change at the parks if you don't want to waste time going back to the hotel. The parks do have lockers, so you can store items there if you don't want to carry them.
Also, it is a very good idea to bring ponchos and or umbrellas with you. This way if it does rain, you will still be able to walk around the parks with minimal discomfort. You can probably buy them at any dollar store. That is the first thing that goes into my luggage. As far as the attire for Pleasure Island goes, I would wear something nice, but not too nice. For me, I usually wear black pants and a nice top. Hope this helps! ::MickeyMo

You're from England, must be a British thing. What the heck are trainers?

Around here, my 2 year old niece wears trainers, they're diaper pants. I don't know about wearing those to PI although some people maybe ought to.

Trainers = Sneakers

It's still going to be summer by your standards, so you'll want to bring clothing primarily for warm weather. Add a light jacket--just in case the temperature dips a bit. It probably will rain most days for at least 30 minutes or so, but that's a great time to be in the parks and head for rides not affected by the rain! It's amazing how many people leave the parks when it rains!

Plan to layer clothing. Use a long-sleeved, button-front shirt as a very light jacket, then top it with something heavier if necessary. You'll probably want both shorts (if you wear them) and casual long pants--jeans might be a a bit heavy, but if you like them, bring a pair! If you plan to shop for a lot of clothing, mind your baggage allowance and just bring two or three changes of clothing and a lot of space for purchases! :)

Bring at least two pairs of shoes that you can wear for 10+ hours of standing and walking so you can alternate them daily. It's going to be humid and shoes/sandals can take a while to dry. Ditto for socks.

Dress code at PI seems to be just about anything except swimwear! You can plan on making an impression, being comfortable, or a combination of the two! I noticed that the people in the clubs catering to younger people (dance clubs), were dressed--not up, but trendier--than those of us at AC. Most of the people at AC (the one night I was there) were 30+ and dressed more business casual than trendy!

I have been to Pleasure Island many times and have always worn jeans or shorts and tank tops or t-shirts. I'm on vacation so I'm not dressing. That's pretty much what everyone wears. :wave:
