A couple of dining questions ??

Hi! This is our first time dining during a holiday time (4th of July) when we actually have dining discounts available to us. We are DVC members, have an AP and the DDE card for this upcoming trip. However, am I to understand there are no discounts at all on the 4th of July itself for dining?

If so, that leads me to my next question: How is the pizza at Spoodles pizza window and does anyone know the hours that the window is open? I will be making my ADRs this week and am considering either cooking something simple at our villa(BCV) or getting a pizza and heading over to Epcot for the fire works on the 4th. I really wanted to book Le Cellier for dinner on the 4th since we loved that last August, but if we can not get any kind of discount on the 4th, I think DH would probably want to save that meal for another night since it will be well over $100 for the 3 of us.

Oh, I am sorry, one more question. Does Olivia's at OKW take ADRs for lunch and or dinner?

It is nice to be able to make ADRS at the 6 month point but boy I am not used to all this definite planning of meals this far before my trip!!

Well, I can't say if Spoodles is good since we haven't tried it yet. BUT...I can tell you that we didn't get any DDE discounts on Christmas Eve or Christmas day...so we opted for a Candlelight Processional dinner package on the 24th and then headed to WCC for a set price meal.

As for Olivia's...yes, they do ADRs, but in the 2 times we've gone there have found no need for them...both times were lunch though.

This is what I found on info on the DDE I had from last year...

Certain restrictions apply during holidays and special events, please check with the restaurant when you make your reservation. Blackout dates include major holidays: Mother's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years' Eve, New Years' Day.

Thanks ciera321. I think we will cook in that night and then head over to Epcot for the fireworks. I do not mean to sound cheap, but this is our first and maybe one of our few times in a 1 bedroom so if there is no discount that day, maybe this is a good time for cooking in. Thanks!
