A Commando Trip Report 6 Days Almost 100 On The Move Hours!

We leave HS and head to Epcot, 1st thing on the list is the Disney Visa photo, we get in line, wasn't bad about 15 mins, we get in and I get alittle surprize, Mickey comes up to me and points to my shirt, he points to The Dis Dads Club, then Disney Commando, he claps and pats me on the back,:cool1: I took it as approval from the Mouse Himself:goodvibes

You'll never guess what my son wanted to do next, you guessed it, MS & TT:lmao: We then went to hit the rest of the storytellers in the WS, hit UK, France, Italy, Germany & Moracco and finished the storytellers 100%we got pics and autographs from all of them:goodvibes

Before dinner my wife wanted to hit the photo place to pick up our visa photo, we then did Nemo (5min wait at 8pm) now the funny thing about this is from when you walk in till and go through the line maze it takes about 5mins:lmao:, we walked right on:cool1:

8:20 Le Celliar ADR , I'll start the next part here since the rest of the night was quite funny :lmao:

Day 6 - Part 3- Dinner at LeCelliar & we meet up with Carl:cool1:

We leave HS and head to Epcot, 1st thing on the list is AAA photo, we get in line, wasn't bad about 15 mins, we get in and I get alittle surprize, Mickey comes up to me and points to my shirt, he points to The Dis Dads Club, then Disney Commando, he claps and pats me on the back,:cool1: I took it as approval from the Mouse Himself:goodvibes

What's the AAA photo? I only know of the Disney Visa photo at Epcot?

still sitting here on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what we did?popcorn::popcorn::hope we had fun doing whatever it was:thumbsup2

Carl, well you know we didn't get to do much since the darkside was against us, I'll be getting to it soon, but just to let you know what we did do my son considers you like a uncle:goodvibes:

We had a 8:20 ADR we got there at 8:15, were told it would be about 20mins, while we were waiting I started talking to the hostess's, asked them why they weren't saying eh when they talked, answer we been here too long it wore off, they called one of the girls up front, they told me she still did (has been in the U.S. a short time), sure enough she said it a sentence as many times as some here use the word "like":lmao:

Then we started talking about Bob & Doug McKenzie, they knew them well, the found it funny that I had a vinyl record of them (mid 80's), other people waiting got into the conversation, and record & movie qoutes started flying around the room:lmao:

When it was time for us to go in the girl at the desk, said someone was on the phone looking for my son (he was wearing his B day button), it was Goofey with a B-Day message:goodvibes

It was a Great dinner, I had the filet mignon, I would have to say the staff was very friendly, and the food and service were top noche:thumbsup2
Also the Chocolate Moose would be my pick for dessert, it coolest looking dessert I ever had, it also tasted great:goodvibes

It was after 10pm when we got out, Epcot had a EMH's till 12:30pm, so we were going to hit the WS, In the UK we were in the shop and we hear " They will let anyone in here" It was Carl:cool1:

We traveled around the WS looking for some cocktails, the main word here is looking:lmao: We found it quite difficult:confused3, seems like after a certain time the booths close and it goes into a prohibition type area:confused3, The booth in Morraco was open and we did get 1 cocktail:yay:

We hit the shop in Germany, Carl was looking for a glass for his DD, but once again the person who could put a name on was not there:scared1:, if you wanted to order one it could be shipped to your house, but the shipping fee was more than the glass:confused3

After leaving WS we went on TT, said 50 standby, but was only around 5mins, on the ride (we were in the front), we had the 2 girls in the back cracking up, when it came to the failing brake test, I said Hunter get off the cell phone, going through the forest part we were picking out a Christmas Tree, and when we got to the straight away, we were saying stuff like Hunter it's last call in a few mins get us there quick:lmao:

After TT we did MS and called it a night, my son really likes Carl (like a uncle:goodvibes), look forward to hanging out with him again, maybe at SP this summer:thumbsup2

Next Day 7- 1900 PF breakfast & a few hours at MK before we head home.

:thumbsup2 good update ron! :lmao: they let anyone in here.:lmao: that would have to be carl. glad you guys were able to " find something to do.":thumbsup2

Ron: you tell Hunter he can be Uncle Carl's co pilot any time lol :thumbsup2.Its nice to know I made a lasting impression on him. Hopefully we can meet up at Sp,I know we will meet up at the DDC tri-state zoo trip!:thumbsup2

ps I knew we shoud have stocked up at the first drink stand!!!

We got up around 5:30 to start packing and loading the van, alittle after 7 we were checking out, but I still had 1 thing to do before we left, still had 1 of the anytime FP's for Epcot, so I went to the Food Court and picked a family to give it to pixiedust:

We then drove to GF for a 8am breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, This is my favorite breakfast, a good mix of characters (Pooh, Eeyore, Mary Poppins, Alice & The Mad Hatter) plus the food is really good (don't forget the strawberry soup)

After breakfast we did some Christmas pics in the lobby, and it was off to MK for a few hours.

When we got to the end of Main Street by Casey's I noticed someone who I thought at 1st was the Mayor, leaning against the fence (people just walking rite by:confused3) I went up to him and told him I voted for him, He said Doesn't matter who you vote for it's how you count the vote. It wasn't the Mayor, it was Councilman Deweey Cheatin:woohoo: I love running into these type of Characters (the one's most people don't even know exist and will walk by:confused3)

We went on SM, Space Ranger Spin, got a pic with Pirate Goofey (after seeing Carl's pic with Pirate Goofey I had to get one:woohoo:), hit the meet & greet for Woody & Jessie. Went on Big Thunder Mountian and off to lunch.

We ate lunch at Pecos Bill's, it was the 1st time I was ever there, and I liked it, the food was good and there was plenty of seating.
After lunch it was time to go, we did get a pic & autograph of 1 more character, as soon as we got out off Pecos Bills I spotted it, The Pecos Bill (wasn't it's name, but I can't read what he wrote:confused3) Hand Puppet & Greeter, another one of those characters people pay little attention to:confused3

Now the sad moment has arrived to exit the gates for the last time, and head to the train station for our ride back home:mad:
The one thing my wife has learned on these trips home is by the time we get off the train, we will have a estimated week allready planned for our next trip:yay: This year it is in August, can make ADR's real soon, a PTR may also be on the way:confused3

So for you the reader, this tour is now over :goodvibes, For us a new one has just begun:cool1:

Ron-
I can't believe I missed most of your report! Wow, I'm off the DIS for a few weeks and I can't get caught up fast enough. Overall, it sounded like a great trip. Thanks for sharing it with us!

What a great end to your trip! So how do you spot these "characters" hanging around Main St? I'll admit I would be one of those people walking right on by. I would probably be speed walking to the next attraction actually. :lmao:

I can't believe it didn't get hijacked by the DisDad pirates:lmao:

The biggest eye catcher for spotting them has to be the hats. Deweey Cheatin was wearing a Derby, suit with tails, and a pocket watch, although he was a older gent, you don't see many people dressed like that in WDW.:confused3

Don't the cm's who work in the stores and shops on Main St. dress kind of like that? Who's the character that does the opening show at rope drop? Is that the mayor? I would probably recognize him if I saw him walking by, but I'm not sure I would stop to talk. I never know what to say to them! :confused3

I'm pretty sure the Mayor wears a sasche that says Mayor, but he also dresses in suit and hat, like Deweey Cheatin. I don't know how many more characters there are on MS, but I'm sure there are more.

Whenever I see a MS politician character, I always tell them I voted for him, last year I meet the Mayor and said that, He said It was a landslide Victory no one wanted to run against me:lmao:
Besides the Mayor & Deweey Cheatin
Other Characters I've come across on MS over the years are, Fire Chief, Dapper Dans, And the Women's Group (forget their name)

It's fun to try to find them since you don't know where they will be, or time they will be out, if at all.
