I checked in at Liberty Tree Tavern and the place was packed. I waited around 25 minutes for my table. There were a ton of little kids running around the place. Up and down the stairs, which I was sitting just in front of.
Once I was seated it took another 5 minutes for my server, Hugue, to arrive. I deviated from the plan of two appetizers because I was STARVING. I ordered a coke, the crab cakes and the pot roast.
The crab cakes were delicious. They were very different from Kona so it was hard to compare. I was expecting the succotash that it came with to be warm, but instead it was cold. Despite that, it was very good and I cleaned my plate.
The pot roast was okay, I probably wouldn't get it again. I think I may have convinced myself when ordering that I liked pot roast a lot more than I actually do. I like MY pot roast, maybe that's the problem.
For dessert I had the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. SO GOOD! I would go back there just for that. It tasted kind of like a blondie type brownie covered in yumminess. The brownie was undercooked, but in a good way. And the vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce really made it awesome.
Like any smart person would do, immediately after inhaling my lunch, I went to ride Splash Mountain. I used my Fast Pass and had almost no wait. The family in front of me had the most adorable little girl. She put her arms up on every single drop, no matter how small it was. She clearly had ridden it before and it was her favorite ride. In the ride photo I think we were the only two that put our arms up!
My Fast Pass time for Jungle Cruise arrived and I made the trek back to Adventureland to use it. I probably didn't need it in the long run, but it worked to my advantage since I literally walked right on the ride.
The CM sounded really rehearsed. His delivery was off so nothing was actually that funny. He was just kind of done with it and you could tell.
I walked towards Liberty Square to go see Hall of Presidents. I had to stop a few times because the Castle Suite Winners parade was coming through. What a pathetic little parade they have.
At HOP the same weirdo CM that is always there was there. He puts on his "I'm important" voice and walks around telling people information about presidents and they pretend to be interested in what he is saying. I'll be honest, I pretty much hide and don't make eye contact with him because once I got stuck in a conversation and it was awful!
Normally, HOP = nap time. I sit all the way in the back row as close to the door as I can and shut my eyes. Today, there was a baby that cried and fussed through the whole thing, so I watched most of it. I did at least close my eyes and get a slight nap in though.
Somehow, I wasn't quite full enough from my lunch and so I got a Dole Whip Float. Those things are the best!
As I was eating it, I crossed through the hub to Fantasyland. There was no wait for Philharmagic and I walked right in to the theater. My timing was perfect as the last show was just ending.
During the show, my phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, so I just put it on silent (don't worry nobody heard it ring) and figured I'd check the message after the show. I had ordered some furniture for my new house that was supposed to be delivered the next Monday after I moved in. The message was from the furniture place telling me that 3/4 of the bedroom furniture I had ordered was on back order and wouldn't be delivered on time. UGH! I didn't want to think about my move while I was away and now it was finding me. I tried not to think about it as I made my way to Tomorrowland.
Up Next, Tony the Bartender doesn't like me
