A Clinton-free campaign

This is a question I've thought about posting for a while but never got around to it.

Let's imagine that, for one reason or another, Hillary Clinton is not running for the Democratic nomination for President. Maybe she never got in, maybe she dropped out for some reason -- I'm not too worried about that part. What I'm wondering is this:

If Hillary is out of the race, who benefits? Who do her supporters end up supporting? Does someone else get in to fill the void, or do one of the other contenders gain support? And, if you are a Hillary supporter, who would be your choice?

I said John Edwards because there is a very intriguing rumor that is being published in a "supermarket tabloid coming to your town", soon. The owners of the National Enquirer are friends of Bill and Hill, so one has to wonder;
1. Is it true?
2. Is it a false story planted to discredit John Edwards? If that were the case, why would they do it now as it may not benefit Clinton but Obama.
3. Why is Andrew Young claiming paternity and his wife is still speaking to him?

But it doesn't have to be the truth because it is well known that the publisher is a friend of Bill. What makes one wonder however, is that Andrew Young has stepped forward. He is friends with Edwards and the woman in question was seen dining at the Young's home. Just google "Edwards National Enquirer" you will get 83,000 links! The first page will answer the question.

Rubbish. I think Edwards is waaaay too smart for that particular scenario and Hillary is also waaaay too smart to be involved in something that potentialy explosive.

At worst, it's just another over zealous supporter. ALL the candidates have 'em.

Well, I fell right into that one!

When I heard it this morning on the radio I did not get the whole story and turned every news station on this morning to see what it was about. I could not find it anywhere. I asked clients today and no one knew about it. Now I find out it is from the NE---great!

I had not heard about a previous rumor about him cheating on Elizabeth. The story sounds fishy and it sounds like that Young man might be covering. If Elizabeth does not beat this cancer beast, we'll probably learn the truth about Edwards and Hunter and they'll end up like Charles and Camilla. That's a lot of speculation, I know. But if true, people will not a man who cheats on his wife esp. when she is already down with cancer. People really like Elizabeth Edwards I think.
Let's hope it ain't true.

As you recall a "campaign advisor" just stepped down for bringing up the Obama drug flap. Hillary apologizes. Insists that the campaign had nothing to do with it. She looks good. Someone falls on their sword and the story is 'out there'. I am guessing she has more than one soldier that will fall on their sword.

And THEN about a week after we swear in the next President, the pundants will start talking about the next flippin Presidential candidates. I hate politic(ian)s PERIOD!
