What is the COLDEST time of year to go to WDW?

I like it chilly, I like it cold, I like to not SWEAT!

One really never knows because the weather changes from year to year. Your best bet will be to go around February. December can still be sort of warm depending on how the year has been going. Feb. is a good bet!

HEHEHE

I thought this was a different kind of question. Well it is late for me.....

Early February....Just a guess really.....

I was there in Jan. of 2000...it was jeans & sweatshirts the whole time. The evenings were very crisp & I loved it. We didn;t pack enough for such cool weather, so that was a bit of a problem, but just check the weather on the internet before you go (or just buy Mickey sweatshirts like I did!). Jan or Feb would be good...

:)

We went in early February my first trip, and my mother made me wear wool pants, a wool sweater, a turtleneck, a winter coat with a hood and a hat. It may get cold, but it doesn't get THAT cold. I'd do away with the hat, and one layer of clothing. :thumbsup2

(We actually took a day trip - this was in 1972 when WDW could be a day trip - when we went to Tampa for Gasparilla Days. If you go in Feb., I would recommend Gasparilla. It's pretty cool!)

We always go in LATE Jan through EARLY Feb and some years I find I have worn my jeans (not shorts) every day at the Park and even a sweatshirt!

We have been at XMAS time when it was brutally hot....

I went in January, it was 80 degrees.
GL on the whole chilly thing :p.

One Christmas trip they were selling mittens! Between the cold and the crowds we have never returned in December.

"cold" is a relative term. We've been in January, when lots of people were in jeans and sweatshirts, but my kids were in the pool every day! Mind you, we'd just left minus 30 degrees back home, so anything over 60 was downright balmy to us!

We have been twice around December 16 and had to wear sweat shirts both times! DH says no more Dec. trips even if it is our anniversary! :confused3

even in Nov. it can get pretty chilly at night, we've seen it get down to around 45 to 50 at night. pretty chilly for when it got up to 85 during the day. but if you want it cold all the time feb. is the time to go. 31 days and counting.....can't wait... not soon enough!!!

We went several years ago in Jan and wore shorts and t-shirts the whole week. It was in the low 80s.

I vote January. When we were there it was 40 degrees and we watched Spectromagic in a stiff wind while wearing winter coats, hats, gloves....and we were still cold!

However, I think January is usually a bit nicer than that. ;) Jeans and wearing a coat by sundown.

Went twice in December and have about the whole month covered - very cold, and that's coming from a New Yorker. I found it to be warmer in late February/early March. I don't remember how it was in January.

I went in December of last year. I wore jeans and a short sleeve shirt during the day, and jeans and a flannel shirt at night, which I ended up rolling the sleeves up. It cracked me up to see all of the people at night that had ski caps and scarves on. I guess the locals have a different idea of what 'cold' is.

Is VERY COLD for me! :teeth: I can stand Miami cold but Orlando Cold cuts me to the bone! :cold: Especially if its raining or cloudy, that makes it a LOT worse! Last Feb. it was cloudy till about 12 noon, than the :sunny: came out, the winds changed and it dropped about 10 degrees! :sad2: I couldn't believe how :sunny: and :cold: it wasd ALL at the same time! :confused3

I am a good Southerm girl, so bring on the heat and humidity!

We normally go Janaury 3-10. One year it never got above 50, and it was a damp, windy, bone chillign cold. Even Hoosier husband had to break down and buy a sweatshirt.

OK Dec of 2003 we went from Dec 19 until Jan 4....The first week it was freezing. Long pants sweatshirts...no swimming. The second week was high 80's almost 90. Shorts and tshirts and lots of swimming.

You just can't guarantee weather in FL.
