~~ A Celebration of Life-long friendship ~~ Sew Sweet 16 ~~ Now N' Thens 3/11

Another great update. You sure did a lot of dis meets while you were down there. I've never done the drawing class. It sounds like it would be fun.
It wasn't the real cybermonday yesterday, just Walmart's early version. You didn't miss much.
Your Monday's are a lot like mine. the only difference being that we do movies and video games. We have a lady who does books and a guy who does music. It's an all day project but fun.
Today the cd maker in photo went crazy. Fuji couldn't figure it out. It's turned off and unplugged. I had to enable local cd burning which means we're using the old cd burner from our wet lab until they sent someone out to fix it.
I hope you had a great day.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Alli’s hair! She looks adorable! I hope she likes it because she really does look awesome!

I love Dr Who, but I’m not a fan of the new Doctor either. I had gotten AWESOME shirts for us while we were on our trip that had a Dr Who theme - although I didn't wear mine because I felt it clashed with my hospital gown. :rotfl2: I should post a photo in my TR.

I know a lot of the big box stores around here had “Black Friday” on November 1 – the day after Halloween so I assume they also had “Cyber Monday” yesterday. Personally I think it is ridiculous!

Ladylyons – I sure hope you and little Jeffrey feel better soon.

BUmmer... I sure hope the two of you are feeling better today.

So I seem to be on the mend but Baby Jeffrey not so much. He was up until 1 am!! Then woke up screaming at about 3:30 am!! Was not a good night. By the end of it I felt like a cow because all he wanted to do was eat. :( I think there's a mixture of things going on (sick, growth spurt, and teething!!!)

Glad your day went well. I'm actually looking at getting something part time at Target. Thankfully I know one of the managers very well so she'd work with me to make sure I got schedules that worked for me. I'm going to talk to her more on Thursday.

Wow! What fun meets! Glad they worked out!

Ladylyons – I sure hope you and little Jeffrey feel better soon.

Thanks! I seem to be on the mend and hope Baby Jeffrey is on the mend soon.

D, you look spectacular! Love seeing all your summertime pics because it's starting to get cold over here -- yuck!

I'm actually heading to FL this Friday but Miami instead of Orlando! Going back to my hometown for a week. We are hoping our postponed trip can happen in the spring when I have a break from teaching and my husband can get some vacation time (he is back at work, by the way!).

Looking forward to reading more! Love your posts and daily updates on life because they remind me of the old days of LiveJournal! LOL

PS Just caught up and had to chime in on how amazing Allison's hair looks!

does this help:

this was a great time..

Miss you too!

No - it doesn't help... Makes me miss you more.

Your Dismeets look like they were fun. We were able to meet five Dis board people on our last trip. Even my husband enjoyed meeting them, even though he knew nothing about them. These meetings are one of the things that make a trip to WDW a lot of fun.

I love Monica's shoes! And your bags go perfectly with both your outfits. Did Woody get to see your bag when you did your meet and greet? Those photos turned out really well, by the way.

That's awesome! I just love doing Dismeets! They have grown on my girls too now - they have done so many... I remember our 2012 trip, the first time we ever did DIsmeets, and they were so worried that all of these Dismeets would "take over" our trip... And now they enjoy doing them as much as I do. :lovestruc

I know - her shoes were awesome!!! I wish I could wear shoes like that all day long in the parks.

Yes, Woody got to see my bag - so did Buzz... Which is the reason Buzz was dancing with Victoria - he was very upset that he wasn't on the bag, or the headband, or my shirt... LOL

I still have not seen Maleficent. I'm hoping that I put my name on the library reserve list early enough that I will get it soon now that it is out. I don't want to buy it if my girls won't watch it multiple times.

I also started blogging again, mostly as a place to keep track of the clean recipes we have been eating. Especially since I usually take 2-3 recipes and make my own from them. But I don't think anyone except me has looked at the blog since I restarted.

I hope you get to see it - it was a great movie!

Yay!!! I don't think I"ve been to your blog, can you post a link to it?

I was so excited when I logged in this morning and saw you had updated! And I wasn't disappointed.

Sorry you had to miss the animation class, I know you like to do that. We used to do ABC Commisary almost every trip but now we do table service every trip to DHS - we love Mama Melrose and 50's Prime Time. Funny story about ABC Commisary -we like to eat lunch early so we were there a little before they opened. When they came out to open the restaurant, they made my mom the guest of the day. We got to sit at a table with a table cloth and real dishes and the took our order and brought us our food. It would have been cool - but it took forever!

We love doing the cupcake sandwiches! It makes them so much easier to eat, especially for my messy girs.

I still haven't seen Maleficient - I'm thinking we'll RedBox it sometime soonish. I'm looking forward to it.

So, I went to yoga again last night. It was a different instructor who I liked better - the one on Sunday was fine too, I just liked the one last night better. I also loved going at night - the lights were low and it was super relaxing. I'm going to go tomorrow too but I won't be able to fit another class in until after we get back from Disney. Hopefully I've found something I can stick with. It's nice that my girlfriends are going too - 3 of us went together on Sunday and 2 of us went last night.

Hope you have a great day! When I remember, I am reading your blog too!

I am glad you enjoyed my update Jennifer. I need to be a little bit better about doing them... I am also way behind posting my bags... I'll probably post them all today, so I can get caught up.

LOL about ABC - I can see where that would be really fun - but annoying at the same time. We like to eat early too - but it didn't work out very well for us this trip, it's a lot harder when we now have different eating styles and more people with us.

Yes, you must see Maleficent - I hope Disney does a movie like this for all of the villians...

Glad you are enjoying yoga! We have it on the WII, but I am not sure it's the same as a class? Regardless - I am very non-flexible and watching me do yoga usually ends up in a fit of laughter from the peanut gallery. ::yes::

I know you read my blog - thank you very much. :lovestruc

Hey that's a honest to goodness update!!!
Chalk full of awesomeness!!! I love all your Dis-meets!!! HI Tasha!!! your adorable as i remember you!!!
and you have the same jewelry as D!!! how cute!

I know you did NOT sleep in on of the best attractions in HS. the Muppets are legendary. you must pay homage and give it your full attention!

and WHO are you typing too on your phone all the time! Geesh your on your phone more then anything!!!

damn stalkers..

Hahaha... It was... I love my Dismeets - you know that!

I did - all of us were snoring by the time it was over. LOL

Actually - I think it was YOU and Suzi... It looks an awful lot like messenger. ::yes::

So many dismeets in such a short time period!! How stinking awesome!!

That salmon salad DOES look good! Logan's Roadhouse has a Salmon Caesar Salad, and it is so yummy!!! Looks like you still did great on your eating plan during your trip, way to go!

It was fun! I enjoy them so much... Sadly - this was one day, I needed a schedule to keep them all straight. LOL

OOoh - that sounds good. Meh- I didn't do the greatest on my eating plan... In all cases, I tried very hard to choose options that fit with in my lifestyle, but there were those desserts that snuck in at every meal that threw me off. I just did the best I could and enjoyed myself - now that I am home and back to life, I wouldn't change a thing.

Loved the update. All the Dismeets looked fun. Glad you got to have them.

I plan on buying Malificent today as well. Love that movie.

Thanks Shannon! I haven't seen you in a few days... I hope all is well.

Yay!!! I am so excited that it's finally out on DVD, such a great movie!

And an update to boot!

Wow - you get a lot of DISmeeting done while you're in WDW. It's a wonder you have any time for rides and attractions!

Allison's hair will look better by the end of the week - have less of that chopped look. I also chopped about 6 inches off my hair - I'm no longer sitting on it or tucking it into my pants.

Just a fly by as I'm training a new phone person at work and don't have my usual leisurely lunch break.

Hi to y'all and prayers for those that need them.

Hahaha... That Friday was a CRAZY Dismeet day... but it was so fun to meet everyone! Hehehe... Sometimes I wonder about that myself - but I manage.

LOL - It's growing on her little by little... I think it's really cute - makes her look a little spunky - which she is by nature anyways. :thumbsup2

LOL - Your hair was that long? WOW... That's how long V is trying to grow it out.

Hope you had a great day!

Alli's hair looks great! Sorry you had to miss Animation Studio, but that Dis meet was awesome.
Have a great day!

Thanks Lynee - I'll be sure to tell her.

Yah - the Dismeets were awesome! And it was worth missing the Animation Studio.

I hope you had a great day too!

Oooh, great update! I don't know how you guys always look so cute in the hot August sun.....cuties

I got my Maleficent yesterday in the mail from DMC and I can't wait to watch it again. Such a fun night that was!

Hahaha... Not a clue? I do know that this year's heat wasn't nearly as bad as 2013 - even though this year was record breaking while we were there, and 2013 wasn't. :confused3 I think, this year we knew what we were getting into - so it was easier on our bodies?

Yay!!!! I am so excited that it's out on DVD! That was a super fun night!

Sounds like you had a great day at HS even though you missed the animation class. I really enjoyed that class when I visited WDW last year.

Even if we haven't had much snow before now, we had a cold period in early October when everyone thought it would snow. So I got my snow tires on my car in early October. So when it suddenly started to snow in the afternoon a few days ago I was all set. I couldn't find the car brush (to brush the snow off all the windows and roof of my car) so today I had to go and buy a new one. Even if I have a Webasto engine and interior heater it's good to have a brush for the times when the Webasto don't do the job properly.

We did! I was bummed that we missed out on it - but we've done it before, and as long as BFF and O were able to do it - I was better about it. I would have felt really bad if they had chosen to do the Dismeet and not the Animation Studio.

Good, I am glad you got your tires on early... And you have a nice new car brush. :thumbsup2 Speaking of which... Not a clue where mine is?

Another great update. You sure did a lot of dis meets while you were down there. I've never done the drawing class. It sounds like it would be fun.

Liz

Yes - that day was full of Dismeets... It was, by far, my biggest Dismeet day.

Ahhh - got it... I was wondering about that. LOL I thought they went and changed Cybermonday on me.

Yes - I enjoy my Mondays a lot now, I am never bored and my days go really fast.

Hopefully your lab is back up and running soon. Have a great day too!

I should post a photo in my TR.

Ladylyons – I sure hope you and little Jeffrey feel better soon.

Thanks! I'll be sure to tell her... I think she is liking it more and more as time goes on.

LOL... Yah - it probably wouldn't have gone well with your hospital gown. :confused3 I'd love to see a photo of them though.

Ahhhh... Interesting... I am soooo out of the loop. It's all a big marketing ploy... It's bad enough that we all have to work on Thanksgiving day. :(

So I seem to be on the mend but Baby Jeffrey not so much. He was up until 1 am!! Then woke up screaming at about 3:30 am!! Was not a good night. By the end of it I felt like a cow because all he wanted to do was eat. I think there's a mixture of things going on (sick, growth spurt, and teething!!!)

Glad your day went well. I'm actually looking at getting something part time at Target. Thankfully I know one of the managers very well so she'd work with me to make sure I got schedules that worked for me. I'm going to talk to her more on Thursday.

Wow! What fun meets! Glad they worked out!
Thanks! I seem to be on the mend and hope Baby Jeffrey is on the mend soon.

Glad you're feeling better, I hope little Jeffrey is better today. (((hugs)))

I hope you are able to get Target to work with your schedule... That is the hardest thing about working there, is getting them to work with you on that. It's taken me years - and now we are going through it all again with Allison. Good luck and I hope it goes well.

LOL

Lissette

PS Just caught up and had to chime in on how amazing Allison's hair looks!

Thanks Lissette! Yah - it's getting cold here too... Not ready for winter.

Have fun in Fl! I hope you have a great trip! I sure hope your Orlando trip can happen in the spring.

Thanks! I am glad you enjoy my posts... I always feel like I am boring - but many have told me that they enjoy them, so I keep doing them.

Thank you! I will be sure to tell her! Have a great day!

**********************************************************

Well, I lifted weights right away yesterday morning...

Then I was straight up to my sewing room to finish up last week's order. Thankfully, I didn't have much to do.

From there, I started on this week's order... Love the fabric - and LOVE the quilting on this one... Very cute!

Which means, it was a FULL day in my sewing room.

I had to take Alli in to work at 5, and at the same time, I picked V up from school - she had to stay after to take a test. I had to UPS last week's bag to the Contemporary and stop at the grocery store to grab a couple of items for dinner.

When I got home, Josh had stopped and picked up Maleficent for me... :lovestruc What a sweetie!

After dinner, we went and voted... No, I did not post on FB that I voted - I don't know why that was such a big deal this year? :confused3

Then we watched Maleficant. Josh really enjoyed it - he said the perspecitve on the story was really good. I have to agree. ::yes::

Josh went to get Alli and I went to bed.

Today... It's Walk Away the Pounds this morning...

Then straight up to my sewing room to work on the applique for this bag... I will be working on it all day - but I hope to finish today.

Gus is picking Allison up from school and bringing her home - I think they are hanging out here?

That's about all. A pretty boring day. :wizard:

Keep your eyes open - I have a bag or two to post here today, I've been really bad about posting them on the Dis.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:

I just loved how this bag turned out... BFF actually found this fabric for me - and I just knew it was perfect for this bag, with all of the hidden Mickey's all over it. I just loved everything about this bag - it's one of my favorite Wishes bags I've done so far. :lovestruc

And finally - a fun holiday bag! I made this for a good friend of mine, who has waited on my custom order list for a year... It was fun to do something for a friend.

Sorry for a the bad pictures too... My camera was MIA that week - so I had to take them with my cell phone...

We were able to go to the drawing class at DHS on our Sept trip. I've always wanted to try it but DH had always been rather uninterested. Well, a super hot and humid evening made the air conditioned building tempting for DH, so we got into the last class of the day. The CM let the group vote on the character and we all voted for Buzz Lightyear. DH was surprised at how much he enjoyed the class. And his Buzz was a lot better than mine. :)

BFF did a great job finding that fabric. I love the bag that you made with it. And the bag would go with a lot of different outfits. :lovestruc

I figured it was us you were talking to! LOL

That dang Suzi... all her fault!

I do adore your bags!!!! they came out so cute (as usual) the christmas one is just sooo sweet!!!!

I love all of the fabric you used in the bags.

My blogs is ljcrochet.blogspot.com

Love the bags! The Chip and Mrs. Potts fabric is my favorite! Love those multicolored polka dots on purple.

I am off to another yoga class tonight. 3 days in one week, I'm super proud of myself! And, I've also avoided the drive thru so far this week. It's the pressure of knowing I'll be at Disney next week and my jeans don't fit how I'd like them too and I'm going to get my picture taken but at least I'm moving in the right direction. DH also agreed that I can continue with yoga after we get home from our trip - two nights a week plus one weekend session. Hopefully, I've found my thing! I also have the DVD that came with my mat that I need to try out. I could go totally crazy and take it to Disney with me, but I think that is highly unlikely. I am totally not flexible and horribly uncoordinated so I was worried about yoga but it's only been a time or two in each class where I've felt completely lost. I'm good with that.

Hope you have a great day!

Hey, I was Walking Away the Pounds this morning, too! :thumbsup2 Aw, Leslie... "I Love this, I Love IT!" Sansome! :rotfl2:

Ooooh, I need to see Maleficent! We wanted to see it on the cruise, but then we just had so many other things that could ONLY be done on the cruise that we decided to save it for home. Must try to pick it up this weekend to watch. :maleficen

Such beautiful bags. I am sure you know why I am a bit partial to the Wishes bag. :goodvibes

D, I love all of your DIS meets (and seeing all of your DIS meet friends carrying your bags).

You hit up some good attractions that afternoon; sorry you missed the drawing class.

I loved that Frozen photo-op opportunity.

I LOVE the three bags you posted...they are all great, but really love the Castle one.

Love all the bags. I especially liked the hidden mickey fabric. The Beauty and the Beast is lovely the characters looks great on the purple fabric. The holiday bag looks great as well. I love the fabric combinations of the bag.

Yay:woohoo: My first dismeet is official!!! This was such a highlight of my trip, meeting D~ & Allison and the other disers:banana: D~ you look so fabulous and I loved your Toy Story outfit, that bag is one of my favorites. Allison is such a sweetheart:cutie: I appreciate you getting out of the Animation Class line :artist: I think I went earlier that day and we drew Tigger.
Thank you Wood Nymph for the compliment on my shoes, they are actually very comfortable to wear all day long.:)
I love the new bags, especially the background fabrics on all three:woohoo:
Allison's hair is so cute, I think it looks really cute in the picture where it is straight also.
Have a great week everyone :goodvibesand next I need to post an introduction for myself on the Epic DisMeet thread.

Oooh - Buzz would be so fun to draw! I bet he was kind of hard to do too? ::yes::

Yes - I just adore that fabric and the bag... It's hard to do too much variation on Castle/Wishes bags, because you need to see the stitching for the fireworks - and then the castle can only be so many colors. LOL

I figured it was us you were talking to! LOL

That dang Suzi... all her fault!

I do adore your bags!!!! they came out so cute (as usual) the christmas one is just sooo sweet!!!!

Yes... 99% of the time, it's you. My phone will be dinging away, and Josh will say "Suzi & Mo?"... LOL - yup. :smokin:

Thanks! The one I am making this week is incredible... I just love it - and I really don't enjoy this movie at all, but I sure like the bags I make from it. LOL

I love all of the fabric you used in the bags.

My blogs is ljcrochet.blogspot.com

Thanks so much! OK - I clicked on the link, but I don't think it brought me to your blog - if it did, it brought me to a post from 2004, and I couldn't find any other posts? :confused3

Oooh, great job avoiding the drive-thru... That's a HUGE accomplishment! I am proud of you for moving the right direction annnnd that you get to keep doing your yoga classes after you get back.

Thanks - I did - I hope you did too.

Hey, I was Walking Away the Pounds this morning, too! Aw, Leslie... "I Love this, I Love IT!" Sansome!

Hahaha... Leslie drives me nuts, but I just go into "coma mode" when I am doing her DVDs anyways.

Great movie - but I would totally do the same thing... Save things you can do at home for while you are at home, and enjoy your time on the ship.

Thanks! I do like all of them.

Thanks! It was so fun to meet so many of my good customers that day!

Yes, we did do some fun things - but we have lots more fun to come.

I didn't realize there were 2 of them, wish we would have done the other one too - oh well.

Thanks! I do like that one a lot, as well.

Love all the bags. I especially liked the hidden mickey fabric. The Beauty and the Beast is lovely the characters looks great on the purple fabric. The holiday bag looks great as well. I love the fabric combinations of the bag.

Thanks so much Lillian!

Monica

Yup - it's official now. LOL This was a highlight of my trip too - just to be able to meet everyone. I felt awful when we drove through STL this last spring, and we weren't able to meet - so this soothed me a lot. And I am so glad we were able to sit on that bench and chat for a good long while - it was nice.

Thanks!

And I will be sure to tell Allison... I think I prefer it straight too.

Looking forward to your intro over there. :thumbsup2

I get blamed for everything!

MO......

You do. :stir:

Love the bags! Especially the wishes one!!

Thanks so much! I love that one too!

**********************************************************

I did my WATP yesterday...

Then I worked on the applique for this current custom order. I didn't finish it - but I am close. I think I have about an hour left.

Gus brought Alli home - they hung out.

V went to babysit the neighbors - then they all went to their Wednesday night church group.

I went be bed early.

Pretty boring day...

Today...

It's heavy lifting this morning...

Then I will finish that applique and start on some preassembly - with any luck, I will finish this bag today.

Tomorrow, I am not working at all...

The girls have conferences right away in the morning - I want to be there promptly at 8am when they open. Get in, get out.

Then we are meeting up with BFF to go to the new outlet mall that opened near us this summer... I need to get Brian and Myrthe's Christmas gifts. ::yes:: We'll be spending most of the day together - it will be nice.

I hope you all have a marvelous day today! Prayers and Pixie Dust to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

I get blamed for everything!

Rightfully so.

you and D~ but you hide behind me.. who is totally innocent... always... ::yes::

Just found out they are closing the Target by my house.. and i am SO BUMMED about this!!!! Is yours safe?
