Thanks so much! OK - I clicked on the link, but I don't think it brought me to your blog - if it did, it brought me to a post from 2004, and I couldn't find any other posts?

I lost part of the url when i cut and pasted, i fixed it but you must of tried before I fixed it. Or maybe someone is trying to tell me i shouldn't blog. :)
I'm trying again:

I went to yoga again last night and I enjoyed it once again. I also had another food victory - DH texted me to ask what I wanted him to bring me home from Chili's and I told him not to bring anything for me. Huge accomplishment for me - as I love to eat out. I momentarily regretted it when he was reheating food for the girls and it looked so good but now I am super happy with my decision. I'll be eating enough bad stuff at Disney next week, I can pass on the bad stuff at home this week. I am going to lunch with a friend today and I think I'm just going to have what I want, rather than trying to be super good, but, this should be my only meal out this week where I've probably been eating out 5+ times a week for the last couple months. I am moving in the right direction.

I am running down to the outlets bright and early Saturday morning, I need to see if I can grab a pair of capris for our trip. I'm also in desperate need of some work clothes but I may wait on those. I have a Nine West coupon I'd like to use too. DH has to take the car in for an oil change Saturday morning so we are each going to take one of the girls on our errands with us - not sure which is the better option for me? Peyton will probably complain since we are just shopping for me and Charlotte will probably only be good for about 15 minutes before she starts running around the store like a crazy child.

I'll be updating my PTR this morning with our plans, if anyone wants to come over and check it out :goodvibes

Hope you have a great day!

All three of the bags are cute. Sometimes boring days are nice.
Yesterday me day was anything but boring.
My daughter woke me up early because she got the Jeep stuck in thpart of the mud behind the house. I had to take her to work. The Jeep stayed there until my neighbor could came over and pull her out. Saturday she and her husband will have to clean out the half of the garage where all their stuff is so they can park in inside.
There was an accident on the way to my mom's. I had to laugh. The police office told me to wait until after the car behind me moved and then backup and go around. Like I'm going to back into a car.
The town I live in decided to replace the slow children sign in front of my house with a speed limit sign because there wasn't one on this part of the road. That wasn't a bad idea except the sign has been there for 40 years and wouldn't come off. they finally did get it off and I have a new sign in front of my house.
Today I have to go out and buy a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. We're celebrating it the Sunday before because we all have to work on Thanksgiving.
Have a good day.
Liz

I loved the Halloween pics, SO ADORABLE!

That update though! Gah, you and all your great and amazing photos!! What a huge dis meet!! LOL!! Like everyone was in HS that day! I love seeing all your bags!

OMGOSHHHHHH! That Mickey christmas cocoa bag! HOW CUTE! What a neat idea for a theme too! Love it!

I just love all your new bags! Ours survived their second trip and are now safely packed away until next time! We are hoping to go end of October, beginning of November 2016 to go to both halloween and Christmas party's. It was so much fun to see WDW through the eyes of my grandson. We celebrated his 9th birthday and 1st disney trip! We also love art of animation but it really just show cases what a bad artist I am!
The end of the trip wasn't quite as magical as I started having chest pain on the way to the airport to go home. An ambulance ride, a heart attack and two new stents in my heart along with an unexpected 4 extra days in Orlando made for an interesting journey. I'm thankful to be back home and recovering! I'm hoping everyone had a great day! Ruth

Oh NO Ruth! I am so sorry you had such a difficult time! I am thankful it was at the end of your trip instead of the beginning! I hope you recover quickly and you are back to 100% in no time.

The Wishes bag is absolutely spectacular! The Christmas Cookie bag is so cute. My favorite one though is the Mrs Potts and Chip. It is stunning. The facial expression on Mrs. Potts is incredible.:worship:

We are both finally better!!! :cool1:

All he bags look great but I love the Christmas one!!

Rightfully so.

you and D~ but you hide behind me.. who is totally innocent... always...

Just found out they are closing the Target by my house.. and i am SO BUMMED about this!!!! Is yours safe?

Hahaha... That's only because you are so cute!

I am pretty sure our store is safe... Even though we are a really small store - we are a test store for all of the other small stores, and we are within 25 miles of the corporate offices - so we always have the Target hierarchy walking our store. I am pretty sure our store is safe - and if not - well, I guess that's my clue to finally leave. ::yes::

That is an awesome victory!!! WTG! I am very proud of you! I agree - at first, for me, it was very difficult to turn away from take-out or eating out in general. Now, it's just the opposite for me - mostly because my tastes have changed so drastically - there are only a few places I actually enjoy eating out at. Thankfully - one of them is the bar on the block next to us - the owner makes everything in their restaurant home-made and they sell quality meats... So, it's very nice to have that option really nearby. ::yes:: It will come eventually Jennifer.

Hehehe... I remember those days. Reminds me of a conversation we had with V at dinner last night... We've noticed she hasn't babysat much lately, and we asked her why... Her reply "The kids are getting older and Shanna is much less embarassed to take them in public." - Hahahaha... Total truth - Josh and I just laughed. I asked him if our girls would ever reach that age?

I wish you the best of luck with your shopping adventures! I hope you find something that fits and is flattering. :lovestruc

Thanks Liz... Oh wow - your day was definitely anything but boring. Glad your dd was able to get to work - nothing like a crappy start to her day. Sigh.

Hope you were able to get your Thanksgiving feast... It won't be long now and that's what Josh and I will be doing too.

I loved the Halloween pics, SO ADORABLE!

Thanks... I just love seeing her and Gus together... They crack me up all the time - they really are a perfect match. And it's made a huge difference in their relationship that they took the time to get to know eachother so well before they started dating again - they really are themselves around eachother, and that makes me happiest. :lovestruc

Hahaha... Yes - everyone was in DHS that day - it's true. Not sure if you remember, but like 3 weeks before we left, Disney changed their hours at DHS that day, and it went from just a regular park day to a morning EMH day. So, literally - everyone was there that day, because we were all complaining about it on FB... And that's how the Dismeet evolved. Quite honestly - there were a LOT more Disers there, those were just the ones who actually made that meet.

Thanks! I like that bag too... I'd done a Mickey cocoa one a couple years ago - out of the two of them, I like the first one best... but this one is really cute too.

I hope you have a great day with BFF shopping.

Thank you - the girls and I are very much looking forward to it.

Oh Ruth!!!! I had NO idea!! I am so relieved that you are OK! How scary to have to go through that in a strange place, with out much family around you. Were your girls able to stay on? I sure hope so.

I hope you are recovering OK, and taking it easy.

Despite your adventure at the end, I hope you had a great and memorable trip. :wizard:

Thank you Debora!!! I love the fabric on that bag set... I just knew when I found it - it had to go with this bag! ::yes::

We are both finally better!!!

All he bags look great but I love the Christmas one!!

Praise the Lord!!! So happy to hear this! :lovestruc

Thank you!!!

**********************************************************

I had a nice day yesterday...

I did my heavy lifting right away in the morning - I was done and ready to go upstairs to work by 7:30am... My internal clock has not adjusted to the time change yet. :rolleyes1

So, I worked all morning - I was able to finish the applique, and make a huge dent in my pre-assembly work.

I quit at lunch time, got ready and had lunch - then I headed to town...

I found a few cute dresses I wanted to try on for Thanksgiving - I had never tried on a sweater dress before, so I had no idea if they would look good on me, or not? :confused3 I was hoping one of them would, because I want something new and nice/cozy for Thanksgiving this year - it's going to be a big one, with Josh's family coming from all over. Anyways... I took selfies in the fitting room - so you all could help me decide which one to get...

Keeping in mind - I tried all of them on with jeans under - perhaps not the most flattering. I am planning to wear any of them with black leggings or tights and my boots...

Personally - I like this first one the best.

1920417_10205493388242881_7190221189947565503_n.jpg

This is my second favorite - you can't see it in the picture - but it makes my arms look really small... Wish it would do the same for my gut. ::yes::

1920417_10205493351081952_2915631599811033650_n.jpg

And - this one - not even sure why I am posting it. I don't like it at all. Part of the reason is that I had to try on a size bigger than what I am now, so it looks really boxy and frumpy on me...

10407483_10205493391002950_1859427921955541521_n.jpg

So, what do you think? I really like the first one a lot. ::yes:: You can't see it in the picture - but there is little flecks of red in the gray portion - so Josh could wear his nice red button down shirt, and we wouldn't clash. ::yes:: I am debating if I should get the last pair of boots too - in black?

This is something that is totally new to me... I went in the store, fully prepared to hate how they looked on me, I was not expecting to like any of them. So, this is a totally new experience - and I could see it being very troublesome for my wallet in the coming months... :rolleyes1

Anyways... Your opinions are welcome. :thumbsup2

Afterwards - I did a little shopping at Target, with a spring in my step, because I was feeling mighty good about myself.

Came home and finished up my bag for the week. Whoo-hoo!!! I am off now until Monday.

Gus picked up both girls from school and brought them home. Gus and Alli hung out here, and then they went to a movie. Yesterday was the girls' "Friday", beause they are off of school today.

Josh, V and I hung out here all night on our tablets.

Today, is conferences... The girls and I are now experts... We use our Disney touring strategy and it works out well. We are there at "Rope Drop" and we employ our Fastpass technique... So, we will be there at the butt crack of dawn (ahem, 8:30) - chomping at the bit for them to open the doors and let the masses of people in. Then, we will head straight to the back of the room - work our way forward. Which ever child I am not conferencing with will be our "Fastpass runner" and will go find their next teacher - holding our spot in line until I get there... Letting people in front of them, one at a time, if necessary. ::yes:: We have worked this technique to our advantage in the past, and it works out well. Several parents look at us with envy. popcorn:: Debating on wearing my Donald ears, just to make it official...

After conferences - which I am sure will go well... We are headed to BFF's house to go to the outlet mall with her. I am really looking forward to spending the day with all 3 girls... We got to do a little of it last weekend with Olivia's confirmation - but this will be so much better. We have not had all 5 of us together since Disney.

Alli has to work at 4pm today... Gus is picking her up and they are going out to eat with several of their friends. I gave her a "much later than usual" cerfew tonight, just because where they are going is about a half hour drive for them... Like I told Gus last night - I am not an ogre... If they can't make it on time - just call or text... If I am not worried - then I am much better. So, hopefully they will make it home on time - if not... They better let me know. Sadly - I trust Gus to take care of her... Not sure if this is good or bad? :confused3

As for the rest of us... It's Josh's cousin's (Matt) first hockey game tonight at St. Olaf... So, we are going to go cheer on our favorite hockey team - The Olies. :woohoo: This is kind of a sad year for us, Matt is a senior and we will have to find a new team to adopt - or just continue to cheer for the Olies? My guess is that we will stay with the Olies... They are a fun team to cheer on, and their games are pretty local to us.

Anyways... I hope you all have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend. Prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

I think the first one is the most flattering on you. It has a nice balance, giving you the desired hourglass shape.

One of the things that I missed the most when they graduated from high school were all the sports activities we used to go to. I hope you still get to enjoy the hockey games. They sound like fun. :)

i like the first one the best.

I am not a fan of the green one either. Plus will not go well with your boots.

i'm wearing my new ankle boots today at work!!! LOVE NEW FALL SHOES!!!

Good luck with your conferences today. Yesterday was ours. rather not talk aboooot it. Today the kids are off too! Are you sure we are not in the same district?!?! :rotfl:

ahhh Hockey is back! go have a great time!!! :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh!!! You post that as almost an after thought! Wow! How scary!! I hope you are continuing to improve. You are going straight onto my prayer list for sure! Keep us posted please.

Okay, I have to say those bags, all three of them are stunning! The Mrs Potts one has my heart as I just love that movie, but the fireworks one has that beautiful fabric!!! And I remember your Christmas one from before and the adorable cookie with the bite out of it (V's idea I think?). I really loved that whimsical touch to it!!

I agree with Mo…how far you've come with Allie and Gus. I knew you would get there, but it takes time for us mammas to trust ANYone with our precious daughters! I remember!! I think she's got a good one right off the bat, though, so that makes it so much easier.

I LOVE your conference strategy. Rope drop :rotfl: Looks like it works. Hope everyone else doesn't watch and figure it out…I'm sure the reports will be fabulous. And speaking of fabulous…Allie's hair! Of course she would be beautiful no matter the length of her hair, but that is a great look for her!

Well, I hope you have a fun time shopping and get just what you need for the gifts your looking for. Oh, and I like the first dress the best as well. I also like the second one, but you don't need two very similar outfits. You look wonderful in them for sure!!

I like the first dress the best. The last one was a little too blah.
I don't miss conferences at school. What I do miss is Friday night football. My daughter was in marching band for years and I went to every home football game.
I found out yesterday that one of my favorite co workers is retiring in a couple of weeks. She's a year and a day older than I am. She's also the closer for may of the days. the older two closers only work a couple of days a week. One has another job and the other is a referee for football and then basketball. It should be interesting. Hopefully they'll find someone to replace her.
Liz

Thank you for all of your concern! The heart attack happened on our way to the airport in the "not so magical express" I tried to make it to check in but finally just sat in a chair. I didn't tell my daughter because I really thought we could make it home! We ended up at Orlando Regional hospital, a huge hospital in downtown Orlando. All we know of Florida Is disney. It really was frightening to be in such a scary situation so far from home! All of our extended family had gone home and it was just Carrie(my adult) daughter left. The hospital staff was very kind and after a very looooong first night, found Carrie a room at Hubbard house ( a Ronald McDonald type house) near the hospital.
All of our checked luggage had gone home and the carry-ons were full of fudge and treats to take home. Carrie navigated the bus system for a trip to target for some things to get us through an extra 4 days. I do have to say that Spirit airlines worked with us and rearranged our flight several times .
I am very thankful to be home and while still very tired, am on my way to recovery! Ruth

So glad you are on the mend!!! What a way to end a trip, bit I am glad to see you are recovering.

D~ those bags are fabulous! Love your method on taking on conferences and "wearing your Donald ears to make it official".
Hope you have a great day shopping with the girls.
I had so much to reply about but, today we are like zombies. My nephew returned from his deployment (due to delays and luggage issues) early this morning instead of yesterday evening. We are so thankful for his safe return. I called the house this morning and I can hear his little one in the back ground saying (very loudly) "daddy, c'mere play" that made my heart leap with joy.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I liked the first two. So, if the 1st one is your favorite, you should go get it.

I am sort of brain dead today. Work has been crazy with all the Ebola readiness preparation. Plus, it is getting close to holidays so dance for Chelsea is amping up with extra practices on the weekends. This weekend she has to be at dance both days, plus I am trying to plan something for her birthday on the 16th (her one day off from dance this month, besides Thanksgiving).

Have a very fun weekend.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I like the first dress too.

I am off to try to wrap up my work day. I don't think I'll be on before my trip, but you can follow along on Facebook :goodvibes

My vote is for dress #1 also. I was looking at a sweater dress at Kohls that I think I'm going to buy for Charlie to give me for Christmas.....:rotfl2:

I love the interior fabric on the Christmas bag, though I love them all....

I miss Friday night football too, to a certain extent. Having had kids in marching band for 13 years straight, I think I was ready for a break once Shannon graduated. I spent every single weekend from August until November with the band, either at a football game or a competition, and some weekends it was both.

Looks like Charlie and I will be going to WDW for a long weekend in January! pixiedust: He is suffering from Disney withdrawal and with his work schedule, he needs a break. Since I don't have any vacation time left this year, we have to wait until January. We will be staying at Pop Century, which is my favorite of the values (haven't tried AOA yet, though) and since we have annual passes, it shouldn't be too expensive for four days.:yay:

Hope you and the girls had a great day with BFF and Olivia! I spent the day in a land use law and ethics seminar - LOL. It was actually very interesting and I needed the credits for my AICP certification.

Thanks Sue... I am glad you all think the way I do. LOL

I hope so too - We do enjoy going a lot.

i like the first one the best.

I am not a fan of the green one either. Plus will not go well with your boots.

i'm wearing my new ankle boots today at work!!! LOVE NEW FALL SHOES!!!

Me too... I really liked that one!

Yay!!! Did you post pictures and I missed them?

Thanks... For the most part - they went well.

Hehehe... We did.

I know - it's so hard... I sure hope Gus is a good one - he seems to be, so far.

Hehehe... It did work out well for us... 2 girls and we were outta there in an hour. ::yes::

I will be sure to tell her - I think she is liking it more and more as time goes on, I know she misses her long hair too though.

Thanks!!! We had a great time shopping! It was so fun - despite the cold/rain/outdoor mall. :rolleyes1

Thanks! Me too!

LOL - Yah - I sure hope we can continue with hockey - I don't go to every game, but it's fun when I do go - half the problem is that I can't stay awake. LOL

Oh no... Best of luck to her - and best of luck to you, hopefully you are able to find someone good to replace her.

I am very thankful to be home and while still very tired, am on my way to recovery! Ruth

So, so scary Ruth!!! I am just so thankful that Carrie was with you and you weren't alone. She must have been so scared too! I am glad they found her a room though, and it sounds like they took very good care of you. You are in our prayers, please keep us updated as you can.

Thanks! LOL The girls vetoed the Donald Ears. :confused3

:whoohoo: I am so happy to hear that your nephew has returned - I wish him and his family the best of luck during his reintigration period. But what a sweet thing to hear his dd say... Melts one's heart!

It brings me back to when Josh was gone - Thanksgiving day this year will be exactly 10 years since he left... Hard to believe it's been that long.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend too.

Thanks Shannon!

Yikes... So scary... Praying it doesn't affect any of us.

You too!

Just wanted to chime in and say that I like the first dress too.

I am off to try to wrap up my work day. I don't think I'll be on before my trip, but you can follow along on Facebook

Thanks!

Have a great trip!!! I will be following along on FB.

My vote is for dress #1 also. I was looking at a sweater dress at Kohls that I think I'm going to buy for Charlie to give me for Christmas.....

He is suffering from Disney withdrawal and with his work schedule, he needs a break. Since I don't have any vacation time left this year, we have to wait until January. We will be staying at Pop Century, which is my favorite of the values (haven't tried AOA yet, though) and since we have annual passes, it shouldn't be too expensive for four days.

Hope you and the girls had a great day with BFF and Olivia! I spent the day in a land use law and ethics seminar - LOL. It was actually very interesting and I needed the credits for my AICP certification.

Hahaha... I looked at the ones at Kohls, but I didn't have much luck there. I was kind of bummed - I usually find something. I hope you find one you like.

LOL - I am sure you were ready for a break, for sure! We really enjoy our hockey games, so we'll see how it goes once Matt graduates.

Yay for another trip on the horizon!!! :woohoo: That is so awesome! You guys will have a blast!

We did have a great day! Yikes on the boring seminar... Not sure I could stay awake through that one? LOL

**********************************************************

Tess' post above reminded me... I forgot to tell you all, I decided not to run for a 4th term on City Council. It kind of saddens me to be done - but I am really ready. We have accomplished a lot over the course of my terms, and I feel like it's just time to give someone else a chance to continue our work. This also means, my Planning Commission seat is up, since I sat on PC as a liason between CC and PC... If the CC asks me to stay on in a different capacity - I might consider it. Otherwise, my role within our city is over. It was a little weird to vote the other night, and not have my name on the ballot, but like I said - it's time. ::yes::

The girls and I had a great time yesterday...

Conferences went really well... One of my daughters has quite a bit of missing work... Sigh - and it's not the busy one. So, guess what she is doing this weekend? :teacher: Otherwise - I am very happy with everything I heard... I love it when their teachers tell me how wonderful & respectful they are in class... Makes me feel like I did something right.

After, we went straight to BFF's house... She made us breakfast - LOVE her! We were on our way there when we all realized that we ran out the door so quickly, we all forgot to eat.

When we got to the outlet mall, it was rainy/drizzly/cold - and it's an outdoor mall... So, that part kind of sucked. We managed to find lots of good deals... We found a couple of gifts for Myrthe - but nothing for Brian - sadly. Found Allison a new pair of tennis shoes at the Nike outlet - probably the best deal of the day... Regularly $110, we got them for $27.50 - not too bad, since she is SUPER HARD to buy shoes for. :woohoo: I got my dress - the first one you all liked. :cheer2: And I think that's it? The deals were awesome - and even better, I had my military ID - so we got an additional 10% off of everything... Not sure if that was just a Vetran's Day thing? Or if they do it all the time? I know the store where I purchased my dress from does it all the time - I just forget to use it.

I dropped Allison off at work when we were done shopping...

V and I went home.

Then we went to Matt's hockey game... Sadly, they lost their first home game. Thankfully it was a non-conference game, so it didn't count against them. They have another game tonight, with the same team... Hopefully it goes better.

Both Josh and I waited up for Alli and Gus to get home... Then we went to bed. Not a clue what time Gus left? :confused3

Today... Josh (and maybe me?) is going shopping to try to find something for Brian...

We are also cleaning...

Gus will be over later, he wants to go to tonight's hockey game with us. He really enjoyed them last year. Hard to believe, he's been coming around for almost a year now!

Then, tomorrow... Myrthe's parents are coming to dinner... And so is Josh's dad/step-mom... Possibly Matt... Not sure about Gus - he hasn't met these family members yet - so maybe? It will be a full house - but lots of fun, I am sure.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:
