Our wonderful adult female cat (Snotnose) was attacked by a very mean cat that we brought home for about 5 minutes. (This was a cat that looked in pretty good health, but was homeless. I don't know anything about it's medical history or shot history except that he is an adult male.)
This happened a week ago today. Anyway, we noticed a lump on our cat's back within the last couple days, right before her tail. She would not let us touch it much, so we weren't sure what it was. Anyway, this morning, we noticed the lump was gone and her back was wet. And she was licking it. This evening, we've noticed that she's lost some hair on that spot and there are "scratches" (tooth marks or claw marks from the other cat?)
Our cat looks fine - acts perfectly fine. Is socialable, eating, drinking. We won't be able to take her to the vet until this weekend, if we feel like we need to.
Anything to be concerned about? Is there anything we should put on the "scratches" or should we just let her lick them to heal?
Any advice is appreciated from all you wonderful catlovers.
