We came we saw we conquered part 6- Ice Station cool is radical dude-
Me again. The one who tends to get a bit verbose and sometimes wanders off topic. For Wed the plan was ---->Wed-EE at Epcot, PS-Storybook 10:20am-leave for rest at 2pm, rest at Typhoon Lagoon today. Another early night. Do Laundry tonight.
The cast:
Me-HaleyB around here, just Haley at home. Really should be cleaning her messy house right now. A year later and this still holds true.
My Husband, Steve, also 30 something. Born and raised in Southern California. Some people have all the luck. Disney fan but tries to play it cool.
My Princess, Sophia, six. Little known fact- Sophia was born in Canada. Yep she is a Canuck.
My younger son, Max, who is nine now. Thrill seeker. Takes after his Mom that way. Also food allergy boy.
My older son, Ryan. He is seventeen. He dodges the camera. Loved Disney Quest.
Well folks, this is the first installment since last year when we took the trip.
My details are a bit fuzzy. Maybe I will be able to recap our days in a less verbose way, since my memories are now a bit fuzzy.... lets jump in..
So Epcot went really super well. We got our wake up call from Mickey and somehow dressed and made it to the bus with no mishaps. We made it to Epcot before opening and then stood in line. It seemed like a lot of people but once we got into the park they all seemed to disappear. Turns out we were just faster and knew where we were going. We went straight for Test Track and Mission Space. We got a FP for Mission Space. Actually that would be DH who got the FPs for us. He is our scout after all. He joined us in line at Test Track just as we were going into the building with the horrifying walk through. Well it was horrifying to Sophia any way. No way no how was she getting on that ride. What, did she look stupid? Those are crash dummies. CRASH dummies get mangled. Every kid knows that. So we got a child swap pass and I took her to the post show area. She loved the post show area, good job imaginers. After Steve and the boys got off I used the pass to go on with Max and Ryan. Cool ride. After that we got to go on Mission Space with our fast passes. Also a cool ride. Guess what, Sophia went on it. Apparently being blasted to Mars is OK. She loved it. We thought about riding Test Track again, but the line had somehow become ridicules. Oh well. It was almost time for Sophia and I to ditch the boys again and eat with the Princesses. We got a set of FPs for Mission Space in case we wanted to ride it again. Perfect, the return time was for 11:30 which was when we would need to meet up again.
We had just enough time to hit Ice Station Cool. This was our first time ever and somehow I managed to keep my knowledge of Beverly to myself. Mwa ha ha. My evil plans didnt pan out so well. Being the adventures devil may care kinda family that we are, everyone jumped in and started tasting. Max discovered bev all on his own. He tried to bait everyone of the rest of us into having some. The kid picks up on things pretty fast. He let little sister in on the secret and they spent the next ten to fifteen minutes trying to bait me into having some. They mixed, they lied, they pretended to be sweet- in the end I let them get me. They were working so hard on it. After we were full up on carbonated drinks it was time to split the group up. Everyone agreed, Ice Station Cool was Radical, dude.
I think Steve may have thought I was nuts. I had planned out what he could do while Sophia and I were eating with the Princesses (again). He could: Get some food at the fountain view (we had been there on a past trip and liked the selection of yummy stuff) and do Inoventions. He was then to go straight to Mission Space to wait for us. There were lots of things to look at and read there, he would be fine. So Sophia and I headed off for Norway and Steve and Max. I am pretty sure Ryan ditched us and took off for Disney Quest at this point. He did that a lot. He loved DQ. I think he also was trying to get away from us... someone might have seen him hanging out with his family. Not cool. Unless they are eating somewhere good, then it is acceptable.
Are we done? No. I have more. I just wanted to make sure this got posted as it is the first new post to this trip report since July. Yeah, I am lame, I know. My hard drive bit the dust and I lost my trip report. It had not been posted yet, except for parts 1-5.
Next up, Epcot part two, Storybook and World Showcase.
