A Baptism, MNSSHP, & FD...sweating our way through 6 days at POP!! Completed!

Great updates! :thumbsup2

Juliana sure is a sweetie

That cake is a work of art. The fondant isn't usually considered a beginner's level--very impressive!

[/SIZE] Sorry I'm late to the party! I haven't been on the boards in over a week! :scared1: Oh my goodness about the tickets!! Glad you figured out a solution that didn't involve you having to pay for new ones. Love all the pics of Ana so far. She is adorable! That is kind of weird that she started coughing your first night at Pop. Dakoda did the same thing! He had a little bit of a cough leftover from a cold, but woke up coughing his head off the very first night we were there, and just about every night after. He actually coughed so much that he threw up a couple of times. Did it happen to Juliana again at all after that first night? Strange...
Better late than never!!! You better start working on that TR!!!!! Ummm that wasn't the end of the coughs.:sad2:

Once again, thank you so much for the goodie bags!!!!!:thanks:

Great update(s) Sorry about the cough. We had to use allergy meds when we were there as well. Most days here too.
The baptism looked nice! Did you say nap? Ans he will be 4 soon. Wow,enjoy that both my kids stopped napping around 2 and a half. Though Cayley will occasionally take one.
Juliana goes through phases where she takes naps then she doesn't. The week leading up to our trip I think she only took 1 or 2 naps. I need her to nap to get a little break!!!! LOL:rotfl:

What an honor to be chosen as a Godparent! Shari and I need to sit down and decide one of these days who we would want to take care of the kids if something happened to us. We just don't have much family to pick from and the family we do have are not all the type of parents we would want.

The cake looked great for someone who had just taken clases. Thumbs up to her!

Waiting for more when you get time!popcorn::
GEEZ I've been updating like crazy and I still get popcorned!!! :lmao:

Maybe 1 more before the weekend... maybe not.:confused3

Oh how beautiful your ladies are! :lovestruc

Did the Benadryl do the trick for Juliana and help her? I don't blame you one bit for taking her to the clinic! Better to be safe about it and have peace of mind! You're right - how scary to see everyone else so sick and I feel sorry for all of those families too! I would be bathing in Purrell! :rotfl2:

You're doing such a great job, by the way....

Heather
Thanks for the nice comments about my girls!!! The benadryl helped and then it didn't. I felt bad for a few kids that were at the walk-in center. They really didn't look too good. After I'm done with Sunday I only have 4 more days to go.:sad2:

A beautiful picture of Mel and her Godchild; and I love Juliana's dress...she looks so "grown up" dad!
Juliana is starting to look older. While it is exciting to have a little lady it is also sad that my baby is not a baby anymore.:upsidedow

Great updates! :thumbsup2

She did do a great job on the cake. Plus it tasted really good too!!!

Fun update!
My one sister is my 2 older ones godmother. When she adopted her first child she made my youngest sister the Godmother since she wasn't one yet...(but neither am I. LOL) So I kind of thought she would make me one for her next child. She just adopted a few weeks ago, and the other day we we were talking and she mentioned that some friends from out of town are going to be the godparents. I guess I'm not good Godmother material. LOL! Which probably is true if you want me to guide someone in religion. LOL!:rolleyes1:littleangel:
I grew up Catholic with 12 years of Catholic School, and I always hated being forced to go to church. I know, thats bad, but I just did. (we had some awfully boring preist and a few who were later acussed of molesting boys. ) So now I never go to church. I just consider myself a good person, rather than a Catholic. My mom gets mad about that. Oh well. But I did Baptise all 3 of my kids. I think I still have some of that Catholic guilt in the back of my mind! (Your kids will go to hell if you don't baptise them) LOL!

Another update!! My weekend is just starting which means my 2 days of less time here is coming up too. There's always just too much other stuff going on to do much posting.

Basptism looks like a fun family event with happy kids. What an honor to be chosen. That cake looked spectacular, and so did the pool!! Did you get to swim? Probably not, or you would have mentioned it.

This is just NOT sounding good about the cough. I'll bet it really does start interfering with your itinerary.

Man, you guys have really been busy for the short period of time you've been there!!!!!:banana:

You do have a vaction scheduled yes?:rotfl2:

Poor little thing, those trips to the clinics can be an adventure sometimes.

I go to church mostly every Sunday. I think being a good person, making the right choices, and caring for others are very important. I do pray.. it probably should be more. When we put Juliana to bed we say our prayers too.

We brought our bathing suits to their house both days.... but never took them out. There just wasn't enough time.. is there ever?:confused3

What did you say??? You want to hear more about the cough? Coming up!

The first 2 days we didn't stop. From one thing to the next. We knew it was going to be like this though... so we were prepared. Come to think of it, all of our Disney trips have been like this! LOLOL:lmao:

Doctors visits are not fun. Being 1200 miles from home they are even less fun.:sad2:

I love this picture of the two of them holding hands, that's so cute!:cutie:

We said our goodbyes and we were headed to DTD. We had a 7:00 ADR at Raglan Rd...........
I haven't had the opportunity to eat at Raglan Road yet, I look forward to your review!

Great update!
Glad Jul was okay. Good thing for the car.
Can't wait to see your DTD pictures, and of course food pics at your first ADR:goodvibes

I came here to read about the not so scary party, and i have been enthralled, absolutly hanging on the edge of my seat, eager to know what happens next, only to realize i am at the end with no more updates!!!! This is like a book i do not want to put down, but it has been pulled from me, only to have pages ripped from it!!!! will i ever know what is to come??? i've popcorned myself 10 times! i read it to my husband and am laughing the entire time!!!!! We are headed to POP next week..24th-Nov. 1st, and the photos are great! i have learned that when you close your eyes, all rooms look the same!

The Baptism looks so very special! Its such a reminder on how precious the gift of children are - and I know I'm blessed!! Thanks for the reminder!!

as I sit here, wasting time, I'm listening to dh and dd in the kitchen - the eve of DD 13th (aaack a teenager!) bday - dad and daughter are making home made cinnamon rolls - reading the recipe, gathering "stuff" and just sharing precious time, and making memories....

Hopefully I can get to that tonight or at some point tomorrow. We did have a nice dinner there though!

I like having the car. We can just go where we want when we want. Plus I feel safer having Juliana in her car seat.

WOW thanks for joining!!! and your 2nd post too! I never claimed to be a writer but I like telling our story. I'm glad you are enjoying it! Are you doing MNSSHP when you go at the end of the month?

RUTROH.. a teenager huh? Good luck! LOL

Sometimes it is the little things that you can look back on years from now that are the most precious... even if it is 'just' hanging out making cinnamon rolls.

She is seriously always the happiest girl ever. :cutie:

Can't wait to hear about your ADR!
She is happy... don't get me wrong, just like any other kid, she has her moments. But 90% of the time she is really good!

ADR coming up!!!!:goodvibes

I won't popcorn:: cuz, I won't be able to read it now anyway. I have to get off here and get ready for my teaching now. I hope more than 1 lady shows up!!

Besides, it's 11:00 in the morning, and I haven't had my coffee yet, nor have I tasted the coffee cake I just took out of the oven.

Cheers! Talk to you on Monday :)

yes, we will be attending the halloween party on tuesday the 26th. but enough about me, back to you and your story. i think maybe it's that mac book pro you carry with you...somehow it seems to help tremendously when it comes to doing anything...except remembering your tickets! Put the tickets inside the computer next time...never leave home without it! hahahaha.. now back to your story please!:happytv:

I hope to have the next update tonight... but I do have a few more pictures from the baptism on Sunday.

We had just left Melody's cousin's house and were headed to DTD for dinner at Raglan Rd. I never really knew much about this restaurant, but after reading my2disneyboys TR, I wanted to try it.

We had a 7pm ADR and arrived in the parking lot at 6:55. We got Juliana in the stroller and started walking. We walked in front of T-Rex past Fulton's on our way towards Pleasure Island.

By the time we got to Raglan Rd. it was 7:10.

I walked in and gave the CM my name. She asked if we wanted to be inside or out. We just spent all day inside so we opted to sit outside. It was still pretty hot outside but with the sun going down we were thinking it was going to get a little cooler. There were quite a few open tables inside and out but it took a few minutes to be seated. We finally were brought to our seats. Once I sat down I felt that our 'second' vacation had just started. There were so many appetizers and entrees that I wanted to try. But first time to order drinks. I ordered the beer flight. Guinness, Smithwicks Irish Ale, Harp Irish Lager, and Boddingtons’s Ale made up my flight.

DSC06117.jpg

Melody ordered the Jaygail Sangria which is a blend of Strongbow, Peach Schnapps and Fruit Liqueurs with squeezes of lemon & lime and a splash of orange juice. (taken directly from the menu!;))

DSC06116.jpg

It was nice sitting out relaxing and having our drinks. There was another family sitting at the table next to us. They had 2 little girls- 4 & 7. The 4 yr old kept coming over to our table and was talking with Juliana... it was really cute. Juliana didn't know what to make of her at first but then she started talking back to her. Juliana was in one of her moods where she wants to have fun but acts like she doesn't. Here she is trying not to smile for a picture.

DSC06120.jpg

There are so many great meals on this menu. Both Mel and I were still full from our late lunch so I didn't order an appetizer. Then I couldn't decide on a meal. I wanted something light. I finally decided and we placed our orders.

Melody isn't a beer lover but I made her try each of my beers. Guess which one she liked the best... Guinness. Go figure.:confused3 Anyways, I had my back to the building and I kept seeing the balloon go up and down. I finally decided to take a picture of it. (You can see some open tables in the background)

DSC06118.jpg

Mel took Juliana to the bathroom to wash her hands and while they were gone our food arrived. Juliana had the Goldn' Chicken with mashed potatoes.

DSC06124.jpg

Melody had the Calamari City- Salt 'n' Pepper calamari and mixed tempora vegetables served with a spicy remoulade . She was a little disappointed there wasn't a marinara with it but the dipping sauce was good. I liked the basket!

DSC06122.jpg

I ended up ordering the Crock 'o' Mussels - Fresh Blue Hill Bay mussels served in a saffron, grape tomato and leek broth. It was so good! The broth was amazing and the mussels were cooked perfectly. They were big and not chewy. There were a lot of mussels in there!

DSC06123.jpg

We really enjoyed our meals. When it came time for dessert I really wanted to get the bread pudding, which I heard was awesome. I just couldn't fit it. I was stuffed. So we skipped dessert. One more pic of Juliana and her non-smile! :rotfl:

DSC06126.jpg

We finished our drinks and left. We both agreed that we would eat at Raglan Rd. again. We really enjoyed ourselves. Now it was time to explore DTD.:goodvibes
